Lovely food, reasonably priced, not too busy

Had a fantastic meal here, and Sam was very attentive

Visited The Cave twice now for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food was extremely well presented, tasty and the lamb tender. Definitely a place to keep revisiting. 😀

You will not leave hungry!!! This was a fantastic meal! Thank you so much. Beautiful flavours, lovely staff and food that is just amazing. Now I’m gonna roll home.

We enjoyed a really relaxing group lunch here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent- really tasty and well presented. Well worth a visit- I will certainly be back!

Stopped here whilst travelling with work. What a great restaurant, the food is delicious & beautifully presented. Such wonderful flavours. The portion size is generous to say the least. Just wonderful.

We called up to book was told they open at 5pm however I said if we could possibly get there 4pm could they help and the guy on the phone was very helpful and agreed we got there was seated and order taken drinks arrived fast and cold with some dips and bread was very nice. The mains arrived hot and looked amazing even the kids loved it and they was very helpful fron start to finish amazing service and food 😀

Friendly staff, great food, and let me have red rice with my instead of the set rice. I can't imagine anyone leaving the Cave not full up as the meals are big!!

Frist time but not over keen on the place. I found the meat a bit dry the salad was not to my liking and asked for a glass of tap water which came straight away but asked for another but not forth coming. Had the tiramisu but did not taste like tiramisu disappointed with it.

Fantastic food and service - can’t recommend highly enough

Really lovely place. Popped in on the off chance as a walk in. Got a table straight away. Staff were attentive but not pushy. Food was really good. Will definitely be returning soon.

First visit to the cave kitchen, we went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy. We had the mixed kebabs from the menu and they were lovely. Fresh salad and gorgeous warm bread on the table. Would definitely be coming back in the future.

The food was wonderful a bit pricey but I don't mind paying for quality....the building is quirky and tastefully done.Everywhere was clean.However I feel the service let down the experience.I had to ask to order ask for a menu and ask to pay.There were ample staff but they were too busy chatting.It definitely deflected from the whole picture as bad service is something I can't abide.For this reason I would not visit again.

We attended for a family birthday meal, and I just had to leave a small review about how good the food was. I am not usually a huge fan of Mediterranean style cuisine but this just blew all my expectations out of the water. It was so incredible, I mean the Tiramisu was otherworldly. Such a cute cosy environment too, and the staff are really attentive and very friendly. We had a wonderful time and I will be visiting again and have recommenced to wider family and friends.

We visited Cave Kitchen on Saturday and were absolutely blown away. The decor is lovely and contemporary, the staff were attentive, and the food was divine. I ordered a Ribeye steak cooked rare and it came out spot on - and the portion was huge! Our waitress had our drinks with us within moments of us requesting them and the food was also an acceptable wait. We found Cave Kitchen online and loved the look of it so booked a table despite needing a decent amount of travel to get there, but despite this travel we would definitely come back. Due to our travel we over estimated the journey time and arrived a bit early, but the staff did not keep is waiting and showed us to our table immediately. Thank you for a lovely pleasant evening, and for beautiful food!

Went in today for the first time, it was empty but it was a Thursday lunchtime. We sat down and were treated respectfully. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food we had. It was fresh and well seasoned. We will definitely go again.

Edit: it was a takeaway under my parents name. Nothing in my review is false. Thanks Expensive really for what it is. Nearly £20 for 6 chunks of meat, some rice and a small salad. The lamb is never great as it’s usually quite fatty so opted for a chicken shish yesterday. Chicken was nice, bread was ok-it was burnt last night. Unfortunately the worst part of the meal was a thick dark hair in the rice so couldn’t eat it. Very disappointing. Probably wouldn’t return sadly.

Top place, a hidden gem we stumbled accross. Look this place takes on London quality and smashes it out of the park. I have eaten well on life, this is high quality. The mezze is to die for the meat is really good. No need to think about it, must be a stand out place in a quiet market town. Wow.

Really nice authentic Turkish cuisine. Lovely food and the service was very good. There was club style music playing throughout the meal, which was the only negative aspect from my perspective.

First time here last night, spur of the moment decision to go out. Quick search of google and this place popped up. We were not disappointed. Food was amazing and generous, neither of us could clear our plates. Really nice to see the chefs cooking over the hot coals as we walked in. We will be going back, especially for the Tiramisu!

Greatly recommend the chicken shish kabab, best I've had. Might want to ask for no sweetcorn in the rice if its not your preference. Service is friendly and fast, atmosphere is calm.

Absolutely the best place to eat in Downham Market and surrounding areas. The portions are great, the staff are lovely and the flavours are insane!!! So much better than any place I have been to locally. Everything is bursting with flavour and quality

A very warm and welcoming ambiance with an outstanding service and beautifully presented high quality dishes and cocktails. The prices are reasonable, portions are generous with very little waiting time after ordering. It does get really busy in the evenings so I would recommend booking reservations over the phone. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and will 100% be returning.

Lovely food, honestly some of the best turkish food I've had (including within Turkey). Have now been four times, but the service has been odd 3 out of 4 visits. On our visit in January, very grupy waitress, didn't crack a smile, very obliviously poured wine and it went all over the table, not particularly courteous, placed meals in the wrong people etc. Will revisit as the food is that good, but the service leaves something to be desired and at the price point should be better.

Lovely meal and service, but like eating in a fridge!! Very cold room temperature wise. People on table next to us were cold too.Restaurant needs more than one heater in the middle of the room. Radiators were off too! This is the only negative and easy to sort out. Everything else is great.

I had the corn fed chicken shish and it was excellent! It also comes with lavash bread and a chilli dip and another dip. This is the second dish I have had from here and aside from it being incredibly filling, I got 2 meals out of it, it's incredibly healthy food. I would fully recommend this place to anyone!

Alot of confusion with meal choice and dishes served being told that was what was ordered when it wasnt best thing was the complementary warm pitta with chilli sauce and garlic sauces

Really really enjoyed eating here. We took the train from Kings Lynn having heard lots of great reviews from family and friends. We were not disappointed, the staff were extremely friendly attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food was nice, seems to follow a formula. Starters were very filling, so next time we might have a few starters and share as a main. Staff were lovely, gave us a doggy bag and some extra dips. Bit pricey, but isn't everything!

Excellent place to eat. I had the T bone steak, cooked to perfection and red wine at room temperature delivered to the table by the very attentive staff. I will return.

Four of us went out for a meal and it was truly amazing,everything from our arrival through to leaving was superb, the staff the atmosphere and the fabulous food. Would highly recommend a d can't wait to return.

Very obliging, good choice of food.

Food was great, however the young server was not. She got both orders wrong, first asking to clarify which one I wanted, and I had to point out that wasn't what I ordered. Then my husband ordered a lamb dish, and a chicken one was served. This was corrected by the kitchen staff but the new one arrive when I had almost finished. A bottle of beer was offered as compensation but he was driving so ghis was wasted. Then when we went to pay we were advised it was cash only. Again domething the young server had not mentioned. I had to wait embarrassingly while my husband went to find a bank.

Some really reliably delicious, fresh food that never disappoints. However, the service is also reliably dreadful. I don't think that the teenages hired to serve are to blame - they desperately need some proper training and management- the way they speak about customers entering the restaurant "Shove them on that table down there" - the handling of dishes and crockery - slapped down without care, glasses placed on the table with their fingers inside them, getting the orders wrong, leaving two guests without plates and cutlary when all the food has been delivered to the table - we had to ask to be equipped to be able to start eating. Clearing the table when everyone has finished, and then ignoring us for a full 15 minutes - until I had to go to them standing by the bar - to ask for service for desert and coffee. Dropping £180 on dimner in Dowmham Market should come with service competence. Once again, I don't blame the kids - but the owners really need to put some work into training and managing them so that they can do their work well..

Wow! Our first and certainly not our last meal. I would be surprised if you can eat a starter as well as the main course…servings flavoursome and huge!! We will be returning

Wow, we visited here whilst working in the area. We thought as the other reviews were good & we didn’t have anything else to go on we would give it a try. We weren’t disappointed, the food was amazing- we ordered way to much but we’re given a box to take the rest away with us so that was dinner sorted for the following night! The service was friendly & efficient. If I’m in this area again we will definitely visit again. I’d almost be tempted to drive the 2.5hrs just to come here. Well done team 👏

I honestly cannot fault the place. It's stylish, cosy, comfy and the service was brilliant. Everyone is happy and very welcoming. The food is delicious and surprisingly filling. I'm a fatty, let's not sugar coat it as I might eat this review. The portion sizes were enough to even satiate my appetite. Make the time to visit cave kitchen.

Friendly staff and amazing food (The lamb was the most tender I have ever had). Found this gem by accident and will definitely be going back.

We went last night (3 June) for a friends birthday but it was very disappointing. It took absolutely ages for someone to come and take our order to the point we thought we had been forgotten about. 4 of us had the salmon and asparagus but the asparagus was inedible as it had been over fried. No one came and asked if everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks. Plates were cleared away but no desert menus given, we had to wait till we could catch someone to ask for them. Then a waitress came over and said we needed the table back at 8 and gave us our bill!!! It’s so stressful in there no atmosphere at all and the staff look miserable and are very unfriendly. Definitely won’t be going back, it seems to be more about getting as many people in as possible, but that’s fine if you’re more attentive to your diners and don’t ignore them

I'm not a Turkish cuisine expert but I've loved the food along the service, quick and polite, everything has been just perfect, prices are good for the quality and quantity of the food, definitely will return with friends and family. Good job cave restaurant

Disappointed.. Heard great things about this restaurant. Sadly we did not experience anything great. Food, okay, but cold. No atmosphere. Staff service was poor. Unattentive, unfriendly. Didn't once check if we food was okay, nor did they ask if we wanted drinks. Left feeling less than impressed. Won't be returning. Shame, as it could be a goldmine with a few tweaks.

Had an absolutely lovely meal out here with friends. Food was really good and service very good too. Reasonably priced too.

We were spending a weekend break in Norfolk and met with local friends for dinner. This was a restaurant they had visited many times so recommended. We were not disappointed - the staff were excellent and the food was lovely, so met our expectations. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Fantastic lunch, we may have overestimated our appetites for lunchtime but we hadn't bargained on the portions being so generous for the starters. But we gave it our all and maybe left a bit of salad !! The bread and dips brought to the table ahead of our starters was divine. Staff were top class, felt really taken care of and service was stunningly quick. Only room for improvement would be that the online menu needs updating as the prices are quite a bit different. Would highly recommend 👌 👍

We went to The Cave for our daughters 18th Birthday. There were 20 of us in total including 3 young children. We were greated with a warm welcoming smile and ahown to our own area so the children weren't stuck at the table the whole time. Drinks were quickly delivered and someone was always on hand to replenish when we needed it. Food was again brought out in hood time and was so so good and they were all very generous portions. The attentiveness and attitude of all the staff working was exceptional and much better than any other restaurants we have been to locally. Even a brownie with a candle in was brought out at the end whilst they played happy birthday to my daughter. A fantastic evening, meal and experience. I can not recommend enough.

Our first time visiting The Cave, the food was so lovely, atmosphere cosy, seating comfortable, service... literally the BEST we have experienced (we have been to a few places over the years😅) So attentive - nothing is too much trouble.
