The Court House in Mansfield

Visited on St Patrick's day. Would not recommend. Very unsavory welcome. The bar maid was more interested in her phone than finishing pouring my pint of Guinness (it had settled a minute prior) Then the karaoke speakers were overly loud and distorted, we try to raise the issue and they give us hassle, and deliberately raise the volume to cause us discomfort. The karaoke staff were not friendly. If anything the woman looked us up and down like we were dirt. Then we get told if we don't like it go somewhere else. I didnt have the choice of where to go, my mother flew in from Ireland and this is where the group was. We get heckled and laughed at when I walk off. (I'm autistic and the volume was causing me discomfort, the entire pub was distorted) Would definitely no recommend! If anything I want this issue to be addressed. There was no need for the volume to be that loud in the first place, and no need to raise the volume if we tell them it's distorted and causing discomfort. Really am seriously upset with the way we were treated here. Like I say, I didn't have the choice of place, it was where the group was at the time. Would not recommend.

It proclaims that it is a free house. That means that they are not tied to 1 brewery and can sell various ales. No ales for sale don't advertise what you haven't got

Company music service was excellent

Shocking barstaff, tab hang on your conversation and if they don't like what they hear they will kick you out, only talking to a mate about our exs, they need going as she gave me abuse

Disco on a Friday afternoon with card bingo. It gets busy and it's good. Cheap drink as well.

We enjoy our weekly visits here, nice landlady and girls at the bar. Nice drink and chat with other customers after shopping. Very pleasant.

Always excellent pint of San Miguel.Always friendly staff enjoy going there.Five star rating everytime.Caroline has really turned this pub around and Hayley knows her stuff firm but fair with everyone old and new customers.

Nice pub an old weatherspoons very cheap beer

Popped in for a quick pint. Chilled out atmosphere and more for an older generation then a younger crowd. Also not bad for watching any sports events on.

Disappointed it's not a Witherspoon's any more.

Gone downhill since Wetherspoons owned it. No cask ales & nobody serving behind the bar. Barmaid stood smoking outside.

Came here for food and must say was nice n hot tasty. Barman was very helpful .but I think the place needs a revamp looking a bit worn now . I've been to lot's of spoons & this 1 is little grubby. 4 stars cos of friendly staff.

The pub itself didn’t smell too good, service was poor took a while too take our drinks order the bar was pretty much clear. Food was standard.

Local style pub, just off the market square, good crowd of people, a regular haunt for some! Evening music and karaoke, for those that like that sort of thing! I go there, so it can't be that bad!

Just slipped in for a pint and a bit of food . Chips were "Sound" and my pannini was ok . Main problem was the loud noise next to me . 12 girls giving it their all and everyone has to talk over each other .

Bar was ok, the staff efficient and a good choice of beers. The pub just seemed a bit flat with no atmosphere ,despite it being fairly full. Perhaps we just called at a bad time.

Friendly staff, friendly atmosphere. Good beer. Whats more to say really.

A tomarnos una copa con mi hija, que era temprano para su tren de Nottingham. Pedimos un gran pinot negro y un café. El café estaba ocupada en el momento de ordenar, así que nos dieron el vino y que pagué por todo el año. El servidor mujeres procedieron a servir para cinco clientes u otros. Los otros miembros del personal (masculino) que habían sido haciendo café para otro cliente me preguntó qué quería y le dije "estoy esperando un café negro. " La persona que inicialmente fue que sirve alguien e inmediatamente se disculpó, diciendo que había olvidado para completar el pedido. El servidor male me hizo un café y cuando fue entregado a mí, él dijo, "usted debe ser más educado. "o palabras a ese efecto. Le pregunté lo que él quiso decir con eso y dijo que debería haber añadido 'por favor' a mi estado de 'estoy esperando un café negro. He comprobado varias fuentes de referencia y no puedo encontrar ningún lugar la necesidad de la adición de la palabra "por favor" a la política de 'estoy esperando un café negro. Luego fuimos a la protesta que no me sirve en principio y mantiene que mi estado era maleducado. Le pregunté por su nombre y a ver el gerente. El director era de la opinión de que "va en ambos sentidos", para ser sincero, no creo que le importase lo que había sucedido. El servidor de hombres continuaron la protesta que debería haber dicho "por favor, cuando hice mi declaración. Bueno, me agrada que no frecuentan este establecimiento.

Provides good service, lovely food at a very fair price.
