Visita en solitario y primera vez a este restaurante, y me encantó. El lugar en sí no es tan grande, pero es acogedor y agradable, el personal es muy amable y servicial también. La comida era muy agradable también con una especie de comida callejera en marcha. Precios razonables, también. Recomendaría este restaurante.

El gerente y el personal son muy acogedores. La comida de la cocina - excelente. Me encanta el hecho de que hay opciones de pescado El restaurante tiene un buen ambiente al respecto.

Reyaz and Team were very attentive and the food was amazing. Just wish the people of Chapel Allerton would realise how good it is and support it (4* fir atmosphere due to lack of people- 4/5 tables free on a Tuesday isn't so bad I guess but could be better)

What a fantastic place! We ate here on one of our regular curry club outings. The food here is excellent! The flavours are great and portion sizes generous. We had: Poppadoms and chutney tray Plain and peshwari naan Punjabi lamb Hyderabadi chicken curry Railway potato curry Vegetable rice All dishes were great and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Ordered a Deliveroo from here for the first time. Food was delicious, good size portions. Meat is cooked to perfection and the naan bread was perfect. Sent to us in a lovely black bag. Will definitely eat here again, next time we'll go in, the decor looks fantastic. PS be aware if you order from the Cats Pyjamas at the Headingley branch, the food is absolutely awful, zero stars for that one, yet the one in Chapel Allerton is wonderful. Food ready as soon as we arrived- unfortunately it shows as all food was cold and soggy. Okra fries, onion banjis and fried fish were not crisp or fresh at all and I imagine had been cooked a long time before we collected

El gerente era acogedor y ofrece un gran toque personal. Para nosotros, Cats Pyjamas sirve el mejor curry en kilómetros a la redonda. Junto con el servicio atento, no podíamos pedir más. Queremos mantener a Chapel Allerton como una comunidad próspera, comer, beber y comprar locales.

The food was very tasty, particularly enjoyed the Pani Puri and the Samosa Chat. The masala chips were a bit stingy in portion for the price and did not travel so well. Maybe different packaging so they don't go so soggy is required.

Fantastic quality food, the menu is a bit on the small side but enough choice. The bombay keema lamb curry is delicious, although not served in the authentic Indian way with peas. Service is great and staff are very friendly and polite. Have returned multiple times because of the quality of the food. Worth trying if you like quality Indian cuisine. Only down side is theres little choice on the dessert menu but think this is work in progress. Update: Desserts have now been added to the menu.

I ate here with my sons this evening. It’s small so booking is essential because this is super food. Every course was hot and full of flavour. The level of spice was top notch. Very friendly staff. A great evening. Don’t miss out.

Ordered from here. Received embarrassing portions one curry had 4 pieces of chicken in it. The lamb curry turned up as a potato curry of some sort no lamb in it. Masala fries. Merely a handful and that’s been generous

Excellent food and reasonably priced. The portions are generous and everything was delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxed, simple decor and 00s soundtracks. It was very quiet when we visited but we went very early in the evening. All dishes are nut-free!

Fresh, hot and tasty - never had a better curry

Fantastic food, not your regular Indian. Great atmosphere and service. The flavours tasted fresh and the heat was spot on.

From the moment we went in, the service was extremely friendly & professional. The food & drinks were excellent. Portions very generous. The restaurant was full and the atmosphere was great! My wife is coeliac and the staff were not only very knowledgeable, but the menu was probably the most coeliac gluten free that we have seen, so highly recommended. All together a very positive, and enjoyable experience. We will be back again soon!

The food here is probably the best Asian food we have ever had. Service is first class too. Don't expect any frills here though it is what it is and Indian street food place, not a high class restaurant, but the quality of the food makes up for very small short comings Will be going back

Unfortunately still chasing a refund from 22nd December for a wrong order. 5 phone calls later and still no further. Food is good but wouldn’t recommend for a takeaway.

We have been here severql times now. We do enjoy doing take away here but do prefer sitting and eating. The food is always tasty and the staff are attentive and friendly. It is my favourite Saag paneer ever! And I would always recommend the cheesy Naan.

The Kolkata chaat that evening was just the punch we were craving for. There also were chicken 65 and sheek kebabs, both were brilliantly balanced. Thought they would make their own lemonade, but came in cans. The only verdict was the loud Hindi music. We would really appreciate it if they kept the music a bit down. But definitely going to go back. Recommended for friends and family, but book your visit beforehand to be on the safe side. :D

Food was delivered on time. Very lovely and tasty and lots of. Strange that the popadoms come in broken pieces(?), never had them like that before but they still tasted nice and fresh. Hardly any fat on the lamb, which was also very tender. Delivery driver followed the instructions (trust me, my door is hard to find in the dark)! However, a lot of drivers go knocking up my neighbours, so it was great that he had read my instructions/directions. Thankfully, he was driving a car and not a bicycle (like K-F-C, which I will NEVER use again for food deliveries as they come hours later and clap cold). I will use this restaurant again because the food was 9/10. If the food was a little hotter and the popadoms were a normal size, it would be 10/10, however, great service, delivery and taste. Popadoms were overpriced for a little bag of broken-style popadoms. They were the same price as the pickle tray but not as plentiful. Thanks for a lovely meal.

The food is fantastic. There's great variety on the menu and everything is tasty, fresh and not at all oily as Indian food can sometimes be. Lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. Whenever I've been the service is excellent and the atmosphere is good, although a little loud at times due to the sound bouncing off the walls and windows. But it's not problematic. My one and only negative is the number of takeaway drivers constantly in and out of the door. I don't blame them, nor the restaurant as it's obviously good business for them, but it is a tiny bit off-putting. But most places seem to have this issue so I guess it's the new normal. It's certainly not a big enough deal to put me off coming back again and again! Keep up the good work CP!!!

I love this restaurant. It's my 'go to' in Chapel Allerton and we are spoilt for choice. I've been loads of times now, with friends, family and also on a date night with the wife. The food is always amazing and the service has always been super cheerful.

Our food delivery was delayed by about an hour as they couldn't find a driver, after two phone calls with the manager, our food arrived and was delicious, so I would recommend the Cat's Pyjamas but not Just Eats delivery driver.

Nothing was too much trouble for them. And if you are a mo salah fan his look alike was there. Thankyou

I've left rave reviews for this place previously but was disappointed this time. Ordered dishes I've had before and loved, and for some reason they were different this time, and not in a good way. A shame as thought I'd found my go to curry house.

Sensational. The food tastes absolutely amazing. The flavours deliver an amazing food experience. The Peshwari Nan, especially, is a thing and taste of perfection.

Quite simply the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever had. Freshly cooked authentic dishes, amazing portion sizes and the Hyderabadi Chivken I had was packed with chicken! I will be ordering again!!

We have eaten here on numerous occasions since it opened. It was consistently good until a few weeks ago, when we noticed that although the food was excellent, the customer service was poor. There used to be a friendly buzz to the place, and the customer service was spot on. Unfortunately, this has changed over the past few months, and last night was worst of all when other than staff, we were the only people in the place. We were there for 2 hours and no-one else set foot through the door except delivery couriers. The food was ok, certainly not as good as in the past, and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. With all the other choices in the area, Cat’s Pyjamas sadly seems now one to avoid

Amazing dining experience, staff are warm and lovley. Manager is very friendly the food topped it off. We ordered starters and curry’s and both were the best we’ve have. Definitely recommend this place.

Have eaten here many times but lately felt the atmosphere has changed. The food on this last visit wasn't anywhere near as good as previous visits. To put this into context, chicken dry and another starter the same. Roti fluffy on the outside but thin and crispy in the middle. Also a lot of small flies, annoyingly and not something you want to experience while dining. Do hope to see improvement and consitency - small issue with tiny flies - which could be beer flies). Just a guess.

Excellent food and service! Our waiter was so lovely and patient, he talked us through some options as I was being indecisive and made recommendations based on what I tend to like. He was spot on and both my partner and I absolutely loved all the food we ordered! We left the restaurant pretty full and still had some leftovers to bring home. We'll definitely be back!

Great service and food. The waiter was really helpful advising me on the menu as I have a food intolerance. All the dishes we ordered were lovely but especially recommend the fish Amritsari starter and the Punjabi lamb.

I booked a take at short notice for the wife and I to have dinner - the booking system worked well, and I received a swift confirmation. This was our first visit to the Cats Pyjamas in Chapel Allerton, having eaten in their Headingly and previously their city centre location and I have to say we were not disappointed. The food was lovely, fresh, and cooked perfectly, and I would happily recommend.

It's not real Indian curry. Its just slop slop put together to look like curry for non-Indians. This site awful. Lacks any culture or Indian vibe.

Great food and atmosphere. They're great with gluten free labelling and I love that they have gluten free beer, which goes brilliantly with Indian food.

Food not very authentic, and absolutely no atmosphere. Have had better curries, wouldn't rush back. Service was very quick though, but possibly too quick. We were in and out within an hour having ordered poppadoms, starters and mains.

Poor experience from my trip to Cats Pyjamas with 2 other friends. We had our whole main meal on the table when we were informed by the manager we had 10 minutes left on our table. We asked how that was possible when we were still clearly eating our meal and we were told that they allocate everyone the same amount of time and that's "usually enough time".. it's clearly not! We arrived on time, we ordered our drinks and food when we were asked (i.e we didn't ask for extra minutes to decide), we were a small group and yet we were told with a full table of food, we had 10 minutes left. No one made us aware of this time limit when we sat down so I'm struggling to see how we  could have been expected to know. From there on in it all went downhill, a service from other staff that had been pleasant up until then just turned sour. The wait staff barely acknowledged us. When we asked to take some of the food home we were thrust metal containers and told to put the food in there ourselves at the table .. not what I'm used to as anyone would usually expect this to be bagged up in the kitchen. What I'd usually expect from this kind of misunderstanding is accommodating behaviour and apologetic but this manager was stubborn in telling us this is how they always do things. I'd just got another glass of wine before the manager came over and said we had 10 minutes left (why they served us another drink without making us aware of the deadline I don't know!!) we'd asked if there was anywhere I could finish my wine as I shouldn't be expected/ encouraged to rush my wine. The waitress said she'd go check if there was but never came back to me. Then when we asked if we could have the wine knocked off the bill - because I couldn't drink it - there was also a standoff about that too. So lesson learnt from this recent trip. Don't go to Cat's Pyjamas- there are plenty of other great eateries in Chapel Allerton which value your custom a lot more than this place. Note to Cats Pjyamas: 1. Get your staff to take orders in a time frame that fits around your rigid time slots 2. Learn some empathy and basic customer service

Possibilité de plats non épicés, les enfants peuvent choisir des plats adultes en petites portions. Le curry au poulet miel ainsi que celui aux lentilles sont vraiment délicieux. Tellement bons que ma fille en a repris 3 fois.

Myself and 2 Friends visited here for our evening meal. The food was absolutely delicious with a very wide variety of tasty choices of mains , sides and starters. The menu provides such a great variety! I really like how there is many vegetarian and vegan options as I am not the biggest meat eater but also caters for the meat lovers with different meat options to choose from! The butter paneer is an absolute treat, super delicious! There is many different beers and lagers to choose from! I order a Cobra with my meal, it was crisp, ice cold, refreshing and paired perfectly with my meal. The cocktails we tried were the espresso martini and porn star martini. These drinks were exceptional from the presentation to taste. The glasses served in were sleek and elegant and the cocktail inside was even better! The porn star martinis were not too sickly and were super tasty and refreshing. And for the price, super affordable yet absolutely delicious! The team at the Chapel Allerton branch are superb. The barmaids/waitresses are very nice, polite and attentive and the RGM, Adam is an absolute star! Very caring and chatty and always goes above and beyond in order to attend to his customers! Thank you all I really enjoyed my meal tonight.

Having heard good things about the Cat's Pyjamas in Headingley, we thought we'd give the one in Chapel Allerton a try as friends were visiting. The decor hasn't changed since its Black Markets days but we received a warm welcome, shown to our table, given menus and asked if we wanted drinks. Good start. Order was taken promptly and answers to queries on the dishes were well handled. That's where it all went a bit pear-shaped. A group of 8 diners arrived and were seated next to us. Because the room is just one big box with no soft furnishings, sounds just bounce off the walls and everyone just starts to talk louder and louder as you have to practically shout to be heard. This isn't the fault of the other diners, it's purely an acoustic issue and it really doesn't make for a pleasant dining experience. The food was actually very good and reasonably priced though the wine list is rather limited. After finishing our meal we couldn't wait to get out to escape the cacophany of noise. We asked to speak to the manager to to advise that, had it been a nicer environment, we would have probably stayed for a dessert and more drinks. He acknowledged that the acoustics are a real problem and that other diners have also complained about the noise. He advised that there are plans to put in some acoustic panels in the near future. When they're installed, we may well give it another try, but won't return until it's sorted.

Order take out last night 2 different chicken curry’s and 1 potato curry .2 Nans 1 rice £41 . All the same colour and all same taste no real spice but flavour was ok (can only imagine chef was away that evening) hubby and son who are curry lovers as I am , all agreed that they the dishes were extremely boring bland and uninteresting. But maybe ok if it’s the 1st time you have ever stepped foot into the curry world ! Think that it’s more aimed at vegetarians and those with a very mild palate and those with gluten free and all other intolerances etc .. so sorry but it’s not for us .

Excellent experience from start to finish. Food was great, as expected from previous visits to headingley. Lots of craft beers available. Staff were great and overall it felt like a great, friendly dining experience. The place itself was nicely decorated and furnished and felt looked-after.. clean and tidy.
