Love this place! fantastic food, attentive and friendly staff. Great for Families and individuals alike. Decor is great, ambience is amazing. Troy was very professional abd fridndly.

We had a delicious evening meal at the Cliff over the recent bank holiday on a jazz night with excellent service from Troy.

Visited with a large group for a friends birthday. It's a little out of the way, location wise. But the food and service made up for this. Recommend booking in advance to be sure you get a table.

Cat was an excellent waitress and very friendly. She knew the menu well and was able to advise us on certain dishes. We had the monkfish and the halloumi and chips. Both were cooked perfectly and were delicious. We shall be back.

Came in for my Grandmothers birthday, it was great our server summer was very helpful with an error with a meal and got it fixed straight away. The staff also brought the cake out of a plate with a lovely Birthday message on it - making it a very special experience.

Below average, £35 sirlion was chewy, staff are curt and far from friendly. Decor lovely. Menu is dated for what they are asking.

We went for lunch and from start to finish the service was impeccable. Harry was so welcoming and conscientious, he definitely enhanced our visit. The food was lovely, served quickly too! The setting was just lovely, felt like a real destination. Would definitely go again.

Lovely meal for my daughter's birthday. Served by Amy who was excellent - very friendly and professional (I would expect no less from a Canadian). I had the lamb shank and it was fantastic. Cooked to perfection and nicely presented. All of our meals were lovely so, all in all, a great evening and would highly recommend. Many thanks.

We were looked after very well by Eleanor, thank you! The menu is slightly different, food was excellent. We think the live music is a mistake & detracts from rather than enhances the atmosphere.

Now I'm not biased as it's our local. I do really enjoy having a drink and food here. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. I haven't eaten here a lot but the food I have had has been fantastic. Love the atmosphere inside and out (when the sun is shining)

It was the best wedding breakfast I have ever had. The food was outstanding. The day was all we could ask for.

Food was delicious, service a little on the slow side, waited 15 minutes after our reservation to be seated and had to leave the table to chase my bill. Staff very friendly however and live music a bonus

Very good Pub restaurant in Canford Cliffs

Great atmosphere helped by the staff and high end decorations. Amazing food and good choice of drinks. Feels upmarket, always enjoyable.

A group of friends and I went in for there bottomless bubbles event. we were quiet excited as we have had many good experiences in the Cliff. However, this time it was awful. They never informed us that the time started as soon as we sat down at the table at end of our experience. After 15 minutes wait for someone to come over an take our drink order. We had to flag someone down. not a great start for sure. 12 minutes after flagging someone down our first drink finally arrived (now wasting 30 minutes of our experience) One waitress offered to bring a couple of bottles of prosecco due to the size of our party, but then it never arrived just a glass each. Again once our food arrived it was just dumped in front of us and never asked if we needed anything else. But this time we had to flag someone down 3 times just to get ketchup/mayo. We were never offered water for the table. a passionfruit martini that is served with a shot of prosecco arrived half full. the staff were not interested in serving, let alone even being there. The delays and service was completely disgusting. I would suggest not to offer a bottomless bubbles experience if you can accommodate the experience for your customers. Plus get staff that are willing to provide good service and actually want to be there instead of looking miserable and making the experience unbearable. i do hope you take this on board and provide necessary training to accommodate events and general service in the future. I can be truthful to say I have not returned since

We always enjoy our visits to the Cliff, and I for one like trying something different. Our Sunday visit proved to be quite interesting. If you haven't tried the octopus starter, you should! It looks great, no doubting what you are eating and it tasted great. The Lamb Shank wasn't available, replaced by Venison Shank, being a Scot that was OK by me. It looked a bit dry and resembled a Polynesian war club, but tasted good, maybe rethink visual. The Sunday roasts were wonderful, no complaints from family. Service, as usual, was excellent. We shall always visit when in Bournemouth.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the best Sunday lunch we have ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient, making the entire experience delightful. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. You won't be disappointed!

Another fabulous meal in our favourite local pub. We had the T-bone steak and the lamb shank, both were excellent 😋 The friendly staff here are great too, Katie always makes us feel welcome and appreciated 😃 Keep doing what you’re doing guys, it’s great!

We booked for Easter Sunday lunch for 1.30pm, so right in the middle of the lunch time rush, service was brisk, polite, and we were shown to a table quickly where a waitress was with us within minutes. We chose a bottle of Saunignon Blanc, two starters, and the shared three meat roast with all the trimmings ..... Starters of shitake mushrooms with cheese and the truly delicious pate with fig jam, quite small portions but very good in taste and presentation, followed by the roast for two which comprised of Chicken, Pork fillet, and wonderfully cooked beef with little fat or waste if any. For a roast of this quality on a very busy day with service at full tilt I don't doubt, it was very good indeed, maybe could have been a little hotter for my liking but a small gripe from I'm guessing a very busy pass ....... This wasnt a cheap Sunday roast me by any means, but you go to Toby Carvery or Weatherspoons for that, but I feel it lived up to expectations and the meats on offer were plentiful and flavoursome. Drinks at the bar were expensive, a pint of guiness and a single gin and tonic £15.80 ..... is it a pub too ? or a restaurent with a bar? I begrudge these prices anywhere and wouldn't choose to visit for just drinking, would cost you a fortune to spend the night at this bar ! Overall very nice and a very pleasant lunch for two with everything we wanted for under £100.00 .... not including the tip or bar drinks.

Absolutely lovely place to eat, the food is always amazing and presented beautifully. This evening I took my parents for a treat and we enjoyed the seabass and the Hake special - both were delicious. For dessert we had the sticky toffee and rum pudding as well as the homemade brownie and neither disappointed!

All round an excellent place to eat and drink. Food was excellent. The pub itself it very nice and has a cosy atmosphere. It's a bit pricey but to be expected on canford cliffs the outside garden bit is huge and when the sunshine is out it's a good place to drink. Ideal for somewhere to take your partner on a date or special occasion.

CAT gave us a very warm, friendly welcome, as do all the team. Nothing was too much trouble. Cat sorted out our issue of my husbands plate of food not being completely hot. Great experience! We came for Sunday lunch and had a full 3 courses, the food was great with a nice range of options (the apple tart for dessert was a highlight!). The drinks were also very good, we both had very nice mocktails! The staff, especially our waiter Ross, were all lovely, attentive and super helpful with questions on the menu. Good value for money for the amount and quality of the food. Lovely decor as well! All round a great experience, we will be back!

I came in for a lunch on Tuesday and me and my friend ordered the super green salad with chicken which was suggested to us by our lovely waitress Summer who gave great recommendations and was very attentive. It was a great salad and perfect for the warmer weather!

It was our first time trying The Cliff, we decided as some family are down here with us we’d give it a go. It was fantastic, they service and food was amazing!! The setting and decor is just right and really complimented the great menu. We will be back for sure.

Lovely decor with good area outside. Service is acceptable but inexperience shows, food is good but overpriced and bar staff need training on which measure to use. I was given a 25ml measure of martini rosso, vermouth in the UK is served as 50ml measure!

Shame you did not prompt fir scores based on price. The fiid and wine were excellent, but I feel conned into paying £7.50 for a pint of Camden Pale ale. If the price was on the menu then I would not have ordered it. PS, they often state that they are in Sandbanks, which is about as true as a Ryanair destination airport being anywhere close to their stated city.

An evening dinner for two. Everything was nice enough - from the staff to the food. The food came out just warm enough and whilst tasty was not anything special. The service was friendly. On balance, it is a bit expensive for what it is. That may differ on a nice day when you can sit outside.

We really enjoyed our lunch at The Cliff. It was for our daughter’s 21st birthday and we also had two babies with us, one with very specific dietary needs. The service was exemplary, meals arrived in good time and all together and people came over to check that we were okay regularly but not annoyingly. We had Deanna serving us. There was a card left for our birthday girl which was a sweet touch and they adapted her dessert to say happy birthday. The icing on the cake for me was when I started walking to the loos with a baby in my arms and one of the staff came over to say they were grabbing the key to the baby change room for me. I didn’t even have to ask. So attentive food was really tasty and well presented. Overall a great experience.

Came here for my husband's birthday,arrived at table to find a birthday card,which was a lovely touch. Waitress was lovely, always smiling, very knowledgeable about the menu, even offered me an alternative when I wasn't keen on my chosen main meal. All in all a lovely experience.

We went on a Thursday night, so busy but not buzzing. We eat here regularly so food is good but no surprises, service was excellent and Amy helped us with our order.

I thought I’d booked at table for Saturday night (didn’t check to see if I got a booking confirmation and it hadn’t gone through). I accept that was my fault. However, we were told we could sit in the bar. There were tables but they hadn’t been cleared so I cleared the glasses off and then asked for a cloth to clean it. The girl behind the bar gave me a tea towel which didn’t work but I found a spray bottle and cloth on a side so used that. It was busy but the table next to us didn’t get cleared while we were there and it was free for over an hour. It was just as you walk in the door so didn’t look good for first impressions. I went to the bar to order as we were told to do that if you sat in the bar-which is fine. I ordered starters and mains, one starter turned up alarmingly fast and the other never showed. We had croquettes and burgers. The food was fine-nothing special and almost just seemed like frozen burgers. Food arrived and we had to ask for cutlery. When I went to ask about the other starter and to see the bill they told me I hadn’t ordered them. (I know I did order them). I’ve worked in hospitality and if a customer said that, I would’ve just made sure I got them sent out to them. Anyway we weren’t charged for them, I thought I might have been but then realised it was £7.60 for a pint of neck oil!! I thought that was crazy, I know neck oil is expensive but £7.60!! I’ve been to the cliff a lot of times and loved it but this experience has put me off. It’s massively overpriced for what it is. I understand that they were busy but the service and the good as poor for the price. I hope this was a one off but expect they are busy enough that they just don’t care at the moment.

Lovely food, lovely staff, lovely vibe. We came for the Valentines 3 Course Menu and the value for money was really good I’d say. Originally we had a lovely attentive member of staff with long blonde hair (I think she was called Jess) and can’t fault her. The only let down was later in the evening, there was another waitress who was loudly telling everyone around us her life story and showing pics on her phone. There were people waiting to order on other tables whilst she was telling long stories and even saying to other tables “hang on whilst I finish my story on this other table”. When our payment was ready to be taken she told my partner to add things up on his phone because she wasn’t sure on the prices on the bill which is fair enough but I felt could’ve been handled better. Soured the experience ever so slightly but good visit overall.

Great food and service as usual. However, I wish they’d pay the same attention to the playlist as they do to the decor. Mixture of high energy, EDM and dance music. Just doesn’t work with the atmosphere.
