Stopped to look at church and a walk around this lovely little village. Found this delightful coffee shop, we had a lovely cream tea, and lovely chat with the lady that runs it

If you’re on the A30 and you fancy a really tasty lunch or even just a coffee, take a two minute detour to this lovely coffee shop! Gorgeous food, freshly baked cakes and a friendly atmosphere make it must - plus the village is beautiful and well worth a stroll if you have time.

First time at this cute Coffee shop! It didn’t disappoint! Food and service was excellent.. Great that we could take our little dog in too. We will certainly come again. Cakes are delicious, all home made by the owner. A lovely lady who is very caring and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Now at a beautiful coffee shop in Ukraine but ‘The Coffee Cup’ remains my number one. This is my latte here, good but not as good as Andries at ‘The Coffee Cup’.

Andie’s homemade croissants, fruitcakes and brownies at Altarnun are worth the drive and short detour off the A303. Don’t miss a visit to the 12th Century “Cathedral of the Moor” dedicated to Saint Nonna. Altarnun features in Daphne du Maurier’s novel “Jamaica Inn”, though obviously not to the degree that Frenchman’s Creek features in her novel of the same name.

Fantastic little cafe. This cafe is small and obviously popular with both locals and visitors. Friendly service. The filled croissant are fantastic.

What a delightful little cafe in the village. A lovely range of freshly prepared things to eat and drink and a very friendly owner who served us. Very glad we called in and will certainly be going again. We were spoilt for choice but chose the ploughman's croissant with really tasty cheese and thick cut ham, lettuce, tomato slices and chutney with some crisps. Another customer had Nanna's fruit cake and recommended it as well.

We'd just started our trek home from St. Ives to Essex and needed coffee. We were randomly very ntear to The Coffee Cup so popped by. A warm welcome from the owner who was really sweet, superb coffee, and the most incredible twice baked almond croissants! Highly recommended ☕🍰

Yum! Needed somewhere to recaffeinate on the way from Crediton to Falmouth and lucked out finding this cafe. The loaded Biscoff iced coffee, raspberry iced tea and homemade cherry bakewell blondie blew us away. Owner was lovely to chat to as well. We’ll be back 🤞

Best place for a stop off from the A30. Found this place purely by chance as we happened to be vaguely nearby when we needed a stop for our baby. The loaded iced coffee was nowhere near as sickly as it looks in the photo — you could still taste the beautifully-made coffee — and the iced tea was a triumph of refreshment. The owner was delightfully welcoming, the little village is charming, and we’re already planning to stop there every time we’re on our way past :)

Perfect spot for a stop off the A30! Lovely homemade cakes and fab coffee. Warm scones and Nan‘s fruit cake. Managed to resist a Kelly‘s ice cream. Free and spotless toilets in the village and interesting gallery next door. Take the to opportunity to visit the church and look at the carved pew ends.

Cute teeny cafe, which encourages wider chats amongst the cliente. MI'd love to see a few savoury items on the menu - am sure cornish pasties or a sausage roll would go down extremely well. Peeps will still have their cake. Win win.. 🤔🤔
