Went for a quick lunch as seen it a few times but never tried it. The staff were excellent, very friendly. Tried a couple of coolers as we weren't sure what they were. Basically slushies but were very weak and overpriced at 3.95 each. My burger was a bit hit and miss - the actual burger was lovely, very tasty but the brioche bun was too small and the pulled pork was quite dry. Not a large portion of chips and generally I thought it was slightly overpriced for the amount you got. The chicken wrap we got as well was fine. So overall not bad but could be better.

We came here after riding the steam train from Bury and were looking for somewhere to eat… This place did not disappoint! Delicious food that was clearly cooked fresh my partner said the little brownie that came with the hot chocolate was incredible and melt in the mouth. If it wasn’t so out of the way for us, we’d be in this place every week! Lovely friendly staff too, these guys clearly love working here as much as we enjoyed being here.

I’ve been wanting to try chubby duck for quite a while now. And all I can say is why I have not been sooner. From walking in through the door I was shown a table, was asked what drink I would like and offered a menu. The menu is lovely from toasties to salt and pepper onion ring to cheese and onion pie, plus soooo much more. I opted for the toastie. My coffee came with a bite size piece of chocolate brownie, how cute! Toastie came with side salad and crisps. It was delicious and I had an empty plate. Will definitely go back again. Shantel the kitchen manager was especially helpful. Definitely pay this place if you haven’t already. It’s also stunning inside and nice and warm. Who wants to eat in the cold! I’ll definitely be going back very soon. Thanks guys for a wonderful experience ❤️

A lovely establishment in all respects. Went there with a couple of friends and the staff were really really welcoming. Such a lovely atmosphere there - perfect if your having a catch up with friends. The menu is great and the food is even better! Staff were really tentative and the chefs did an incredible job. Could not fault this place one bit. Will be back again really soon!

Excellent service from friendly fun staff. Quality and quality of food is bang on, their signature dishes are definitely worth trying, I’m referring to their full breakfast, salt and pepper chicken and especially the pulled pork burger. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

Absolutely taking the Michael. £1.95 for an extra shot of coffee, so £4.90 in total for a black Americano!

The Chubby Duck is a great place to come for a brew. They do alternate milks if you're not able to have Dairy... Great atmosphere and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. I find and found it a very relaxing place to be able to come on my own, sit and chill. But I have also been as part of a group and the food is fantastic, well presented and tastes amazing!!!...They have plenty to choose from, from the menu. The place is clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend The Chubby Duck somewhere to come either on your own or with friends/family...so come on!!... What you waiting for, come down and give it a try....you won't be disappointed!!

"Our Number One Place for Breakfast" Found by accident and being 120 yds from where we used to live, 17 yrs ago. The Chubby Duck uses mostly AIR-FRIED food. All is Locally sourced and is Excellent Value for money. A wide variety of food is available, for a quick snack or something a bit more substantial. My wife and I, also our friends meet here on a regular basis. It is close to the 2East Lancashire Railway" Station at Rawtenstall. So Good we cannot keep away.

I'm sorry to say but this was one of the worst expensive Breakfast ive ever had. The beans very cold , egg very over coked and a bit chared, The place was nice enough but unfortunately the food let it down .Sorry to say I won't be going again. In my estimation I would give it possibly 3 out of 10. Which is a shame because I was really looking forward to try there.

Stopped in here for breakfast after hitting the Thrive gym. A modern, new cafe set within a gym (you don’t need to be a member of the gym to come to the cafe). Seems popular with business meetings with people working on their laptops. We ordered two teas, a Full English breakfast and Eggs Benedict. £20. A nice selection of options (see photos) with a protein shake costing £3. We were impressed with the speed and friendly service. Food was tasty with quality meats used. 4 ⭐️ rather than 5 ⭐️ due to no option on there being a ‘lean’ breakfast. High protein but no fat etc. It is located in a gym after all. My wife fancied the vegetarian breakfast but it was the full English with no meat. A veggie sausage or two wouldn’t go a miss. Also, 50p extra for a tiny shot of oat milk with a hot drink did seem a little steep for me. Nonetheless, we’ll be back and would recommend.

Although it is rumoured to be closed for redecoration many locals believe it will not re-open as planned. This is a shame as they served consistently good food.

Musical comedy night. Great entertainment from Pete, Brian and Bob. Sadly not all those drinking could converse below a bellow. Probably Man U fans and more to be pitted than chastised. The Lion is one of only 2 pubs in the valley and well worth visiting. Well done for keeping music live. Sadly the company owning the premises ditched mine host. Things went rapidly downhill and it closed for several months. Now August 24, open welcoming and doesn't smell of wet dog. Please call in, Blond Witch a must.

Popped in here as other places busy. Very surprised at both the quality of the breakfast, the flexibility with substitutions (I swapped tomatoes for fried bread) and the value. One really nice touch was to be offered marmalade or jam for my leftover toast. Food was piping hot, cooked well and high quality. Can’t fault this place. I’ll be back.
