The Cedar in Camden

I'm a repeat visitor here for good food, reasonable prices, and above all a balanced menu that offers substantial and delicious salads and vegetables alongside the ubiquitous meat+carbs. I want to eat something I might not cook at home, but I'd like the quantity of vegetables that I would have at home! Fattoush salad, lemon garlic chicken and their cheese parcels are on my repeat orders.

Awesome quality food with great selection for vegetarian and meat eaters. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance’s is lovely and the food is good value. It’s our go to restaurant whenever we went a good meal. Definitely worth the visit.

This is now probably my favourite restaurant. Everything stands out as just great and makes you happy. Four adults all chose something different and nobody was disappointed. The rice and (pulled) lamb was perfection. Pricing is spot on.

Fantastic local Lebanese restaurant. I've been here twice (with plans to go in the future too) and both times, we had absolutely delicious food – some of the best Middle Eastern food I have ever had – and received outstanding service. Every dish we tried was flavourful and with very generous portions – I would especially recommend the muhammara. The owner is super generous and both times provided free pitta bread as well as a free dessert and liqueur on one occasion. This kind of generous spirit and passion for the food is rare to come by in London. The food was incredibly affordable too. I hope people give this place a visit.

The food here is wonderful. We were in London for a number of days so we went back for a second time. We had not eaten this cuisine before but the staff kindly helped us put together a great variety to try. All so delicious. And they just kept bringing warm bread from the oven for free. In fact, the value for money was outstanding - a meal for 4 cost £74 including drinks. Also, the staff are friendly and attentive. Do give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed

Wonderful experience of my Saturday dinner at The Cedar. We chose the place for its well-kept appearance and warm lighting, ideal for relaxing We loved the food. Healthy, fresh, homemade, with a lot of flavor. They always treated us with a smile. Whoever seemed to be the owner took care of our table and made sure we enjoyed the food, making us feel like we were in his own home. Furthermore, he knew how to convey his passion for Lebanese gastronomy. Highly recommended. The price also seemed fair to us.

Great quality Middle Eastern food. Went for Falafel and Halloumi options as well as the Beiruiti hummus which was delicious. Been quiet at lunch time but definitely worth visiting.

Went for a birthday meal with 5 friends we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - the food was delicious would definitely recommend….

Excellent food - try the chicken taouk wraps and octopus. Grilled lamb cutlets are excellent. Batata hara, moutabel and cheese rikakat should be had too! Mahlabia is good.too but with a little too much rose essence at times perhaps. Reasonably priced and well worth going to. Service is attentive, friendly and genuine.

It was one of the best meals I've had in London. Drinks were good flavors and not overpowering. Hummus had the right of spice, Greek salad, and chicken shawarma, all incredible flavoring. Their baklawa was the perfect finish to complete the meal. If around, I definitely recommend stopping in for a fantastic meal.

This restaurant is ideal for a casual night out. The owner was really friendly and made us welcome. Our starters, which we shared, were very tasty and the main courses were huge! We could not finish them and the waiter suggested taking home the left-overs. White wine was good and we had a very enjoyable evening out.

From someone who orders and eats I it every night. Don’t mind spending money on good food. Food is lucky to get two stars, always found the cedar to have a really weird taste, weird meat. Ate there today and left feeling quite sick. Waitress is rude. Wouldn’t go back and would never order from there again.

Such delicious food, we had the Beiruty hummus with pita, and chicken shish touk plate, which were both spot on. The chicken was juicy and tender and the Lebanese rice with it were so nice. Highly recommended!

Ordered a delivery for 12 people. We are teachers so were worried that our food wouldn't arrive in time (we have 50 mins for lunch). The food arrived 15 mins early!!! :-) 10/10 It was well wrapped and fresh so still hot when we ate. Everybody got exactly what they ordered as well as a little baklava treat. We all said the food was delicious and we would definitely order again. We love the menu as there is a large variety of options and something for everyone. Very tasty food, fresh with excellent flavour. The portion sizes were great too. 10/10 Sami took my order over the phone and made the process swift and easy. He was very professional and likeable. 10/10 You are missing out if you don't eat at the Cedar. You are also missing out if you never order for delivery (even the delivery guy was lovely).

It is a good Libanese restaurant, but last time is was not as good as previous times.

Ziad is an amazing host and waiter. I recommend going to the restaurant and hope you can meet Ziad. Delivery is also really good!

Just had early dinner with some of my friends, the food was amazing really delicious 🤤! But the service was amazing by ziad, I must say he was amazing very helpful and such a kind hearted person! We’ll definitely be back soon !

We are four friends that have been looking forward to getting together. We had dinner here - the food was fresh and delicious. The bread was served warm and the portions were generous at a fair price. The service was a true reflection of middle eastern hospitality and warmth. Ziat was our server with exceptional service. The atmosphere was pleasant with a light level of liveliness.

I had a great experience here, Ziad is a true welcoming host and the food was so flavorful. I’d especially recommend the hummus and fattoush! I look forward to our next meal here.

A wonderful mid-afternoon mezzo feast. Ziad (my sincere apologies if I’ve misremembered his name) was a great host bringing a beautiful energy and fantastic service. Highly recommended. All the classic dishes prepared to perfection.

Been coming here for years and always been the same waitress, this time there’s an old guy and charges £9.50 for a can of coke, bottle of water and two spoons of chilli sauce!! Wouldn’t step foot in here ever again, got the lunch menu but he wasn’t too keen on us having that. Watch what they charge for, took took down the road is way better for £1 more

Simply the Best ? We're long time fans of this brilliant, authentic and unpretentious diner. Lebanese friends get their party food from here and are also regulars. The portions are generous so we nearly always load up with the amazing starters and enjoy the variety they offer. Although, like all , rising costs have had to fed through to many prices, its still excellent value and as a result is always busy so has a good atmosphere.

I placed an order on here last night through Just Eat at 8.10. It said 15-30 mins delivery. 8.40 came, no food, kept checking the app now said 9pm. 9pm came, no food, app said 9.15. 9.15 came, no food. 9.20 they cancelled the order. Absolutely fuming with the place, I tried to ring a few times. No one answered. Joke of a place, 😡😡

This is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been been lovely! The atmosphere was perfect and definitely get their diced potatoes, they’re the best!!

We ordered from here through Uber eats. Items included the chicken shish, chicken wings, vine leaves and tabbouleh. The food tasted ok, but what followed was horrific. Within two hours, both of us had suffered severe food poising, which consisted of terrible stomach cramps and diarrhoea. I’ve reported it to Uber eats and will never be ordering from here again.

We LOVE this place. Having lived in the area for the past few years we pop there regularly. Amazing food, great value for money, wonderful service and fabulous quality of the food. Also, portions are very generous regardless of dining in or getting it delivered!

Went here with friends on Saturday evening and had loads of starters to share. So many that we didn’t have any mains because we were so full already. Plus a few bottles of wine and we had a wonderful evening and dinner. My favourite were the spinach pastries and the batatas harra. The falafel were awesome too and the bread and the hummus….

We went on a Monday night about 9 pm, so it wasn't too busy. But boy, weren't we surprised. Two really pleasant young gentlemen served us. The starters were excellent, and the main courses were equally delicious. I bought a wrap takeaway separately for my son (lamb shawarma), and that one was even better. We did not drink at all, just water, and our bill worked out £25/head, which, given the quality of the food and the service, was very reasonable. Tips are at customers' discretion. No service charge is added, although you can add the tip to your bill in one payment. Based on my first visit, I would definitely go back and recommend that you try.

We were around in the local area and decided to pop in for dinner. The dishes were lovely and authentic. The Tabbuleh was amazing, the hummus was creamy and the mains were a good size.

The Cedar is beautiful local restaurant, with very tasty food & attentive staff who made us feel so welcome!

Ordered 3 lamb shawarma and 3 chicken shawarma and they were absolutely disgusting. Lamb was not edible and full of fat and gristle, chicken had dry shish mixed in with it. They were also full of pickles, like an excessive amount. I used to eat from the Maida Hill branch often, very nice shawarmas. Last night was disgusting and embarrassing in front of my friends after praising them. Starters were ok.

Always great, the cedar never disappoints. All food is excellent and the speed at which it comes out is epic. Service is fantastic and the Lebanese beer is a delight. The bill always surprises me as it’s such great value. Will always return for more!

Excellent Lebanese/Levantine food. Better than Maroush as far as I'm concerned. I always order food from The Cedar to introduce my non-Arab friends to Levantine Arab food. Their food is excellent and varied. Their sausages and muhamarra are out of this world. They also serve Lebanese wine, which is very good. The service is excellent and they often offer free dessert.

Great little nook. Found that communication was a bit hit and miss with us. There was four of us for a evening out. One person asked if they had any vegetables and the waitef kept replying "yes, salad" I asked for hot water to drink which took àges to arrive. All of us only eat seafood, ŵhich was okay.

La salle est très chaleureuse, le service est très jovial et un bon accueil. La nourriture est vraiment très bonne. J’ai testé beaucoup de libanais en France mais celui est mon Numero 1. La nourriture y est vraiment très bonne, les prix ne sont pas trop élevé pour Londres, les portions sont raisonnables. Cependant faite attention au piment il est vraiment très très fort. Je recommande si vous aimez tout ce qui tourne autour des plats méditerranéens.

This place is a definite yes! The staff are fantastic, friendly, attentive, the food is amazing, best lamb chops I have ever had. The portions are very generous. Nicely set out, and always accommodate our needs (we like a large table, do not like to be squashed up)

Visited for the first time to celebrate my daughter-in-law's 40th birthday. The atmosphere was just so friendly the minute you walked in the restaurant. The food was absolutely 💯 on point. Very tasty and came in abundance. The service was exemplary the staff could not do enough to please you, nothing was too much for them to make you feel comfortable. Would definitely go back. I wish I could leave this place, a six star review!!!! I come here time is a year and the food and service an atmosphere is always fantastic and yesterday was no exception. I was having dinner with a friend and every dish we ordered, was perfect from the fatoush to the chicken wings, which we ordered two portions of because they were so good. When the bill came, we were surprised to see it, because I’m not used to see fair prices in London and I would’ve happily paid more. The manager also apologised that a couple of the dishes had taken too long to bring to a table at the restaurant was busy, but it was still some of the fastest and friendly service I’ve seen in the last year. It’s my last meal on this earth is at the Cedar very happy.

Both my bf and I have stomach problems this morning, having been at the restaurant yesterday evening….. The chicken shawarma was actually terrible.. the rest was ok…. Would not go back!

Popped in while staying in London for a light dinner. The waitering staff were helpful despite being very busy. The food was beautiful and tasty. Excellent value for money. The mint tea is lovely too.

Great food, for great prices. Most importantly they have great home made soups, which in London is not that easy to find.

Ordered a take away. There were a few issues but these were handled very professionally. Have been going for years and food consistently good - would recommend.
