Great place for a lunch. The menu is limited but it is more a bar with food rather than a restaurant. The food is excellent and there is something for everyone. JJ our server was great. Very good value for money.

We had chicken burger and chips, every was cooked from scratch and tasted amazing! I even eat a couple of chips and I don't like chips. I would highly recommend.

Me and my sister went for the bottom brunch, it was my first time visiting. The food was brilliant and the staff were extremely attentive. A big shout out to Lucy especially who was extremely bubbly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Fui por el brunch sin fondo con un grupo de amigos. Lo pasamos genial, Prosecco se quedó en botellas porque éramos un grupo grande y también nos dieron zumo de naranja. La comida era muy buena, pero uno de nuestros amigos fue olvidado y tuvo que esperar hasta que todos terminaron, pero creo que esto fue solo un error. En general, gran entorno, gran servicio! Gracias por un tiempo fabuloso!

We go to the canary all the time so we enquired about hiring the top floor for a party. The whole process was so smooth and easy, and Dan was wonderful with helping to organise everything! The party itself was great, the food was absolutely amazing and everything went as planned without any issues. 10/10 would recommend as an event venue as well as a great bar!

Got the Chicken tenders and Mac n cheese bites, banging! With a tasty Guinness for Paddy's day, great all round!

I had my 50th party at The Canary. As a venue it is spot on, location, size etc. my personal view however is the establishment is not great at catering for parties. Specifically for the following reasons: 1. The pre planning and communication was not great. A change in personnel meant details were different / needed re establishing / confirming when I checked in a few weeks or so before the party. The biggest issue was the (new) need to get a license extension (beyond 11pm) which was never mentioned at time of booking and which caused a lot of stress. The room layout was never discussed and therefore when I arrived 5 minutes before my party there was work to do to organise the room (tables / chairs layout) 2. The bar tab required to be met / achieved on the night of the party had a number of issues….. firstly unrealistic amount based on a) originally only a 3.5 hour window until I extended it to 5.5 hours b) not enough bar staff to cater for the party size thus forcing party guests to either wait or purchase drinks from downstairs (which was not part of the ‘tab’ and which in theory weren’t part of the license extension I had secured) c) see no.4 3. Very junior bar staff member, thus not knowing how to make cocktails and slow service (all contributing to no.2) 4. Lack of understanding from the establishment that evidence was required ie a till receipt / itemised invoice of what drinks had gone through the till to demonstrate the spend on the night. Instead I was demanded to pay an outstanding amount at the end of the evening without any confirmation of what had been purchased. It was 1.15am and it ruined my evening…… Based on the above and following direct feedback from my party guests re service, their spend on the night (£££) I would not recommend the venue as a party venue. I appreciate we all have different experiences, I’m sharing mine, having already shared with the establishment (to give an opportunity to respond positively) however their reluctance of acceptance or taking feedback as a learning was very disappointing. Thus contributing to my poor experience as a venue. I don’t have any food thus haven’t rated it. I haven’t rated atmosphere as this is not relevant to the establishment on this occasion….. more my party vibe, with my own DJ that I paid for separately.

Tuve mi fiesta número 50 en Canarias. Como lugar en el que se encuentra, ubicación, tamaño, etc. mi opinión personal, sin embargo, es que el establecimiento no es genial para atender fiestas. Específicamente por las siguientes razones: 1 . La planificación previa y la comunicación no fue genial. Un cambio en el personal significaba que los detalles eran diferentes / necesitaban restablecer / confirmar cuando me registré unas semanas antes de la fiesta. El mayor problema fue la (nueva) necesidad de obtener una extensión de licencia (más allá de las 11 pm) que nunca se mencionó en el momento de la reserva y que causó mucho estrés. El diseño de la sala nunca se discutió y, por lo tanto, cuando llegué 5 minutos antes de mi fiesta había trabajo que hacer para organizar la sala (disposición de mesas / sillas) 2 . La pestaña de la barra requerida para ser cumplida / lograda en la noche de la fiesta tenía una serie de problemas... en primer lugar, una cantidad irreal basada en a) originalmente solo un 3. Ventana de 5 horas hasta que la amplié a 5. 5 horas) no había suficiente personal del bar para atender el tamaño de la fiesta, lo que obligó a los invitados a esperar o comprar bebidas de la planta baja (que no era parte de la ‘pestaña’ y que en teoría no eran parte de la extensión de licencia que había asegurado) c) ver no. 4 3 . Funcionario de bar muy joven, sin saber así hacer cócteles y servicio lento (todo lo que contribuye al n.o 2 ) 4 . Falta de comprensión por parte del establecimiento de que se requería evidencia, es decir, un recibo de caja / factura detallada de qué bebidas habían pasado por la caja para demostrar el gasto en la noche. En cambio, me exigieron que pagara una cantidad pendiente al final de la tarde sin confirmación de lo que se había comprado. Era 1. 15 am y arruinó mi velada... Basado en lo anterior y siguiendo los comentarios directos de los invitados de mi fiesta re servicio, su estancia en la noche (£££) No recomendaría el lugar como un lugar de fiesta. Aprecio que todos tengamos experiencias diferentes, comparto las mías, ya habiendo compartido con el establishment (para dar la oportunidad de responder positivamente) sin embargo su renuencia a la aceptación o tomar el feedback como aprendizaje fue muy decepcionante. Contribuyendo así a mi pobre experiencia como lugar. No tengo comida, por lo tanto no la he calificado. No he calificado ambiente ya que esto no es relevante para el establecimiento en esta ocasión... más mi ambiente de fiesta, con mi propio DJ que pagué por separado.

Had a bottomless brunch for my friends birthday. We were looked after by a gentleman called Miles, his service was one of the best I’ve had in Leeds. He made sure we were all looked after and was very patient with all of us. Very pleased. We will be back!

Popped in on a busy day in half term. Kieran quickly cleared us a nice table by the window for us and took the time to go through the menu options with us. Food was quick and tasty, Isaac loved the Mac n Cheese Bites. Good, location, service and at food. Would recommend :-)

Great little find near Leeds Dock, the Steak and Blue Cheese sandwich was delicious, and great value with their own Pilsner for £12. Happily come here again!

We ordered the chicken and beef burger with 2 french martinis and a side of halloumi fries and mac and cheese (mouthfuls) bites. the ratios of meat to sauce to bun was nothing short of perfection. No room for dessert tho but we were truly satisfied none the less.

Lovely spot for lunch on the docks! The prices are very reasonable and all the food I’ve had has been delicious! Also very quick service , and a fabulous selection of cocktails.

Pare a tomar una copa después de un día en el centro de Leeds. Tranquilo (no era tarde) , personal amable, pequeño bar agradable. No teníamos nada que comer, pero el menú se veía bien.

We felt so looked after from the inquiry & booking (thank you there to the ever patient Dan, quickly responding to many questions and queries) to the very end of the event. The food and drink was tasty and fabulous - and the venue itself was perfect.

This place is amazing. We really enjoyed the cocktails and the food. We also had a out of the way seat, so it was a bit private. The staff were also amazing and so so so friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed the vibe, however we had 3 different glasses, all with some black bits stuck to the inside of the glass. They were hardened on. Need to be cleaned properly.

Quiet little bar/pub by the docks. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace upstairs for a drink. Particularly nice when it's raining and you're sat under the roofed area watching the rain hit the water.

This was a great choice for my afternoon with an amazing burger and nice cocktails. Will come back to try another things on Menu.

Situado justo al lado de las Armerías Reales, el Canary es un bar único construido con contenedores de transporte marítimo. El personal es cálido y acogedor y el pilsner canario fue bienvenido después de explorar las armerías reales. Nos sentamos en el piso de arriba fuera de la cubierta, que era un gran lugar para ver el mundo pasar. La cubierta superior tiene un techo y era muy agradable en el sol de finales de verano, pero puedo imaginarnos un poco preparándonos en climas más fríos - ¡apenas pellizque dentro de las puertas del patio a los asientos interiores de la cubierta superior!

So badly organised / run Queued for absolutely ages to get drinks, when I came back downstairs to order food they said they aren't doing food anymore....cheers for mentioning that before we bought the drinks....the one guy behind the bar was really friendly and clearly a bit embarrassed, the taller guy (possibly supervisor, tall with piercings) didn't seem to care at all, his attitude was shocking. Complete waste of time visiting here

I was there only for drinks, and I really enjoyed my time there, it was a quiet and peaceful place and you have a beautiful view of leeds dock.

Booked Canary Bar for our staff party 🎉 They were very accommodating with all our requests and fast communication. We loved the venue as it was just right for the amount of people we had. They prepared a Microphone for us and also helped us set up our DJ decks. Ollie and Marni were the best bartenders we could ever wish for, fast service and super helpful! The drinks tokens got us double drinks and cocktails which is SO rare to find at any other venues! Joe and Jake did a fantastic job on the food and remembered all of our food requirements! I couldn’t be happier with Morgan who helped me organise everything. The night went smooth and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time thanks to the wonderful staff who made this all happen! Would definitely recommend booking here! I will again :)

Had a lovely experience here dockside, great views out over the water on a hot day. Service was fast and servers were attentive. One of the managers, Kieran, provided us with table service and brought the food over which tasted lovely. Will be coming back.

The Canary is honestly so overrated - and worst of all the staff are so rude!!! Went in for lunch, was given very disgusted/rude looks upon entry. Then when I asked if lunch was on due to the attitude of the staff members, they just answered "yes" rudely and gave me 0 details as to how things worked there (I.e. table service, order at the bar, etc). There was no menus on any tables. Finally when we came down to order food/drinks, I had to get my own menu as the rude staff striked again, telling me to get my own! Tall big guy with black short hair glasses and a black short beard was the one who served us. Then there were another 2 young girls. The location is lovely and I hoped for a nice lunch. The food is decent but overpriced. Such a shame about the rude staff who's one job is 'hospitality', yet they failed at even that. It would be a much nicer place if the staff could conduct themselves properly.

Best (and very tender) steak sandwich in living memory, great service, £12 lunch deal (with a glass of house wine or a beer)! Side portions of chips aren't huge but the chips are delicious. Lovely location, can't fault these guys 10/10

Funky bright yellow shipping container converted into a bar and café and sits between the Royal Armouries and the dock. Has plenty of outdoor seating, some of which is sheltered. Pleasant enough service. Not a huge menu choice. I found the vegan mushroom burger seriously overpriced at £12 for what was essentially a mushroom stuck in a bun. Generous portion of tasty chips though, but felt disappointed in the burger, which did come with a slice of tomato, lettuce and some dressing. Might revisit for a drink, but not to eat.

Watch out for them loading 20% tips on to your card when getting a round in ! Scandalous - u thought I was in Leeds not Vegas - 20% for pulling a few pints is scandalous

An inventive bar/restaurant near the Royal Armouries. We went to watch the Leeds v Southampton playoff final on the big screens. The staff were friendly and the beer good. The result wasn't good, but it was a great place to watch the game.

Highly recommended! Great location right on the water with cozy furnishings and a lively atmosphere. The Garlic Truffle Chips were particularly delicious. The service from Aoife was also excellent – ​​very attentive and friendly.

Went to this bar recently with my mates, had the chicken tenders which were soooo yum yum. Aoife (server) was so hospitable and kind, interesting hair but me and the lads loved it!

We attended the venue for a works event and reserved some space in the upstairs area. The team worked hard with food and drinks orders, all ran really smoothly and the bar staff were really friendly and helpful. Our company had a brilliant time (and even won the evening quiz, which just topped the evening off 😊) The Chicken Burgers are gorgeous!!

I'd come here the previous weekend with my boyfriend, however we had walked away empty handed as we hadn't been allowed to sit outside on the upper decking. We didn't want to bother if we weren't able to enjoy a nice view. However, I came back with a vengeance yesterday with a friend and finally, after a week of self-pity, got to sit outside upstairs. It was worth the wait! Lovely, peaceful scenes. Daisy and I treated ourselves to cups of tea and nibbled on some loaded fries and salad while doing some intense people watching. I'd definitely recommend.

Such a great little Bar, just next door to the Leeds Armouries. Lots of seats/tables outside with nice views of the Canals, great place to sit in the Summer 😎 Inside is surprisingly big, with a number of Booths/Tables, most looking out over the Water. It has a great relaxed atmosphere, where you could just sit, drink and chill all day 😁 Service is excellent, very quick and very friendly. I didn't try the food, but what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good 👍 The Beer/Drinks are good and really reasonably priced 😎 Deffo worth a visit if you're in the area 👍

The music is fabulous, the fries are literally to die for and my main man Kieran was incredibly speedy and kept checking up on us making sure everything was perfect. I truly couldn't recommend this place more and I will definitely be back for more food. Perfect little date spot
