We love this restaurant but have been so disappointed recently with the food. It’s all frozen / microwaveable and is massively over priced. You would expect so much more and we wish it lived up to its location and potential. Such a shame as we would visit more often if we felt we were getting a really special meal for the price we were paying!

Visited November 23. Family meal whilst staying in the local area. Lovely meal had by all, waitress very attentive, the quality of the food was good with GF options available which makes my dining experience much more pleasant. Will definitely be eating there again when next here. Highly recommended

A mixed bag. Waitresses nice enough but couldn’t get their tablet to work, quite blunt about it and then had to check a drinks order twice before still not bringing it correctly. Didn’t bring another drink ordered before remembering and bringing it after we had finished eating. Small menu which didn’t match the website. Wife ordered a steak medium which was much closer to well done - my main (lamb rump) was much better but overall not a great meal. Nice enough but wouldn’t rush back.

Extremely overrated, £8 for a sausage is really pushing it as is £5 for a side of french fries. £3.20 for a J2O It is very expensive just to boost their ego, especially as there are some very nice places to eat in the very near area.

As we approached the establishment, I was apprehensive about what I might find within, however, much to my delight, I was astonished to find a classy restaurant inside which gave off such a welcoming aroma and vibe, this put me at ease instantaneously. We were greeted by a friendly, smartly dressed host who sat us quickly, to my great shame I was not able to catch the name of our host, so I am not able to give him full credit. The tables were all neatly laid and from the windows you could see great views for miles. The menu was stacked full of intriguing foods which caught the eye, however, I eventually settled on the chicken burger, our waiter was most understanding in me asking to remove the cucumber pickles from the burger and our order was taken very quickly. The food arrived in very good time; the chicken burger was definitely a top 5 burgers of all time in my books so needless to say I was very pleased. Having discussed my friend's food with them at length as well I can confirm we all were caught off-guard by the continuous quality of the dishes served. Throughout this whole experience the staff remained friendly and catered to all our needs, which I was and am most appreciative of. i will actively look at recommending this classy institution to friends and family alike as it would be selfish to keep a gem like this to myself. Many thanks, Olly and the rest of TATS

We visited here last week and tried the new menu. We were promptly greeted by Ellie and Nikki who were very friendly and cheerful from the start We had the tapas to start which was INSANELY tasty. We had the calamari and the Albondigas meatballs with some halloumi this was so good and great sized portions. Forains we had the Cliffs burger which was delicious and a great size with homemade condiments which were amazing. Also the grills with the flatbread were to die for. Highly recommended this place. Dog and child friendly too.

Our first time in cliffs was one to remember. From the minute we stepped foot inside the restaurant we were greeted by a vibrant young lady named Ellie. We were given the luxury of selecting our own seating and being served promptly and politely. The modern music being played in the background added to the already harmonious environment. The interior design was very aesthetically pleasing with multiple modern ornaments and furniture sets. The wonderful floor to ceiling windows overlooked the beautiful valleys of our local countryside. Finally, the food was sublime. As a group we were simply taken away with the presentation and taste of our dishes. We would highly recommend their very own Cliffs Burger and Homemade Condiments. Take it from TATS, a conquest for 4 school boys set out to find the local treasures of North Wales, Cliffs is certainly an experience to remember. Considering this is the 20th restaurant/cafe we have visited in the past few months, we can safely say that Cliffs is destined for greatness!

Just had a beautiful meal, in such a lovely setting, have to say weather was beautiful so the views were so clear. The restaurant is clean nicely furnished. Staff very attentive. But the most important thing is the quality of the food. We shared a starter of Bruchetta followed but smoked salmon linguine and a rump steak. It was so fresh and tasty we couldn’t fault anything about this little gem.

This was our 1st evening out on our short break. Typical English summer weather, rain mixed with sun breaking through, made the changing views from this location beautiful. We could see the rain moving in & even lucky to have a very bright rainbow at 1 point. The restaurant was spacious but fairly quiet with 2 young girls serving. Very friendly & decent service. Food was also decent for the style we expected from this venue. Would return again if in the area.

The experience has been great from the time of booking. Our 3 grandchildren do not like to eat from the kids menu as it does not have the food they are used to eat. I phoned the restaurant to enquire if they would be prepared to do smaller version of adult meals for the children. They agreed but asked us to let them know in advance so they could sort them out on the day. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The children and the adults all ordered steaks and the chef cooked them to perfection. Everything on the plates was well seasoned and very tasty. To top it all, there is a fantastic view from the dining room. If we are in the area again, we will eat at the Cliffs!

I'm really sorry The Cliffs , this is my first ever review of a restaurant i have ever put on tripadvisor but i feel i must .Good points lovely view , nice staff tried their best.Bad points , staff not trained properly in a supposedly high end top quality locally sourced food restaurant , warm white wine served in warm cooler at £20 a bottle , staff have no idea of what's on the menu , management problem not staff .Menu does not describe the food that arrives at your table , grilled rump of lamb in a red wine jus comes in a yellow creamy i think it was a tarragon sauce i asked for this to be served pink , " sorry the chef said he can't serve it pink because he cooks it in the afternoon and finishes it under the grill at service " £20 , i should of walked out then really , i won't go on but ,,,,,,,, Chicken supreme in a creamy mushroom sauce , was what tasted and looked like barbecue sweet chicken with some sort of mushroom sauce, sirloin steak over cooked , dry as a bone . £125 , that was with 2 lemonades and a Guinness taken off for my muted complaint without the kids knowing ( don't dad, you're embarrassing ) before people say why didn't you complain, Listen , we are no food snobs , but when we pay that much money on a special treat , on holiday for the family , in an advertised top quality eatery , you expect quality food , there were only two tables eating , i can cook a lamb rump pink , a medium steak and a chicken supreme on Saturday night at home .

Sat outside under their fabulous oak framed gazebo.Heating and lighting was part way installed, ready for colder evenings. The three circular tables are a bit too large for small groups, I’m sure they could seat eight but certainly the six of current limits.Food was excellent, the three of us all ate different meals and all enjoyed them. My steak and peppercorn sauce was excellent.Service was very good despite the staff having to negotiate all the steps up and down. Indoor space was very nice but we preferred the outside. We live locally, not in one of their static caravans, but were made equally as welcome as if we were residents.

The service was good, the food not so much! The menu stated that the lamb rump was served with a jus , potatoes snd cabbage , it came covered in a bright yellow watery sauce , the chicken “supreme” hadn’t a creamy sauce more like a mushroom gravy , very dark and unappetising, there was no manager on duty and we had to ask after receiving our bill to have items taken off, not a great way to start a holiday

I do sympathise with the current COVID situation. It would however be ok to offer us a drink within 20 minutes of being seated and showing us the specials menu before taking our order. I’m also sure that bringing our plates with what we ordered would have also satisfied the current rules.A total lack of attention from what were otherwise polite waiting staff. I think the management have managed to create unreasonable panic where other restaurants in the uk are managing pretty at the moment. Really really disappointing and the caravan site is hugely overpriced.

We ate here twice whilst staying at the caravan park on which the restaurant is located. The first time was very good, a good selection on the menu, well cooked and reasonable prices which is why we decided to dine there again. However the second time was a totally different experience. The sunday lunch menu, which is served all day, is very limited. As a quiz and bingo night was on, the bar was very busy which meant very slow service in the restaurant. The food was bland, dry and over cooked. The chef rang the bell for service 4 times before anyone went to get our meals, maybe why they ended up being dry?Two waitresses did their best and we felt sorry for them, more staff were needed. So perhaps avoid when other events are on.

We visited here recently with some friends, who were staying on the caravan park. We’d already seen online that the menu was very different to that when we last visited, so we weren’t expecting the same level and quality of food this time.As before, the restaurant is in a spectacular setting, the decor is very nice and, once again we were the only diners there that evening! That’s pretty much where the similarities ended. The menu is pretty much pub grub now. Supposedly home cooked, but I think in some cases it’s a slight exaggeration. Meant of the items on the menu were unavailable, due to a delivery not turning up. How many times have I heard that excuse over the years in various establishments? The choice was pretty limited, but we managed to find something that would suit us all. At least we expected it to suit us all. Some of the dishes weren’t of a particularly good quality, and of poor execution. I don’t think a “chef” had been anywhere near them!My pate starter was served with ordinary sliced white bread toast and the pate wasn’t terribly exciting, and looked as though it had been sliced from a large supermarket slab of pate. My chilli main course had a very unpleasant sweet taste. I couldn’t eat it. I declined a dessert. However, when the waitress brought the sweet board across, hardly anything was available anyway. We ordered coffees, but when the waitress brought them over they were all cold. It turned out that the “chef” had gone home and turned the power in the kitchen off! They were replaced with hot ones, and we weren’t charged for them. Overall it wasn’t an enjoyable evening. The poor waitress spent much of her time apologising for the shortfalls. She did her best, but sadly there was too much wrong, for us to consider returning.

We had 4x Sunday lunches all came out well presented and hot , only downside for me was the veg. We only had carrots and red cabbage. I love veg on my roast so would of preferred a little more choice Also it stated on the kids menu they eat free but we were charged £3.95 per child didn’t realise until we got home. We we definitely return again in the future and hope to see more veggies :)

We went to The Cliffs for a Sunday dinner. I have celiacs disease so have to maintain a Gluren free diet. I fancied the Garlc Mushroom starter so asked if it was Gluten free, the answer I got was 'you'll probably be ok with it'! I asked for a drink with no ice, my drink came with ice. I ordered a Gluten free turkey dinner, that came with a yorkshire pudding on it. I sent it back and got another which the staff claimed was Gluten free. I don't really suffer with celiacs much but a lot of people do. The staff here either don't care or have had no training for people with dietary needs. There was a real lack of attention to anything really. The man who seemed to be in charge spent out entire meal talking loudly at another table, never asking us once if everything was ok. The food wasn't bad and was quite reasonably priced but at the risk of getting ill, I wouldn't go again. It is because of the Gluten problem that I have rated it poor, this could make somebody very ill.

On our arrival it was chucking it down with torrential hail stones and Craig came out to car with a big brolly and accompanied us to restaurant so we wouldn't get wet, how many places would you find that kind of service. The new menu is great, it was curry night on our visit so all the adults went for the curry, half chips and half rice, couldn't fault it, absolutely delicious. Fussy teenager wanted plain chicken and chips and again they delivered, even though it wasn't on the menu. Fabulous food, attentive staff and an absolutely amazing view. Well done to Craig and his team. We will definately be returning!

Had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at the Cliffs. Large portions of very nicely cooked fresh local produce. The views are beautiful and the service was very good and unrushed. Recommend the homemade bounty cheesecake . Everyone in our party of four enjoyed it and we'll definatley go back.

I can't believe I've lived in Abergele most of my life and never knew this place existed!! Craig squeezed us in as a late booking for Sunday lunch; the food was fantastic and the service exceptional.....I can't wait to come back and sample the weekday menu! Highlight of our stay at Tan Rallt had to be the amazing meal we had in the cliffs restaurant, The food was absolutely mouth watering and the service something i would have expected from a Michelin star top London restaurant,Just the right amount of time between courses and nice not to be pestered every few minutes with "is everything OK" like most mainstream restaurants.Every dish was cooked to perfection so their chef obviously knows his stuff.Amazing people, Beautiful site and the warmest hospitality ever experienced.

We were a group of 12 who visited the establishment for a family meal. When we first arrived we were nicely greeted, the staff were friendly and offered us drinks before taking us to out table. The evening started just as nicely as any other, until we ordered our food.Firstly, the menu wasn't very professional, just a few photocopied pieces of paper, which we didn't mind, however it was a prelude of what was to come with heinsight. We ordered starters and mains. And we waited. And waited some more. After around 30-40 minutes the starters arrived, they were OK, nothing much but nothing to complain about either. However, we then waited a long while for our mains to arrive, understandable as we were a larger than usual group, but even so it was getting a little too long. The manager came over without prompt to offer a round of drinks on the house so easily forgiven for the wait....so far. After around an hour the mains started to come out...and never quite finished. There were things missing from almost every meal, to name a few- lasagne sent with no garlic bread or dressing, all three mixed grills which had been ordered came out with only three out of six meat items, no egg, and only four chips on each plate alongside a spoonful of peas. None of the steaks were cooked to the specified liking, we'd ordered two medium and one very well done, they all came bleeding. And the sauces ordered arrived after the food that had arrived had been eaten. The service was very slow, by the time they'd brought all of the "meals" out the ones that came first were near cold...which brings me nicely to my next point... One of the meals ordered was a cold ploughmans salad, which the waitress kept promising was "literally being put on the plate as we speak" along with all the missing pieces, and every ten minute interval we were promised the same. The salad came 45 minutes later, needless to say it didn't get eaten as everyone had finished what food had been placed in front of them, which is when the chef managed to send the remainder of the mixed grills to the table, all thrown in the same bowl for us to share out amongst us as opposed to on individual side plates. We were all at different places in the table so we weren't going to pass food around the whole place, and by this point we'd all pretty much had enough.I cannot knock the waitress, she was lovely and pleasant throughout, we felt awful for her being the middle man as everything that had been wrong was simply down to the chefs. The manager kept apologising, gave a free round of drinks, brought a bottle of champagne over, and we had way more than half taken off the bill for it all, so top notch for customer service in terms of dealing with the situation and the manner we were dealt with. However I really do hope that they address the situation with kitchen staff. This place really has the potential to be a wonderful restaurant but hasn't quite reached cafe standards yet for the food that you do get on your plate. Lovely place to go for a nice drink with pleasant staff, but I'd try other establishments in nearby Abergele if it's a meal you're after.

Another lovely evening at The Cliffs. Thanks to Craig (mine host) Andy (chef) & his son in the kitchen. Food - lovely. Atmosphere - beautiful. Just a lovely evening chatting with local friends and the friendly residents of Tan Rallt Luxury Holiday Caravan Park. Well worth the visit to The Cliffs restaurant, which is open to the public and the park residents.

Well had the most lovely meal for mine and my partners anniversary the other night! Craig really went out of his way to make it special! Restaurant is beautifully decorated , very clean and stylish! Food was great, really good menu full of all the favourites, prices are excellent too! My minted lamb burger was exceptional , gorgeous home made chips and home made mint dressing! My partners lasagne couldn't be faulted with loads of chips , garlic bread and salad! Has to be sampled. I know it's a little out of the way but it's worth the journey, food is great and Craig really looks after you front of house! Well done, can't wait to go back

Visited for a catchup with a friend, what can I say! Warm welcome, quick service, stunning views and amazing burgers, had bacon cheeseburger with chips and it was so tasty, could tell the meat was locally produced and the portions were exceptional, no room for dessert but will hopefully try one on my next visit, a real hidden gem :)

Another visit to this lovely site and this brilliant restaurant. The food is always gorgeous and tasty. The staff are really friendly and always make you feel so welcome. We had two evening meals there and a Sunday Roast which was simply the best we have ever tasted. So you can imagine our shock and horror when we were told that the bar and restaurant is to knocked down to accomodate two more mobile homes. This is an absolute travesty and will be a huge loss to the site. In fact a site with zero facilities will not be top of my list in the future. Thanks to Mo and the team for doing such a brilliant job.

Went for lunch today for the first time. Lovely fresh food. I had the scampi which was nice and golden brown with homemade chips . Husband had the gammon with homemade chips. A joy to find chips cooked like that as a lot of places do frozen. Staff were attentive and friendly, checked we were enjoying our meal. Will definitely return.

Two of us went for breakfast and found it a bit disappointing mainly because the food wasn't particularly hot. Based on this experience I don't think we'll go again.
