We had a wonderful stay at The Cliff Hotel and Spa! The views of the ocean from the balcony were absolutely stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The hotel itself was blending modern comforts with a warm inviting atmosphere. The spa services were exceptional, offering a range of treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed especially the jacuzzi . We also had a walk around the cliff and took some amazing pictures. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. Overall, it was a fantastic getaway, and I would highly recommend The Cliff Hotel and Spa to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

Recently visited the Cliff hotel & spa, the reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. We booked the sea view room with balcony, the views from this room were breathtaking, room was very clean and tidy. The spa treatments we booked were amazing which also gave us 1 hour free use of the spa facilities and free complimentary drinks. For our evening meal we ate at the restaurant which accommodated our dietary requirements, the waitress who served us was lovely & chatty! Thank you for our beautiful stay, I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

This is only in reference to the spa, been coming here regularly for the last 3 years it’s been slowly getting worse and worse to the point now that I won’t return. The sauna and steam have always been a bit hit and miss but after the steam room broke down completely they replaced something and now it’s a complete waste of time if it works at all it doesn’t get hot and only seems to work for around 5 mins which is annoying because I still pay full price, on top of this they have removed the free fruit juice that used to be on offer and I’ve also always used two towels one for hygiene purposes while using the facilities and one for drying off after a shower however last week I was informed a second towel is now £3 this is the last straw for me, like I said slowly getting worse but more expensive at the same time. It’s a shame it’s being run like this because it’s such a nice place to be, anyway I will be using a different spa from now on.

Afternoon tea for my birthday. Know the Cliff very well so will get straight to the point. On ringing to book I found the receptionist quite abrupt. Mistake in email address when I rang back as had not received it as confirmation( maybe read back to customer to ensure correct address?) Second time I rang to add a third member and possibly two more . No issues at all. The day arrived and my daughter was delayed - no problem with that at all. When she did arrive she had bought a bottle of champagne (£66) as a present. The girls who served us were attentive, even ensuring my husband's nut free tea was placed away from the others ( he doesn't have anaphylaxis but I was impressed with their understanding ) We almost finished our tea, which was well presented and an amazing sausage roll btw! As we were all feeling quite warm we took our remaining champagne outside to the lower terrace. We hadn't been there long when we were approached by a member of staff who told us in no uncertain terms that we ' had a remaining amount on our voucher ( already calculated by me) and ' an outstanding balance on the bill, and could we go and pay for it' My daughter is a restaurant manager at a well known boutique hotel in Pembrokeshire.I could tell she was not impressed at this. I joked and said we wouldn't be running away but I wasn't exactly impressed either . . We weren't asked at our table to clear any bill , but I can understand why premises are concerned by the recent eat and go without paying scandal. I also witnessed how quickly customers were approached by staff to place an order - in some cases seconds after they had sat down ! We live locally and as I have many years of hospitality and catering experience have a huge respect for staff. People go to the Cliff for the surroundings, the hotel ambience and decor, knowing that prices will reflect the hotels standing . Im also aware that this is part of a small group of other businesses , and know the other establishments as well. I would agree with a previous review about staff training. Customer service is paramount, and staff member training should be considered a priority . This hasn't put us off returning, and enjoying what is probably the most stunning place in our area.

Only addressing the restaurant in this review. The establishment runs off it's picturesque location, and gives the image of being high quality but just isn't. The restaurant is standard food, presented nicely, and drinks at a premium price for a great location / views. I don't actually have a problem with any of this - the issue is with the staff/service. The cliff has a huge problem with staff retention and turnover, the amount of people there with experience is very limited and the large group of young service staff in the restaurant lack training and direction from senior staff - through no fault of their own. The table service is exceptionally poor, they lack confidence, charisma, conversation and the most basic service skills. The management need to take responsibility and work on developing these young people and thinking of their futures in the hospitality industry, the end goal to be employees they can be really proud of - and match the quality of the great sea views.

Beautiful hotel, nicely kept rooms and extraordinary views. Only let down... the food. Expensive for what it was, most dishes a weird mix of hot food on top of a base of cold food and most of the time, pretty meh. Seemed like the chef was trying too hard to be "cheffy" and it didn't really work out.

Spa was great, food was good but a bit over priced.. paid £80 for a standard double room. It was room 131 so was close to the lift and the sound was enjoying, plus was close to the store room and boiler room so was quite noisy. Shower was good, plenty of water pressure. View was non existent.

Nice location, the staff are attentive and pleasant, but I felt a bit rushed to eat up, pay and leave. The food was reasonable but nothing special. In fact I was never really made to feel welcome. I think I will return again just to make sure I'm not being unreasonably harsh.

Absolutely shocked, I had a gift from my daughter to have a spa weekend of which I booked. So looking forward to it after having a Mother's day lunch last week at The Cliff... This morning I woke up ill and I sent an email at 8am explaining I was poorly and I would postpone. I had a call at 3pm to ask where was I and I explained I cancelled at 8 am, I then have a call at 19.45pm to ask where was I ? Again I explained I was poorly and that I sent an email of which the receptionist replied, well the booking is not refundable or move to another day. No customer service, just advised " did you read the terms and conditions" . I am absolutely shocked, to think I was going to book my wedding there also ! Forget it 🥺 Reply: I have got quite a few friends you have let down Cliff Hotel, shame on you to treat anyone like this let alone locals !

Had a sunday roast, ideal if your hungry as it's a carvery with a good choice of vegetables and nice gravy, but, the Yorkshire pudding was not nice, it tasted like it was cooked with old oil and the meat was a little dry but the gravy sorted that. Overall good value especially if your hungry.

Came for Sunday lunch on 3rd November and the food and service was outstanding. We had 3 courses and each course was lovely. The beef and salmon were perfectly cooked and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The atmosphere was great and we’re looking forward to our next visit very very soon.

We went for Sunday lunch. There was Pork loin or Beef to choose from. We chose pork and it was lovely. There were 7 side vegetables, all beautifully cooked also Apple sauce and gravy. For desert there was a large choice. I chose the home made meringues with summer fruits and whipped cream. The meringues were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. They were beautiful as they were not too sweet and the fruit and cream complemented the meringues very well. My husband chose the home made apple flan with ice cream and that was also very much enjoyed. The staff are very welcoming and we will certainly be back. Thank you.
