Drive passed this hundreds of times but never been in for a meal (maybe a drink once or twice). Decided to give it a go...it was/is excellent. Dog friendly which is always a good sign. But service was spot on by all. Good was superb. Didn't take any pictures but I had the garlic mushroom starter and chicken skewers for main. Delish! Definitely recommend and Definitely going again.

Good food and great service. Would certainly be back. We had Sadie bring us our food and she was friendly, talkative and did a good job. Our main server was great too, but I didn't catch her name. All staff did a fantastic job and we had a very enjoyable evening. The food is excellent! Thank you.

Nice venue, but the service and food could have been better, my beef rib at £25.50 should be slow cooked and fall off the bone, unfortunately it was just acceptable, our 8.30 table was late being ready, when I was asked if I wanted a desert at 10.30, I was past wanting one

We visited the Bulls head on a Friday evening, and we were super impressed with the service and the food from start to finish. Natalia looked after us brilliantly and recommended wine and her favourite dish (Penang Curry - we would also recommend!) 😊!

Really enjoyed our Sunday Roast dinner at the Bull’s Head, the food was very tasty and well cooked, the service was very swift and friendly (well done Amanda!) and it was very busy with lots of family groups. Plenty of free parking in the large car park. Overall very impressed, it’d well worth a visit.

First time here and will not be the last. Food was amazing, we had two pies and two lamb skewers with extra sides and everything was perfect. But all of this was made more special by the service received, not all places can manage both! Billie was outstanding, friendly and helpful and made the whole experience excellent.

Me, my wife and two sons visited here (Saturday 15th February 2025) as an early birthday meal. We had heard great reviews from friends who had also dined here. We were met and served by a lovely waitress by the name of Natalia. When I say she was quite possibly the best waitress we’ve ever been served by whilst dining out, is not an exaggeration. As a family we’ve been to many eateries to celebrate various occasions and served by many different people but her care, attention to detail and attitude was impeccable. She was very friendly, polite and nothing was too much bother. She is a credit to her employer to which I hope they see this review and realise how valuable and important she is to the team as a whole. The food was very nice, flavourful and arrived in good time. Would definitely recommend to others and will certainly be returning again in the future. Thanks for giving me and my family a wonderful evening.

This pub is such a wonderful place to go on a nice cold rainy day it's cozy and sat by one of the fireplaces. Service was fast, friendly and the food was super tasty and cooked to perfection! Will definitely be visiting again. Also loved the fact that you can bring your dog🐶

Emily was fantastic. Told her at the beginning my 30th was last week, and she made my dessert extra special. Very attentive and super friendly, a credit to the team!! Food was wonderful for the valentines set menu. Emily deserves all the praise as she was one of the best waitresses we've ever had!!

A very enjoyable visit with a group of friends. We were made very welcome, and our server (Amanda) was a natural 'people person' and looked after us very well. The food was absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. Will definitely make a return visit in the future.

Cosy characterful place, great service and delicious food also has facility for dogs too. This is our regular favourite to eat and meet friends and family.

Ive been here a good few times now and I must admit it’s probably the best place for pub grub. Sunday dinners here are fantastic! The food and service was fantastic and the vintage décor just gave this pub a warm and wonderful vibe. I had a great time and I would recommend taking the time to drive out and taste great food with wonderful hospitality to top it off. Bonus too as you can bring your dog with you, which I have numerous of times now. Big shout out to Amanda for her fantastic service, we’ve had the pleasure of Amanda before and she always does her best to ensure we have a great time here.

* Updated review Feb '25* Very slow service, drinks took a while. No offer to get more drinks even with empty glasses on table. At one point 3 members of staff walked past, looked at the empties and didn't say a word. Replacement drinks took 10-15 minutes to appear. Even then, the empties weren't taken away. The "while you decide" olives turned up with the starters, which took the best part of 50 minutes to arrive. Mains turned up a reasonable time after finishing starters, though. Had to ask for some gravy for a dryish main dish, the Sunday 3-meat roast. Sweet took a while to arrive, but was possibly the best part of the meal. All in all, well over 2.5hrs for a 3 course meal at a pub that was at half capacity when we arrived. No explanation for delays from staff, in fact very little communication all round. Finally, other tables nearby not cleared promptly, after guests had left. Cleaning cloth left on table next to dine other diners. Have been here some time back and it was a totally different experience. What has happened? If this was my first time at the pub, I wouldn't go back again.

Had a fantastic meal for a group of 13 for my Husbands 60th .The food was delicious and Caroline looked after everyone perfectly. Will definitely use again .

We recently visited the Bulls Head for my daughter’s 10th Birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a lovely warm welcome from Chris who showed us to our table in a separate room which was great as we had a large party. Leah looked after us for the rest of the night and couldn’t do enough for us, very polite and attentive and just all round good people. Can’t wait to return, thanks guys!

This is a pub where you're made to feel welcome however busy they are and the food is always good . Natalie served us and she's a delight, smiley and helpful. Spent time helping us to install Vintage Inn app so we could get discount. We are regular visitors and will certainly continue to be.

Celebrated my husbands birthday here. We had a fantastic afternoon, the food and service were amazing. There were 16 family members and we were seated in a seperate room which meant the granchildren could have a bit of space to run around after the meal. They even decorated my husbands dessert plate with Happy Birthay. Such a lovely time. Thank you.

We went to the Bull's head for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but were seated without a problem. There were only two staff serving including the bar because one staff member had not turned up. Although they were clearly rushed off their feet, the two staff worked really hard and there were no significant delays in being served. The food was quite pricey, understandable given the pubs location, and a little disappointing. I had the fish finger sandwich. There weren't enough of fingers in the sandwich and the taste was underwhelming. The fries were excellent though. The others in our party expressed satisfaction with the food, although it was not anything that would entice us to come back. Full credit to the staff though for their hard work in difficult circumstances.

My wife and I arrived without a reservation during a very busy time. The host or maybe it was the manager? Was incredibly accommodating! I asked for a cosy corner and he gave us the two wing back chairs in front of the fireplace! And he light a fire! Food was good and service ,even during this busy time, was fairly good I’d definitely return!

Lovely meal on Boxing Day, the food was wonderful our server Billie was fabulous, she is a real asset to your team.

We stopped in at The bull's Head on the way home from visiting a nearby tourist attraction. I chose this venue specifically because of the menu, and I wasn't disappointed. I know it sounds crazy but I will do anything for a chicken parmigiana, and I can confirm there's was absolutely perfection. The crispiness of the chicken, combined with the heap of cheese on the top and sauce was just delightful. Especially loved the pickled onions that were included on top of the salad and the fries were crispy and delicious. I really loved the menu and I would come back again to try a number of different things on it. The only issue I had and why didn't get five stars is that it was rammed. Absolutely overflowing with people to the point that made it uncomfortable to be in that space. The staff were overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with what everybody needed, customers were calling out for their attention resulting in a whole mix of things not happening the way they should. Food delivery was out of order for different tables, payment was out of order the different tables making most people quite frustrated. I really felt for the team and how they had to cope. We did book a table as did everyone else, but I think the timing was probably too close together in bookings because people were waiting for long periods of time for their table to free up. I would definitely come here again, if I thought that it would be a bit more of a comfortable environment. Management just need to look at how they time their meals especially over the festive season

Have been on many occasions always had a lovely meal, but was disappointed on this visit, unfortunately my friend and myself left our main meal as we found there was no flavour and the chicken very dry. Edit: this is not the review I did yesterday this one was last year. The review I put in yesterday was that the meal was exceptional we really enjoyed our meal and the waitress Emily couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you for a lovely experience again.

Every time I’ve been here the food has been amazing! The service and atmosphere is lovely. Natalia our waitress was lovely, knowledgeable and friendly. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience and really cared about my dairy allergy. Highly recommended

I can't seriously stress how good my steak was. I've been here many times, but this was the best 👌

Booked a table for 1 as I was staying locally for the night whilst working away. It was very early evening so there were only around half a dozen other people dotted around. Even so, once I'd been sat down with the menu and a pint I did not see another staff member for over half an hour until I paid for the drink and left. The menu was pretty uninspiring to be fair and the service poor. I have no idea if you're supposed to order at the bar, but nothing was mentioned about that. There was also no question as to why someone that had booked for food was now just paying the for a drink and leaving even though I paid the same person that had initially shown be to the table so I'm guessing it either happens regularly or staff are not that bothered...the latter would certainly explain the lack of service at the table. All in all I have no idea what the food tastes like, the menu seemed to have been simplified from what I had seen online before making my trip, maybe to accommodate the festive menu. Judging by the service I'd say The Bull's Head was overpriced and, from other reviews I've read, on this occasion certainly under delivered.
