i walked in and asked for a small doner, he said he doesnt have any lamb so he can only give me chicken and i said alright. I checked the prices behind the counter and it was £9 or £9.5 for chicken doner, I assumed it would be more expensive to eat in but I did not see £21 coming in my way for chicken doner and a can of 7up! absolutely a rip off no wonder why his shop is always empty. Would never recommend to anyone nor visit again. Rip off rip off rip off

The food was absolutely sublime. That lamb really was spot on. The bread and hummus starter was a nice touch, too - I didn't order it specifically. I made the mistake of asking for more bread and hummus whilst eating my main course - I was absolutely stuffed afterwards! Nice cold beer, too. I'd definitely revisit. I enjoyed the Turkish pop music, too - a nice touch.

I visited this restaurant and ordered a kebab roll, but I was pressured into getting meat and chips instead saying it is better than kebab roll. The food was of very poor quality and didn’t taste good at all. To make matters worse, I was charged £18.50 for a small portion of meat and chips and a can of Coke—£15.50 for the food and £3 for the drink. This is extremely overpriced, and the customer service was terrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered a large lamb shish from here for £15. The portion size was definitely a large. There must have been at least 10 lamb pieces. I would order again

Absolutely rubbish here. The kebab I had was soooooooo dry and VERY expensive.... £50 for two meals that were not even nice. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!

Tiny portion of chips for £3.90. Nothing special. You could get double that amount at the fish and chip shop accross the road

Went with kids and family, so there was a large group of us. Food wasn't unpleasant, but wasn't fresh tasting or succulent. Meat was on the salty side and the bread, that was served with houmous, was pitta bread defrosted and toasted on the hot plate - didn't enjoy that. Portions were generous, but still would say the prices were extortionate. A chicken burger, simply defrosted, was £9 mark and this was with no chips. Probably wouldn't go again- flat experience. If you've been to a Gokuyuzu it's nothing like that dining experience or taste. Probably wouldn't visit again.

Been coming here for years.. a large chicken shish and lamb kofte mix with chips and salad..will cheer anyone up after a bad day..the softest chicken shish I think I've ever eaten... yummy..

Terrible service blend food. They wont even serve ketchup. They are terrible rude and when confronted they say they are just joking. So do go there if you are hungry for jokes.

Received leaflet claiming they are winners of the British Awards Kebab in London. I checked this on the British awards best kebabs/takeaway website and not true they did not win this award. I think it’s despicable that you would claim to be winners of a trophy that you clearly are not worthy off and if you lie about this then your food must be appalling! I will report to advertising standards agency if your leaflet with false claims comes through my letterbox again!

BEWARE, they only take cash. HOWEVER, if you don't have cash and they let you pay by card, they charge you £5.00 for the privilege...Shame really the food was good. Would I go back. SADLY 👎 not

Had a great meal at The Charcoal Grill. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service very friendly and attentive and the food was fresh and delicious! Had a falafel wrap with hummus and everything was highly enjoyable. Highly recommend

Food isn't fresh, they only take cash and don't make receipts, quality of food is awful. Is not even super cheap to justify how awful. There's many options around to waste your money here. Very disappointed... I still wondering how do they still open as a business.

Everytime I go there the service is lovely and the food is just as good. Fast and made with what I assume to be a ton of love :’) my FAVOURITE place to get a chicken donner wrap (with burger sauce and abit of chilly). The portion sizes are perfect and they’re very generous with sauce if you request more, unlike some other shops! Love love love them and will always be going back ❤️

Best turkish in the area and open till late.

I would not recommend the food is absolutely disgusting. Does not taste fresh how a kebab should be the chips were reheated and the salad was gone of. The staff are so rude and can’t even speak English properly. I would not even feed my dog there food. Don’t waste your money on absolute rubbish.

Hands down one of the cleanest and welcoming food spots I've eaten in... the food is great and very reasonably priced. Its a all round good spot

Local kebab place, set up to look like a restaurant but primarily operating as a takeaway. Food is average, not bad at all but nothing special, however, is priced to be expensive. £8.95 for a small mixed meat and chips, for example, with no salad (an extra £4 for the privilege!)

The owner is a Turkish man. He said he makes the doner kebab differently from all the other people here in London. So I had to try. I ordered doner kebab and salad, with a cup of coffee. It was served, really quickly. I had to leave immediately, as someone was waiting for me. I asked the guy to keep my food aside and that I will come back in 30 minutes and eat in. He agreed. When I came back, my food was served again. Just that he forgot about my coffee, it was cold. I have not had any kebab with so much relish. Fresh salad on the plate. I could eat that kebab everyday. I don't know much about kebabs but yes, the owner is right. He has put in hard work to make it delicious. Do go and try the kebab, thank me later. Oh yeah, the sitting area is also nice and cosy. Lots of tables to sit inside and enjoy the lovely kebab.

Great lamb doner, chilli sauce is possibly the best I have ever had.

My daughter and I wanted to eat Turkish food on the last night before lockdown. We were out all day shopping and left things very late. We went to three different Turkish restaurants that refused us to sit down because of the cut off time. Our last try was a place that we had never tried before. They were very welcoming and seated us very quickly, took our order and had our food ready in no time. The meal was very tasty with large portions, cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. We were the last customers of the night. We really appreciated the great food and hospitality at such a grim time in our country. We were very pleased that fate took us there.

Excellent customer service and the chicken shish is simply amazing and of good portion. The humus starter is absolutely scrummy as well if you get the lunch deal. Great place for a late lunch/early dinner date meal.

Late night visit which involved a chicken doner meat & chips which was probably one of my worst choices in life.....meat was awful & poorly cooked, did not finish it & the cost was an insult to the injury....

Been going here for a couple of decades now. Always friendly, whether you're famished after work or turn up drunk at 2 am. Food is always good and they're happy to adapt to your tastes.

Just opposite Southgate exit, this place does both take away and eat in. Good food, not the best Turkish style I had in London. I had their house speciality, and I really enjoyed it, though the tomato sauce with which it was served released a bit too water on the side. Nice service, with the lady looking after me as you would expect from a proper restaurant. Old fashioned toilets with no paper.

I've been going to this place on and off for nearly 3 years since I moved to Winchmore Hill. It's been my go to place for a quick greasy tasty kebab. I've had one or two minor negative experiences but overall a decent place. I'm afraid after this evening's experience I will likely never return. Ordered a takeaway lamb doner and the guy turned on only one of the 4 heating bars on the spit. I was going to ask him if he was going to turn on all 4 to cook or at least heat up the meat sufficiently but i gave him the benefit of the doubt as I generally don't like to tell people their jobs. I waited for 3 or 4 mins as only a small part of the meat was heated. The kebab was served. The meat unsurprisingly was cold. I was feeling ill and dashing for the bathroom within 15 minutes of eating it. This was an acute and immediate reaction to eating their food. Not sure if they're trying to save a few pennies by not heating their food properly but there simply is no excuse for making your punters ill. They get 2 stars due to their past performance but I can't justify going back there again. As a small business owner myself I am reluctant to give scathing reviews but I'm afraid they've earned this one.

we live in london so the charcoal grill is local to us, it was the weekend so we thought we would get a kebab it was the first time we had been to the charcoal grill and it will be the last.i,m afraid to say the food was very poor and the the hanging kebab meat was like rubber the chips are frozen fried rubbish..i,m afraid the lot got half eaten and thrown in the bin if you are looking for a take away my advise is to steer well clear... james.

this is the best place when you need food!!! if you look BBQs this is the place to come! the meat is tender and the salad is to die for!! the portions are massive too which is a plus! Would recommend to everyone.
