It was the first time yesterday that I went to get something to eat, for my colleague+friend, who isn't well and lives not far from this great place, and myself. I work mainly long night shifts and I kept the food (bought yesterday afternoon) and just ate it now (01:35). Even though I reheated it in the microwave, it was the absolute best fish and chips supper I have ever had and I have lived in Northern Ireland for 8 years and lived in different places in England. Definitely going to get food there again, even though I don't live in Lisburn, but near Banbridge. Service was excellent 👌. Thank you for making my 'night lunch' so extremely scrumptious ❤️ Will definitely recommend you!!!

Good selection of food to choose from, can be quite busy at times making wait time a bit longer but well worth it. Reasonably priced food and meal deals. Kids meals are a decent size as are food portions.

I recently ordered some food platters for my son's birthday party. The staff were extremely helpful when ordering and deciding on options. We went for the mini slider burgers, battered chicken goujons and chips, which went down a treat with the kids and adults alike! The food was perfect and I would definitely recommend!

As the delivery took so long the food had gone soggy which was disappointing. The chicken stack looked nothing like the picture, it was pathetic for the price. £30 for a plate of soggy food 😔

Food was not good in my opinion - half of the food was not eaten. But the worst part was the wait. Yes I know food is cooked to order but the time that it took was ridiculous. Can’t even say they were overly busy so really no obvious reason for the wait. Food was definitely not worth the wait. Think this is one place I won’t be going back to.

We have used Chipped Potatoe over the last 3 years or so. Food and service was initially 1st class but the last year or so has been very hit and miss.. We would get the Southern fried Chicken burgers with chips where the chicken was a full succulent breast covered in a golden crispy and delicious coating. We phoned an order in a few weeks ago and were kept on the phone for ages then the call was cancelled. We then drove down to get our food and very dissapointed when we got home. The chicken burger had reduced greatly on size, the "slice" of chicken was 4mm thick in a very dark brown over cooked coating and the chips were not fresh. We decided to try it again this week just in case it was a one of bad day but it was just as poor again. Given the much higher prices which is happening everywhere, the quality and value is simply not worth it. We have gone back to Mr. Tom's as they are consistently good quality and value..... The staff in Chipped Potatoe have always been very good but the quality of food has fallen too far for us. Dissapointed to say the least..

The staff are very pleasant and friendly and even done me a favour.

Actual gluten free chippies are rare for coeliac’s but this place was the exception. Ordered burger, chips, chicken strips and onion rings all gluten free. They all came clearly labelled and cooked fresh. They also had gluten free pepper sauce! Unheard of. Will absolutely be going back.

Was really impressed with this chip shop. I haven't eaten in a chip shop since being diagnosed with coeliac over 4 years ago but after hearing about it and contacting them to see if it was safe for me they provided me with all the reassurances needed to give it a go. When I went to the shop to order the girl at the counter was very knowledgeable about gluten free and the need for things to be prepared separately. The food was also excellent both for me and my non-gluten free family. Delighted to have found this place!

Has to be the slowest chip shop I Lisburn ordered for collection as i knew it had a rep for being slow as tool over 40mins fir a chop butty last time I got , ordered a cod suppers told be ready in 20 mins over 30 mins later still wasn't ready . Note to owner you really need to quicken up ! Give yourself plenty of time when coming here .

Me and my partner went to go for a chippy on the long stone road but it was closed. The next nearby chippy was chipped potato which we had never been to but decided to try as we were hungry. The girls behind the counter were very pleasant but the food.. the food was unbelievable! I know it’s just a chippy but it’s the best one in Lisburn, I moved to lisburn 3 years ago and tried a few chippies but have hated everyone. The chipped potato chips are phenomenal so incredibly crispy. It’s been about two weeks since our visit but our mouths still water at the thought of their food. Hopefully it wasn’t a one time expirence as we plan to eat from here again and hope the food is just as great.

I have got both deliveries and take outs from The Chipped Potato, with both services offering amazing customer service weather it be in person or over the phone. The food is great quality with plenty of options present, including a fantastic gluten free menu something a lot of other take out restaurants don’t offer! Chipped Potatoe is my favourite chippy in Lisburn and I would recommend it to everyone !!

Best Chippy in Lisburn! Everything is made to order, so while you will wait a bit longer for your order, everything is SO fresh and tasty. The staff are also really friendly too. Can highly recommend the Pastie or Fish Supper and their shop made curry is beaut!

Very expensive paid £42 and by time we got home only live in Thaxton food was cold also this is the second time we didn’t get the drinks with the kids meal.

Burger was really tasty good portions and great deal for kids for an additional 1 pound upgrade to milkshake when I ordered they quoted on ehour for prep and delivery arrived perfectly on time

The chips are nice, but I wouldn't eat anything else out of it. However, the app online works very well and delivery came at a good time.

This is my second visit to this chippy I am always on the lookout for good gluten free fish and chips and I have finally found it. Very clean shop with friendly and helpful staff they have everything in place for the virus which is disrupting everywhere at present. My wife who is not on a gluten free diet also loves the food. Anyone on a gluten free diet please do not hesitate to check this chippy out

Got told I had to wait outside yet i was ordering food the girl told me only 2 people in a one time there was some ginger kid around 14 sitting in the corner had already ordered why was he told not to wait outside? Use should change you’re name to the joke potatoe because you’re staff haven’t got a clue about health and safety.

Some frizzy haired girl served me and wouldn't stop talking. And I don't mean making conversation. I mean just shouting the place down. Also found a hair in my chips and half the food came cold. Very unprofessional and the staff look very unhappy.

My husband and I called in here one Sunday lunchtime not expecting too much. The menu was one of the best I've seen In a chippy and made it hard to choose what to have. could have ordered loads of stuff lol. Ended up going for a chicken burger which was gorgeous and cooked perfectly and my husband had the Sliced southern chicken supper and it was lovely too. will definitely be back soon. Took about 15 mins or so but we were the only people in the shop and it was obviously cooked fresh

Always greeted with a smile when you go into the Chipped potato. Food does take a bit of time but that is only because every thing is cooked fresh to order. If you are in a hurry just ring and place your order ahead. Good choice on the menu and provide gluten free products e.g gluten free batter on their fish. Lots of free parking outside the door.

Lovely food. Only downside is that the average waiting time usually is 20-30 mins and really does let it down a bit. But the food is amazing and really is worth the money.

I visited this carry out for a takeaway meal , Should have went elsewhere ordered a burger (WITHOUT RELISH) the person who took the order was more interested in talking to her mates and fellow workers than my order details , When i got home and opened the burger it had guess what (RELISH) which has soaked into the bun and made it a soggy mess , I would not go back to this takeaway unless the staff are trained to listen to the customers and not be talking about what they will be doing at the weekend , Very poor service and very poor staff .

It says reinventing fish n chips. To be fair in what way. Fish n chips are fish and chips this place in no way stands out from Any other chippy. Don't get me wrong the place is nice but I would hardly say it's wow and inavitive. Don't let this review sway you from driving on past stop by and judge for yourself

Passing by we nipped in for a snack. We both had 4oz steak burgers. They were fine iif a little small when cooked. Both were tasty. At 2.80 price was average. Menu is usual chippy but unadventurous. Its ok but not special.

Stopped with Daughter to grab something quickly on the way home. Excellent Chip shop , fantastic range , not the usual . Someone has put a lot of thought into their take on traditional chip shop dishes . You can't go wrong . Great food.

Ok, decided, to give another review of the chipped potato, with the long summer months ahead, I don't always fancy cooking, so my son wanted chip shop food as a treat for lunch, after not giving a good review last time, I'm happy to say that we were well pleased with the food in its entirety, lovely and tasty and not a pick left . Staff were happy and pleasant, and we're happy to say we will use your establishment again. Keep up the good work! Many thanks

I am not one for eating a lot of fish and chips due to trying to keep my weight down but from time to time I call to get a fish for my dad who lives close by and some food for my family and I have to be honest I have never been disappointed with anything thing I have got. It's not easy running a business so keep up the good work

A quick review of the chipped potato, second time in there, as the first visit I wasn't impressed and thought due to demand I'd hit better next time, well it wasn't much better, not I'm not hard to please, but it's basic, there are a lot off other chip shops I would go to before here again, portions of chips aren't that great, and quality of the potato they were using as well , chips with the blacken pits in it , not a good advertisement for there name sake. Most people when ordering fish can't tell the difference between cod and whiting, I'd also got a chicken burger for my son again portion of chicken in the batter wasn't great, , battered sausages were nice, for the price..feel unsatisfactory,I I would've gotten more for my money if I'd have visited Iceland and if it myself. Will I go back for a third visit? Well what'd you think .. (NO)

I went to this chippy just to try it out not expecting much as most chippys don't appeal to me as their chips are greasy and heavy in your stomach. The Chipped Potatos chips are amazing without exaggerating I have never had chips like it from a chip shop. I also got breaded chicken goujons and I would go as far to say they were close to restaurant quality. Not only is the food fantastic but the staff are friendly and they cant do enough for you! I will definitely be back to the chipped potato in future they really have reinvented the chip shop cliche and I hope they continue to keep their quality at this high standard, lisburn has needed a decent fish and chip shop for a long time

I was excited when this chippy opened near my house. Whoever is in charge of marketing the business, does a fantastic job.The staff are very friendly and helpful and the place itself is spotless.I've been twice now, ordering a fish supper and then a chicken burger/chips and I am disappointed to say it was average at best. The ingredients to make a fantastic business are there but the food is just okay.For me, the Sunflower by Tesco is twice as good. The chips taste as if the oil hadn't been changed in a long while, on both occasions. Hopefully in time the food will improve as the location, service and prices are great!
