The Canadian Charcoal Pit in Tameside

I visit this place on and off and despite the new trend being 'smashed burgers' at other takeaways, the burgers here are far more flavourful, tastier and much better value for money:-) I've recently got back into ordering kebabs from here and to me its clearly obvious that the meat they cook is top quality as its meaty and tasty and excellent value for money! The guys in the shop are always polite and provide service with a smile! In my opinion, this is the best takeaway in Stalybridge!

What has happened the kebabs used to be gorgeous but something has changed . Donner meat doesn't taste the same or the sauces gutted and Luke warm .A little advice go back to how you used to make them .

We had a kebab craving and there’s nowhere better! We usually have chicken or lamb and chicken kebabs. The meat is lovely and lots of it and the bread is thinner than a naan bread bit stays crispy until the end, despite the filling. Yummo!!!

Family wanted takeout, but all wanted something different. Not pizza again, daughter didnt want a curry, found this place with a wide variety of stuff. Where have you been all my life?? :) daughter got the Prairidog with onion rings, wife got bonanza burger, i got chicken kebab with chilli sauce. Everything was amazing, everyone was happy, even worth the £4 delivery fee!

The food is amazing, prices are great for the quantity and the hot wings always super crispy and perfect amount of heat. The staff are really nice and polite always greeting with a smile when ordering for collection. Marinated chicken kebab is my favourite from this place. 10/10!

Up until 4 months ago the kebab meat was the best in tameside. The chili sauce was almost drinkable used to have at least 2 kebabs a week I've tried 3 in the last 4 months and they are absolutely terrible. My motto is if it isn't broke don't fix it. Will not be having it again.

Chips were cold but the burger was 10/10, delicious! When making the iem into a meal you cannot choose own choice of drink tho.

This takeaway is the best me and my family have had. Their Kababs are the best in the area, and you get plenty of it. Tried many others to compare but always disappointed and come back. You've got to give it a go.

This is the first time we have had food from The Canadian Charcoal Pit in Stalybridge and it was absolutely fantastic! We had a chicken kebab, a lamb kebab, popcorn chicken and cheesy chips. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! We absolutely love lamb and much as there are some tasty lamb kebabs around, this was DEFINITELY the most moist and tender that we have had in years! We ordered online but were passing so called in very early. We told them not to rush as we knew it wouldn't be ready yet but the wait time was WAY less than what we had been told which was a lovely surprise. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much, we will be back!!!

Ordered pizza lastnight, the food came all messed up toppings had slid off the pizza and when I spoke to the driver he responded saying that it must of been the way he was driving round corners and then said “my bad” honestly couldn’t write it and Iv also had belly ache all morning so pizza probs wasn’t cooked properly for them to of slidden off like they did

Ordered a sea food pizza and Chicken & donnor kebab, it was lovely, plenty of flavour and original style. Arrived in good time too, will be ordering again!

Came back here tonight for my usual chicken and lamb kebab with salad and chilli sauce and some mozzarella sticks everything was excellent mozzarella sticks back to how they was big thumbs up 👍

Been getting food here since it first opened, when it changed from the Continental Kebab House. Very rarely get food delivered as it takes forever and is always luke warm. Tonight I did a delivery order on line and found I had been charged £1.20 for delivery. Not happy as it clearly states free delivery over £9. When I phoned the person I spoke to wasn't interested. Sadly when we've collected from shop, everything has been very hot and really tasty, the staff have also been friendly. Having second thoughts about frequenting here again.

We've always been loyal customers of this takeaway however last time we ordered at 6.10pm for 2 burgers and a pizza we waited an 1hr and 40 mins!... Sorry guys but I'm afraid you've just lost a customer... if ever there's been an issue its always been handled professionally but not this time, not even an apology!not sure what's changed but things have gone down!!!

The food is great, always tastes fresh, and comes piping hot. Delivery is always on time, and the staff are stars. Much love to the lot of you.

2 pieces of chocolate cake missing. I rang up the gentleman said no way he put them in the bag. I'm not lying there is no chocolate cake that I paid for

Supposed 2b large mixed kebab normal size anywhere else donner meat instead of strips like anywhere else ,looked like chopped small scraps bland first &last time ,for &forgot an item aswell

1st time ordering from here. pizza took over an hour to arrive and when it arrived it was cold. Will not be ordering again. Requested refund which they said they would do. Will be waiting

After waiting for over an hour for my order it was cold and the shop were not interested and just said we'll it's busy. No refund given, even though they said one would be given. Do not order from this place.

great food as always , well presented and wrapped. nice and hot . chicken wings were a bit fishy hence the 5 stars only.

So here I am again to say that waiting over 2 hours to get a small order delivered is not right. It's obserd that you have to wait that long for your food, and I will never go here again. I've had too many bad experience as one of their regular customers, to now never going again and nothing will change my mind. Expect: Cold Food, Long Delivery Times, Soggy chips.

Just had a special kebab and it was totally delicious. Best Kebab I've ever had

Had a menu posted through the door and even though I lived 5 minutes away I have never been. Looked at the menu and notice 5 star hygiene rating so we thought we would give it a shot. We'll what a pleasant surprise, it was beautiful. We had a special Kebab and wow the Lamb was amazing. We also had a 14 " donner pizza. It was so good we finished the lot. Very highly recommended 100%. Lovely staff and amazing fresh hot food.

Not the best chips were shocking soggy just warm I’d be offending Heinz tomato sauce putting it on the chips burger was okay nothing special chicken burger bone in chicken thanks

Hands down the best kebabs and pizza!

Best kebabs around ... proper chargrilled chicken ... not microwaved rubbish. Just wish the chilli sauce had a Bit more of a kick to it.

We tried this place for the first time last week and it was spot on! It’s always a worry when trying somewhere new but we were pleasantly surprised. Pizza was delicious, chips were perfectly cooked and the kebab was great. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Absolutely love a treat from here... the staff are always so friendly and polite also. Love my regular Sizzler Burger Meal with onion, gherkins, tomato and jalapeño with mayo on top. Perfect combination of flavours to make your mouth water. Awesome

Highly recommend, order from here on a regular basis, probably too often haha Food is always great and good temperature, and never had an error with order. Love the hot wings. All staff both in store and delivery are always so friendly.

I order regularly from here, and for good reason. The food is always brilliant, and delivery is always prompt. The pizzas are loaded with toppings, and never fail to disappoint. No issues ever for us over the past few years, so it's one I'd highly recommend!

Go here all the time, foods great and always hot and fresh and not dripping in grease like some places. Also, I don't know the name of the lady who delivers food but she is an absolute treasure we love the food and the delivery lady!

Coming from Scotland I have struggled to find any kebab or hot/spicy food to match what is available up north. Nothing has even come close until I ordered from here. The Special kebab with Donner, lamb and chicken topped with the hot chilli sauce is delicious and the best tasting kebab in the area. No other hot sauce from a takeaway comes close.

Easily the best food. Sizzler burger meal you have to get and the kids love the chicken nuggets and chips over anywhere else.

Staff is always friendly and accommodating Food is fresh and delicious. Gourmet burgers are a must try! Donner meat is always suculent. And calazone tastes as good as it looks. This is a must try place!

SHOCKING AVOID waited over 2hours for food,After paying £4 for delivery,phone the restaurant to be told it was out for delivery... it came cold, shocked at the response from person on the phone didn't even know we had ordered Won't be ordering again

Never had a bad order but the chips are reheated and like rubber, the kebab is freezing and the chicken so overcooked it’s inedible that and then they have the cheek to charge 20p for a bag even though I picked it up

Been told to order from here a few times and was always put off by the price of food and the expensive delivery charge but my OH persuaded me to order and how right was i was not to order from here, the meat was chewy couldnt swallow it and when the food came it was cold. Very disappointed should of ordered somewhere else and saved money.

Gave benefit of the doubt after last order was disappointing as been many times before and been great. Sad to say I should have left alone. Soggy bread, brown wilted lettuce, cheese garlic bread, cold food...also took 1.5 hours to arrive. EDIT - thank you for the offer but since most of tonight's went in bin for 2nd time I won't be back. He came at 20.20 so yes not 1.5 hours 1 hour and 20 minutes!

Food took over 1.5 hours to arrive Luke warm, when I rang to find out how long the order would be the guy who answered the phone had a go at me and said “ why did you order on just eat you should have rang and ordered” well take your self off just eat if you don’t want people to order off there you clown

Absolutely disgusting customer service would definitely NOT RECOMMEND I ordered food tonight for myself and grandson just before 7PM through the just eat app. Delivery was expected at 20.05. I called at 20.30 to be told that the order was on the way. I explained that it was a pub . ASKED them to inform the driver. At 9PM I received an email saying that my order has been cancelled. I called again to be told that they had called me 3 times which is a blatant lie, as I was sat upstairs with my grandson as I'm the landlady. He put the phone down on me!!! Absolutely fuming!!!
