Good was fantastic. The service was amazing and the staff were so friendly and working. Stacey who worked on the bar was lovely. Made me feel at home. The manager Chris was also very welcoming and friendly . We will definitely be returning

Had to wait again (2nd visit) nearly an hour for food-wondering if anything to do with guy waiting fm deliveroo-cost over £85 for x 3 roasts & x 3 non-alcoholic drinks. Nice chip on my plate

Emily was lovely throughout the whole evening and was consistently ensuring that we were okay with our food and drinks. The food was absolutely wonderful for the whole table of 12 that we had. I would highly recommend coming to the Boars head. Perfect experience

Haven't been to The Bull's Head in twenty years, last-minute booking, and where we impressed! Food delicious, service exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Caroline, who looked after our table, should be commented for her customer service. We will definitely be returning, and we would recommend 100%

Bar snack were lovely - great portions sizes. Pizza tasted nice a good size although not enough Italian meat. Burger, disappointing. Service was wonderful. Jack and Chris were friendly and attentive. Really like this pub 😁

Ine'fish'ent Visited at 12.30, 29/3/25 When we arrived it took the person a good 2 minutes to find our booking..At first I thought booking had been missed. The place was very busy. All of the cushions at the table we sat at looked grubby. Sent a glass back due to lipstick on it. The new glass didn't have any ice in it..perhaps she didn't like me pointing it out? Nonetheless, sloppy and thoughtless. My friend asked for the Buttermilk chicken burger. That was unavailable. I ordered the Cornish crab cake 'with pesto'.. Took neatly 30+ minutes to arrive. Looked OK, no relish just on a plate. My friend said there's something missing. Blinked and realised the 'pesto' was barely visible in the olive oil they'd 'carefully' put around the edge of the plate. Hardly any taste of crab (think it had returned to Cornwall). Oil tasted as if it needed to be changed. I had the beef burger with brisket, not too bad. Again took 30 mins plus to arrive. I had to ask twice where food was? A couple behind us said they'd waited an hour for a fish finger sandwich. (They had a short amount of time and needed to go). The waitress appeared more concerned with making excuses than providing any level of customer service..They started to leave and miraculously food appeared.. Staff didn't bother to check how our meals were; Likely not too bothered.. Bottom line; Save your money. Don't bother, expensive rubbish. They are clearly still in recovery from covid, trying to cram as many covers in, also make as much money for limited output in several areas!

We've visited here a few times and the food and service is always fantastic. I would really recommend the steak and the skewers, both are delicious. Jack served us this time round and he was great, friendly and service was exemplary, thank you.

Emily was spot on. Been to quite a few food places in the last few months and always feels as though the conversation with staff is forced, that’s if they even want to talk! Not only did she make sure we were MORE than happy with everything, but the lad who brought our drinks over and removed glasses from our table, she was very complimentary to him as well! Shows a lot of respect to the team which is always good. Speaking from experience of not only being in customer service but as a manager now too, Emily is quality.

Amanda was fantastic! The food was delicious, arrived nice and hot and with great care. It was a little loud, but it’s clearly a popular restaurant so there are worse things to complain about.

What a lovely meal and a truly first class service from Amanda. She really made the meal extra special - thank you Amanda for going the extra mile.

Was disappointed in the Sunday roast in all honesty. We had the beef and the trio, the lamb was sold out. The roast potatoes were not crispy, they were underdone. The portions were small, the veg was quite flavourless and the gravy was watery. I wouldn’t return for a roast again, it’s overpriced for what it offers. The venue and the staff were great though.
