Superb food and excellent service

My husband and I really enjoy eating at this lovely restaurant. This is our go to Indian restaurant. The food is always delicious and the quality of food is excellent. The owner and the staff are so welcoming. It’s a gem in the local area.

Hooray ! A decent curry house. Great food, reasonably priced. Interior revamp that was badly needed has obviously put a spring in the step of The Corriander - well done! It's great to see a business thriving instead of closing down. We will be back !

Absolutely love the new renovation and really enjoyed the food. Full of flavour and customer service was excellent. Great place for a family meal. Will definitely be visiting again !

Far too oily,it spoilt the taste,no free salad chutney or poppadoms ,really dissapointed.

First time I have visited since the reduced size of the restaurant and refurb. Really, an improvement. More atmosphere, because of the smaller room. Attentive but not intrusive service. Food delicious (I had bengal fish). Best local Indian. Cost - fair for a local restaurant.

The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food is 10/10 and very reasonably priced.

Loved it! I was craving good food and it was simply brilliant. Tasty tandoori chicken, lamb chops, aloo gobi and peshwari naan. Also friendly staff and great customer service. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Nowhere near as good as it used to be.

2024: Recently renovated and appears to be under new management. Ordered a take-out. The food was good value, and tasted fresh, although the new chef's curries are creamy and not very spicy which is a style I'm not fond of. There is supposed to be an online system that updates and emails when your food is ready, but this did not work and I ended up with cold food (and no apology...). Will give another chance when hopefully they have sorted out their teething probelms. 2020: Used to go here semi-regularly a number of years back and food was always excellent. Got takeout recently and quality of meat wasn't as good and curry sauces were lacking flavour. Will try again in case we got them on a bad night.

Nice decor Poor food all the dishes from chicken tikka masala to prawn madras very runny although ban bread wax ok they were small. Will not go again.

When the first time we came, we were amazed by the delicate feeling of the food. Usually Indian food is heavy , but this place is a bit different which we liked it very much. And the plate was hot , we loved the detail. So we decide to come the second time after 3 days. Here we are again, still enjoying very much !

We have been coming here for the past 2 years, it has just re opened from being refurbished, food and service is absolutely excellent! Best Indian around!!!!

Arrived on time for booking and was promptly seated very limited space as tables were crammed in. Waiter was very keen to take our drink order and starters order on us just sitting down. Very speedy beer delivery not so speedywith the delivery of tap water. Starters we're nice Delivery of of drinks was slow to be generous and then x2 rounds were served together Placing order for main course was very slow Main meal was served piecemeal. Curry sauce was very watery and thin, no thickness to curry sauce no flavour to meat in curry, curry was bland and completely tasteless both chicken and lamb dishes. Dinner plates were massive portions were small and tasteless. Waited very patiently for the bill and asked 4 times Will not be returning. Very disappointed 😞

Was really looking forward to this take away after being closed for refurbishment. When collecting my order I was standing around waiting to pay after being handed my food and had to ask twice to pay. Then when I returned home items missing when I called, appalling customer service. I asked for refund for missing items and was told I would get a call back (no one called back). The food was tasteless and cold. Really disappointing.

Very disappointed with the service. Booked a table for 4 people confirmed the booking. Turned up to be told I have no booking. There were tables empty but they were not willing to accommodate for us. Won’t go back again. Went to The Village on Chaseville Park Parade. Sat us down straight away and the food was delicious.

Coriander is now under new management. The owner is lovely, very warm and welcoming. However the restaurant is not ready to be open as things seem very chaotic and the restaurant is clearly unfinished. I had one item missing from my order too. Sadly the food is also really bad, very bland with no spicing at all. The chicken 65 was excellent to be fair, but the rest of my large order was terrible. The Biryani was particularly bad and was more like a kedgeree. A real shame.

Outstanding curries, new layout and relaunch a great success.

So very disappointed in The Coriander, I have been a regular for years and when they shut for renovations. I honestly thought they were never going to re open. When I got a leaflet to say they was I was so mega excited. Oh well guess what I never got my food ordered a takeaway at 18:39, called an spoke to someone at 18:49 just to make sure they had my order was told yes but 1hr 15 for delivery (no problem was always reliable before). 20:15 arrives and no sign of my food tried to call on a whole host of occasions and no answer until 20:25 then got hung up on when asking where my order was. Tried calling to cancel the order as waited over 2 hours. Took phone off the hook and no call back nothing. Very shocked and disappointed at the new way the corriander is choosing to run. Such a shame. Ordered from another Indian and got within 25 minutes.

One of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Waited over 2 hours for our food, when it arrived rice and lamb was overcooked some of the dishes were quite average. Service was non existent. We weren’t the only ones to experience this. Didn’t feel valued customers.

Attended the launch event of the newly refurbished Coriander. New chef and new decor. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere. We received the same great service as always. The food was excellent and we found the dishes to be authentic Indian food.

I think this restaurant has closed down They not answering the phones and it has been closed on weekdays.

My family visit the Corriander Oakwood for meals in the restaurant and frequently order delivery take away. The food and service is always of a high standard.

The food is delicious. We went on a quiet night and was able to appreciate the decor. The guests before us wanred that we would need to pull out buttons, and we weren't surprised when we did. There was a wide variety on the menu to choose from, something for everyone. The dishes tasted more authentic than I am used to. It was a lovely night out.

Disappointing to say the least. The green mix veg was off in taste. Food of poor quality.

Lovely food and is reasonably priced. The young waiter is very friendly and can't do enough for you, unfortunately let down by unhappy , abrupt rude manager/owner

Brilliant curry, friendly service. Loved it!

We ordered two vindaloos for takeout. On arriving home, we found both the prawn and chicken vindaloo were watery and bland. The sauce tasted (and looked) like the runoff from a can of tomatoes mixed with chilli. I could see the bottom of the box it came in through the sauce. I've haven't been so disappointed in a meal from a restaurant for years. Avoid this place. Eat local, but not here.

We ordered on a tuesday eve Waited a while but it was so worth it. Ive been thinking about the food ever since 😍🤩😍 Items ordered for ref; Chixken Tikka Masala Mushroom rice Lamb chops Mixed starter Mixed grill And all the extras too. V v good. Delish

Been going there for about 3 years. I usually had quite a consistent experience in quality (Average - Good). However, the last time I went I ordered a Jalfrezi and what I got when I opened the bag was tub of watery soup, which was obviously some form of “blend” of whatever they had in the kitchen. This upset me for two reasons: 1) The total lack of care that was put into providing suitable product for my consumption. 2) I try and shop local and support businesses locally and I won’t be supporting this business in the future. I’m sorry guys, I’ve been there maybe 15 times in total and what was provided to me was not a product of care or due diligence.

Disgusting!!! The cutlery was dirty, has curry on them, asked for a new one and got another fork that’s also not cleaned properly, food is plain and cold DONT COME!!!!!!!

Best Indian restaurant around food was cooked too perfection service excellent i highly recommended it.

I was extremely disappointed with both the food and the service my friend and I received. The food we received had no taste whatsoever. I did tell them that I wasn't enjoying the food, but rather than the management offering something else, he started arguing with me ..."that's how we make it" and dismissed the issue and walked away. Won't be going back!

Unfortunately I took two friends for a meal last Thursday it was Not busy so no excuses for over cooked food but the prawn masala came in large bowls swimming in sauce with about five prawn that were like rubber the chicken madras tasteless and all sides where small but tasty. King prawn purée which is supposed to have a light puffy base was stodgy with what looked like ONE prawn cut up , all they seemed interested in was selling more and more drinks. I did not complain because I was with friends and did not want to imbarrass them !! So I won’t be going back!! To many restrants don’t seem to care about the most important thing the FOOD??

I've been going here for years and still love it! I would like them to redecorate the place, but I appreciate funding for this can be difficult. I'll be back regardless!

Delicious food and Great Customer Service, felt truly at home with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff treated everyone with respect and kindness and would definitely come back again.

Great hot food and thay can cater for allergens fir almost all of their menu. And you are not rushed to finish your meal. Highly recommended..

A lovely peaceful evening, the food was lovely although the lamb madras was a little thin with rather small pieces of meat, nevertheless everything was fresh, well cooked and full of flavour while the service was perfection!

Thoroughly enjoyed our food using our Taste card here. It was well presented and tasted excellent. The food did take a bit of time to come but otherwise everything was good.

This is a little bit of a conflicting review, but I feel like I need to say what I have to say. Starting with the good, the food is fantastic, I honestly can't fault it in any way. The negatives. Whenever I've been there, the place constantly smells like your grandmothers wardrobe, the smell of mothballs is initially quite overpowering, after a while you become accustomed to it. If you order a soft-drink, unless you're getting it in a can, chances are it's going to be flat (just my personal experience, perhaps I was unlucky). So if you're reading this, you must be wondering, why only give 2 stars? During these troublesome times in the midst of a global pandemic, some lessons need to be taken on board. This would have been a 4 star review, but I've had to knock off a couple of points for the following reasons... 1) Waiters are wearing face masks, but are wearing them incorrectly, just covering their mouth and not nose and mouth. 2) If you're going to take advantage of the "Eat Out To Help Out" offer in August, make sure you book for an early time. The restaurant was full and the kitchen couldn't cope. It took us about an hour to get our starters. 3) If you're going to take advantage of said offer and decide to go on a Tuesday to take advantage of the "Banquet Night", it isn't obvious that this has been cancelled. They give you the menu advertising "Banquet Night", the waiter leads you down the garden path to take your "Banquet Night" order, but when it comes to getting the bill, they say that the Banquet Night offer has been cancelled as it doesn't make them enough money (why even have it in the first place?!). The manager said a sign was put in the window saying there's no Banquet Night (no-one in the party saw this), irrespective of this the onus should be on the waiter to ensure that your customers are aware that Banquet Night is not available as they are taking the order. The manager offered us a drink by means of apology, which we didn't accept and paid and left. 4) A sizzling dish was brought out to a neighboring table that started to make the entirety of the restaurant cough, it was as if a pepper bomb had gone off. If ever I was going to catch an airborne disease, that would have been the time for it. They ended up opening the windows to provide ventilation, but by then it was too late. My suggestion would be to take whatever that dish was, off of the menu until we're clear of COVID, or make some adjustments to it so it doesn't make everyone start coughing.

The food is great! We love coming here and it's our favourite Indian in the area. We also went back recently during the Covid-19 outbreak once they were offering dining in again, same great food and we were encouraged to use the hand cleaning station when entering/leaving the restaurant. My only gripe was the staff had masks over their mouths but not noses. This does nothing as far as Covid-19 is concerned and just made it harder to communicate

We have eaten at this restaurant several times with friends, each time the food and service has been excellent. Eating at Indian Restaurants is sometimes hit and miss but at The Coriander the food is freshly cooked and is excellent, the staff are very friendly and make sure everything is OK. If this restaurant was nearer to where we live we would be eating there every week.

The food was very good. The service was excellent.

Very good authentic north indian food. A rarity in north London. Nice decor and excellent service. The chef was very accommodating in making some special vegetarian dishes without garlic or onion and they were very tasty too. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and will be coming here on a regular basis with my friends and family.

We had a delicious dinner together at The Coriander. Our main dishes were full of flavour and completely different to any dishes I've tried in other Indian restaurants. I am really pleased we ate there and wish we lived closer! Totally recommend dining here, I would be surprised if you were disappointed.

Placed phone order and collected from restaurant. Ready within 35 minutes. Given a complimentary drink as I was early.Restaurant was quiet but I expect it filled later as Tuesday is banquet night. Discount on my order as I collected it.

Just few steps off the tube stop, this Indian place looks great for an Indian experience. Very good food, equilibrated with its taste, and freshly cooked. Price are very ok. Recommended

First time visiting this place, the food was amazing loved everything, slightly small portions but still amazing. deco was great, staff are soo friendly almost like family, it was really busy but staff are like machines so quick and still so friendly and smiley. I would recommend this place to anyone, Was served by a person called "kaamul" I think. Will be back for more soon.

Lovely Shashlick, Peshwari naan, Saag Aloo, Ceylon (which was hot but that was as requested). Popadums weren't as crispy as expected but nice raita & pickle with them. Great chilled atmosphere to catch up with friends. Welcoming staff.

The food here was delicious. Best peshwari naan I've had in a long time. Looks rather unassuming from inside and out but the staff were lovely. Definitely worth a visit.
