The Caeffatri in Bridgend

Ate here for Mother’s Day as a group of 10 (4 kids). Not a single one of us enjoyed our meal unfortunately. The service was good and the staff were great but the the food was a massive let down. The pate starter came without bread, when I asked for bread I was given 1/3 of a small ciabatta roll. Although the salad was dressed with water so it wasn’t that bad calorie wise. The kids meals contained burnt sausages, overcooked dry burgers and a mixture of raw new potatoes and claggy mash. The steaks were inedible and came with no sauce, the roasts had overcooked meat and stingy portions. The highlight of my pork loin roast was the horseradish sauce on the side. Can’t comment on dessert as we didn’t want the disappointment to continue.

Absolutely stunning meal. Had the tikka half and half. The chips were divine 😋 the place is beautiful, clean and the staff were extremely friendly . Went for my birthday with friends and family. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and deserts. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

This is our fourth visit as a group of family and friends after discovering this hidden gem a few months ago. Firstly, it's a beautiful place. Full of character, spacious and spotlessly clean. The service is always amazing. Such happy, friendly and helpful staff. They are a credit to the establishment and genuinely create a wonderful atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The menu is varied and the food is outstanding. Fresh, arrives to your table hot and looks as good as it tastes. It's so reasonable too. Much better value than restaurant chains. It's the perfect place to visit for a meal or a drink and it would make a fab venue for any event.

Our second time here and we absolutely loved it. First was a gorgeous Sunday lunch where it was super busy but we were still accommodated with lovely service last minute. Today I tried the amazing chicken kiev burger and it was stunning. I can't recommend this place enough! The food is great, but the staff really make all the difference. You do not get friendly service like that in many places nowadays and we will be visiting more often to try the other delicious looking items on the menu. Two happy ladies.

Sunday lunch to celebrate my dads 80th birthday. We were a party of 14 and ordered various options from the menu. Everything was absolutely perfect and we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Soup was advertised with Sourdough bread came with brioche bun cut into triangle segments !!! Chicken pie was indescribable

Meet with colleagues for a meeting in their upstairs function room then went down to the restaurant for lunch. We has the 3 Corse Christmas dinner and it didn't disappoint - the food was very tasty and the staff helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.

Wow! Lovely ,warm welcoming staff. Every dietary need catered for . The food is outstanding.. You can see and taste the attention that has been taken in the food preparation and cooking .. will definitely be eating here again .. A gastronomic treat!

Probably the worst food I've ever had attended my auntie's 80th birthday party for a late lunch at 3 o'clock. Pre-ordered food service was very slow and the meals were terrible. From cocktail after a second attempt we refused as the prawns were old, rubbery and had freezer burn from incorrect defrosting procedures. The chef certainly needs a lesson and how to defrost prawns next to the main course. Turkey burnt dry and crispy. The veg was burnt and the sprouts may would've been mushy peas. And at least said about the peas the better! On our table left around 90% of their meals, we weren't ever asked how the food was nor did we get any reduction from the bill. Avoid all costs.

An absolute gem. Varid menu and food cooked fresh, decent sized portions of food too. Friendly and polite staff who remained cheerful despite the eat of the restaurant probably being unbearable for them. Would recommend this place to all

If your looking for a superb meal or a quiet pint in a lovely beer garden this Restaurant/ pub has it …. The food is outstanding and the serving staff are so welcoming and accommodating in the restaurant side . The bar side is just what you need and want from a bar, pool, darts and a big HD screen playing all the sports you want.

What can I say Its lovely inside The Sunday Roast was dreadful I could not eat it just lack in flavor Dessert was the best

Been a few times for Sunday lunch which was enjoyed by both of us. A big lover of roast potatoes and they didn't fail. Desserts where also lovely. Hopefully visiting for a midweek treat. Staff are lovely and friendly to make you feel welcome. Thank you all 🙂

Visited with a group of friends for Sunday lunch, was nice and busy, the waitress was fab, and the dinner was delicious, been a few times now, various times, one of my favourites is the lunchtime steak ciabatta too 😋

The worst food and service ever , cauliflower cheese full of water no cheese , salmon over cooked roast potatoes hard as Rocks sprouts waterlogged, never ever had such a disgusting meal.
