The Cow & Parrot Coffee Store in Perth & Kinross

My brother and I visited the Cow & Parrot today for a hot chocolate and a tea. Both were really lovely….i loved my teapot!! Our dog relaxed on the leather sofa while we drank in the relaxed, friendly ambience of this gem of a cafe. Everyone was relaxing in there today, families, children and dogs alike, the staff were super lovely and their dog was the cutest concierge 🐾 Would highly recommend you pay them a visit if you are ever in Aberfeldy, we are going back tomorrow with our parents it’s so nice!

Just visited the Cow and Parrot for lunch with my husband and 2 dogs. The place is very relaxed and welcoming and the food was delicious. I would certainly return and would recommend a visit.

We walked by just after 3 on a Sunday when they are meant to be closing. Asked if ok to get a coffee as we had been recommended here. No problem. Coffee for adults great and hot chocolates for the kids. Very relaxed atmosphere with a couple of friendly dogs there to welcome ours! We were too late for food but the sandwiches looked amazing-huge!

Superb!! With myself being gluten free and vegan I didn’t know if I could get anything to eat but the owner made me an excellent spread!! Salad bowl and, toasted garlic bread and awesome homemade harissa hummus.

What a great find.. fantastic home roasted coffee, lovely pastries & their Pastéis de Nata were top notch…wish it was closer!

Grand coffee and fabulous big cherry muffins with a real cherry perched on top of a sugar cream swirl which we ate on the bench outside because we were hot in our cycling gear.

The best cafe / coffee-shop in Aberfeldy, by a country mile. Excellent coffee, friendly service and food that is prepared with thought and care. Highly recommended.

On holiday we tried this place after a walk as it looked welcoming and very individual. Not disappointed. Big claims were made about fresh out of the oven muffins while ordering coffee and a sandwich and it’s true, they were amazing. Coffee was great, so was the sandwich and the atmosphere was so relaxed and comfortable. If we didn’t have a 200 mile drive to get here we would be regulars, and likely to have to do a bit more walking to shift the impact of all those muffins.

We ordered coffees and a sandwich and the coffees were great but we never got to evaluate the food as it didn’t appear after 30 minutes so we gave up waiting. Shame

I cannot rate this place high enough. Came here by chance with my wife on my 70th birthday. We chose it because it was dog friendly, My choice was a pastrami sandwich, a Portuguese custard tart and a coffee. All were excellent. The last time I had such a good pastrami sandwich was in an Irish bar in a back street in New York.

Best coffee store we have ever visited! We went back every day of our trip! Amazing service, Amazing coffee and of course Amazing food and cakes!! Run by a lovely friendly couple, very welcoming and a cosy environment to enjoy your cup of coffee and cake. Would recommend this little place if you are visiting Scotland all together! Good luck to the owners you were lovely we will be back for more!!!

Arrived just after the kitchen had closed so ordered 2 awesome coffees and a couple of croissants. Then James appeared and went out of his way to make us sandwiches - I can honestly say they were the best sandwiches we've ever tasted!! We'll definitely be back whenever we can! A fantastic wee gem!!

Outstanding service combined with luxury food. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax for a couple hours, look no further. We will be back, not just for moose (the dog not dessert).

Been visiting Aberfeldy for over 30 years and today visited the Cow and Parrot. (Previously the Wades Newsagents). This has to be the best cafe in Aberfeldy. We popped in with our small dog for lunch. Food, coffee, fabulous. Decor and ambience fab. Staff were very friendly and helpful Definitely going back for our morning coffee and croissant before heading home tomorrow 💕. Best of luck in your new business venture. We came over from Pitlochry where we live because we heard good things about this place ..glad we did as the pastrami sandwich was lush followed by banoffee muffins washed down with great coffee ,cute comfy cosy little place and great friendly service ..well worth the drive ..will be back next week on my day off !thank you 😀

This place is so warm, so cozy that it makes you totally feel at home. The owners are the nicest and most friendly people! When they heard it was my daughter's birthday they gave her for free not only one muffin to eat there but also another one to take home! I have been back there a couple of times ever since and every time you feel most welcome. They also love dogs, like most places in Scotland. I just love the place.

We just had the best soup, sandwich and pastry of all time, and the coffee and hot chocolate were lovely too. Served by the nicest of people in a lovely atmosphere. What a great find in Aviemore and we can’t wait to go back.

This is THE best place to eat in Perthshire, if not Scotland. Our caravan flooded, and we needed a hot meal and a hot drink. James and Nicola supplied both, and then some. Have been back twice, and will make this our eaterie of choice from now on. The food is homemade, and not even the Savoy could produce food half as good. The home baking is sublime. Lovely atmosphere, James and Nicola, and their staff, go above and beyond. No matter how busy it is, and it's always busy, you're welcome o stay as long as you want. Disabled toilet (very important). Lovely decor. Food attractively presented, and piping hot. We're always sure of a warm welcome. Thank you, James.and Nicola.
