A lovely wee cake shop, the smell is incredible. Well priced, generously sized and a gem of a place. The owner is really friendly, and will definitely be back

Completely forgot to take a photo before devouring them all after dinner with friends. Raspberry Almond Loaf, Krispie Millionaire, Coconut Lime Blondie, and Caramel Fudge Rocky Road. When in Inverness, don't miss out!

Bought the most gorgeous white chocolate and raspberry birthday cake from The Cake Shop - it was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. The location of the shop is great - right in the centre of Inverness, so very handy and accessible - and the shop itself is really nice inside with a great selection of baking on offer. I also picked up some balloons and candles when buying the cake which was incredibly handy.

These cakes were all home made by the really kind owner. The cakes were tasty and super neat. The prices were very reasonable. I recommend the choc chip cookie as its like a brownie.

We had some really delicious cake and tea. I would definitely recommend the banana chocolate cake and the apple caramel cake. The service was really nice and I would definitely stop there again.

Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.

Lucky to find that dinner was available on one of the nights. The meal was excellent. Extremely well cooked, presented and served. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there if you can. Elaine is a great cook/chef.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.
