The Copper Lab: Coffee in Banbridge

A great wee gem of a coffee shop, filled with treats to tempt you. The nicest carrot cake I’ve ever eaten but I need to try the croissants as they look incredible. Once you try it you’ll just keep coming back.

This is a peaceful boutique cuppa and treats venue is a local business and with products with a conscience. It’s on the Main Street 1 minute walking distance to the beautiful Solitude Park. We just loved the coffee and tea and patisserie style treats. The carrot cake was the best I have eaten anywhere - light, moist, satisfying and topped with fresh cream and yet this was a generous slice! Tip - wait to be served from the glass case of speciality treats and don’t just help yourself because you see pincers to left slices out and little brown bags for the “take them away option”.

A great find if you want excellent coffee in Banbridge. Very impressed with our coffees and nice to see local produce like chocolate also being sold.

In my opinion the best coffee you will get in Banbridge and surrounding areas. Friendly service and some tempting buns and tray bakes, It’s all about the coffee here.

This place is trying to be different as a coffee shop,but really does not. I was there probably 3.30 ish and I could not even get a ham roll. No food from kitchen after 3pm I think they said. As a diabetic only the usual tray bakes and sugar over loads. I had a latte and a custard tart. Was ok but that was it. At 4.50stg was expensive. Friendly guys running it,but just nut enticing enough tu stand out from others. They have fairly standardised their coffee menu and changed brand,and much less adventurous. But they deserve credit fur what was a new venttre.

Called here for a late breakfast. 2 specials -Porridge with Extras or French Toast Special. Couldn’t decide which I wanted and had no one to share with. Owner offered me a small portion of the French toast to try so I got it with the porridge. First class service. Coffee good here too. Defs go back. Pleasant staff.

This is one of my favourite places for food and coffee. I regularly have their specials which are amazing. Coffee on a different level. It’s a funky little place with great vibes. Staff always very welcoming and helpful.

1st time for breakfast and it was lovely. Very homely, excellent food and really friendly, helpful staff. Good selection of GF options available. They even have gluten free oats! My hubby had the lab breakfast which was a small pot of granola, sausage, bacon, poached egg and fruit and he loved it!

Visited here recently with a few friends for coffee/breakfast. The place has a good atmosphere and is spotless. The staff are friendly and helpful taking the time to explain the coffee menu they have on offer, we opted for a coffee which comes in something you'd see in a lab, can't remember the name of it, but it was full of flavour and was a great choice. For eats, I got poached eggs on sourdough which was great, the bread is very fresh. A person in our group got the 'Norn Iron' fry which looked great and according to him, it was. I would definitely visit here again, highly recommended.

Arranged to meet my friend - halfway point between Belfast and Armagh - for a brunch and coffee. We both had brewed coffee to drink. To eat I had sourdough with avocado, seeds, tomatoes and pickled cabbage... awesome.. my friend had ‘the norn iron’ and it looked amazing. Lots of choice and everything is made fresh to order so they can customise. I used the toilets and baby change and it was totally clean. I will definitely be back and please give it a visit.

Some people are content to drink the muck they serve at blend and batch and other cafes in town, but anyone who knows coffee and enjoys proper coffee knows that this is the best spot in town. No where else even come close. Proper baristas, great beans, great service. No school kids working the weekends or anyone not properly trained to make coffee behind the bar. I wouldn’t even consider having coffee anywhere else.

I visit here regularly! Copper lab has great coffee I love it! Great selection of food and traybakes too. The brownies are to die for and gluten free too! The bagel I had was yummy (see photo) the homemade chilli jam topped it off nicely! The staff are very friendly and welcoming! It's a great place to chill out on your own or with a friend!

My husband & i love to drop in here for a coffee & occassional lunch. The food especially the soup is fresh & delicious & defintely they do best flat white coffee around. All the staff are super friendly & there is just a relaxed welcoming atmosphere, defintely best local coffee shop.

Even though a local I had never got around to visiting the Copper Lab. I now realise what I have been missing out on. Food is excellent and the coffee is by far the best I have had anywhere in a long time. I think you'll find me here a lot more often.

Called in for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food we were served. The menu was relatively small but the food is of a very high quality and there will something for everyone.

I've been frequenting this place since it first opened and watched it grow. I can honestly say there is no place within 40 miles of Banbridge that will make you a better coffee or offer you a healthier, freshly made lunch and believe me... I've done the rounds.

As per last visit always helpful, cheerful stafff with excellent food. Cosy atmosphere with plenty of choices. Can’t fault and would recommend to everyone visiting Banbridge.

Tuesday and decided to treat myself to a little lunch and it just made my day. I just loved the fact that I was able to order exactly what I wanted pancake two bacon and a poached egg. Josh was the man in the kitchen today and boy he didnt let himself down the bacon was REAL the egg was FRESH and the pancake was made fresh on the premises. I am probably shooting myself in the foot here because I will have lost one of my favourite coffee shops to all you foodies now that the secret is out. The owners are so very friendly and welcoming its hard to resist the urge to limit my caffeine intake but boy do they know a thing or two about coffee. I really cant recommend Coffee Lab enough and I will now have to phone my order in advance to make sure I can get what I want. Good Luck to Steven and Rebecca.

This is a great little place that offers coffee/brunch/lunch. They sell the amazing sourdough bread that they serve as part of their lunch menu! Fabulous food in very friendly surroundings, chilled atmosphere. I often go here to work with my lap top as it’s quiet enough to work but not too quiet to feel alone

following a recommendation by someone who had already been, my sister and I visited today for breakfast. Had ‘Norn Iron’ - absolutely beautiful creation.. clean, fresh, wholesome food.. great attention to detail and perfectly presented. Service great and very approachable staff from start to finish.. will be regular visitors to try other things on the menu

I was very pleasantly surprised when I called in here for a coffee recently. This is like a place you’d find in a “trendy” area in a big city. It has class. The coffee might be a few pence more expensive than other places but it is seriously good coffee! The interior is tasteful and quirky. Just the place to meet up with friends for a catch-up or simply to have a coffee and browse through the papers provided. It has a relaxing ambience and the guys who run it are friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

I popped in for a coffee,after leaving another new coffee place across the street where I was met with stares and told they had no brewed coffee,so I left hurriedly.

Love popping in here if I get the chance on a Saturday afternoon. It's not big but that's the charm - very relaxing and not noisy. Always a warm welcome from the guys and they are patient while my kids decide what they want - usually a kids hot chocolate. My niece had the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup which she thoroughly enjoyed. Coffee is great and the chocolate cake was like my mums - delicious!

After being sick for 2 weeks - my first proper meal of creamy porridge with almonds and blueberries was divine....

Step off the Main Street in Banbridge near The Downshire Hotel and into this quaint little coffee shop with a conscience.

I dropped in to try the coffee and wasn't disappointed, Bailies coffee of various types on offer with a choice of V60, Aeropress or Espresso. Fresh, well prepared and knowledgable staff to boot.

If you like really good coffee, this is the place to go. It is top quality. I really enjoyed it. The granola (served with yoghurt, raspberries and honey) was also excellent. Would definitely recommend the Copper Lab.

Dropped in for a coffee on journey from Dublin to Belfast. First class coffee and service, would highly recommend.

My husband & I called yesterday morning for coffee & scones. The coffee was super & we enjoyed the experience very much.

Highly recommend to visit for the best coffee in Banbridge, easy access to and from the A1 carriageway either traveling from Dublin to Belfast or Belfast to Dublin. We're you can get breakfast,lunch or brunch, the staff are warm friendly, and nothing is a problem. Highly recommended than the multi-nationals at the Outlet, give them a visit you will not be disappointed you stopped in Banbridge.

Recently opened. Very friendly. Lovely cup of coffee. Some delicious pastries. Shall be back to try out more of the teas and other offerings. Beautifully decorated. The best of luck in your new business.

Great to have a coffee shop offering something different! By far the best coffee in the town and at a great price too! Staff are pleasant and I had a chat with the owner about how good the coffee was before ordering a second.

What a lovely little coffee stop! Family owned, fresh Fair Trade style coffees and little tummy tinglers like scones and porridge - this individualistic style coffee stop is a retreat on the high street.

No argument their coffee is great...I will try em all...but with a very popular coffee shop across the road and another soon to open...not sure.
