Brilliant facility in Coupar Angus. Self service for Coffee (including decaf), tray bakes & Eggs. I have also seen potatoes here (I think). The coffee is very good, the tray bakes are also delicious. Eggs are very good value too. I'm assuming they're free range, perhaps If anyone reads this from the coffee cabin, they can confirm? Anyway, every time we go through, we stop!

This is a self service cabin, no staff, locked boxes for food with coffee machine. I had coffee and cake which was great, easy to use system

Stopped for a coffee on way home and was pleasantly surprised. Young lad was there and explained how everything worked. It's self service but we were lucky to have him there... he's from local farm and owns it..to tells us about it...also very fresh eggs from the big vending machine inside (and some cakes). Well worth a visit if you're passing through Coupar Angus.

We often stop by to get some farm eggs and coffee. Great facility - contactless payments, all automated. Summer 2024 edition - iced tea/coffee is really nice!

All self-service but the quality of service was extremely good. Very straightforward systems, with a helpline that you can call in case of any emergency. They’re offering seriously good quality coffee for £2.50〜, this has been rare particularly as a decaf drinker! Also love the high quality eggs, worth travelling to pop in by, particularly their wonky ‘unloved’ eggs are good value for money😊

This was, by far, the most exciting gastronomic experience in many years. La Gavroche, Peat Inn and Midsummer House pale in the presence of such mastery. The chef is to be lauded, the sommelier at the top of his game too and the sheer professionalism of all their staff. The accommodation, albeit we were the only live -in guests, was the most comfortable, accompanied by a continental breakfast second to none. The croissants and bread were fresh from the local baker that morning. The location too,, outstanding. The cost may seem extravagant but what price can you put to such delight. I could go on and on but suffice to say my wife and I will remember this forever. Our thanks to you all

This would definitely be a five star from us in the past, however we are a little concerned now that the hotel has been taken over by a larger group of hotels. We have been coming here for over ten years, and the hotel and owners have always made our stay very special. They were a tough act to follow. We were a little concerned knowing they were planning to leave, so on our most recent visit enquired as to what the current situation was. The staff are all the same and so is the chef, so thats good, but there were quite a few little things missing that we had noticed. In addition, on one evening a course was not available ( even though the hotel was quiet ) plus three different wine choices were unavailable. This never happened with the previous owners. Sadly, when a group take over a hotel, it loses the personal touch, and we are concerned the bean counters will change it a bit more over the coming months. We will keep an eye on here for updates and other comments before considering our next visit, but sincerely hope it stays unique.
