The Brightlingsea Bakery in Tendring

I expected Brightlingsea to have a lovely creative bakery especially as the baking is done on the premises. Was sorely disappointed in what was on offer. Got a wonderful sourdough loaf from The Fresh Cafe (open Friday and Saturday) Tower St. instead.

I love this bakery nothing is too much trouble and the cakes are out of this world literally, they are huge and very tasty. Bread and rolls always good and I would recommend the curry. Staff always helpful. Ready made sandwiches are fresh and filling.

This bakery has fresh buns, rolls and breads. The service is also very good. I grabbed a sandwich to eat and it was very tasty. They even sell Curry's. Check this place out.

Called in with relations who were down for the day, miserable staff and to cap it all when the cake was opened later that day it was found to be not only stale but the underneath was mouldy. As we had left the area it was too far to return it but it has been reported to the local health inspector so check your purchases.

Stopped in for some baked buns, service and prices are so good. They tasted amazing I love shopping in a small town.

Lovely fresh bread , rolls and cakes . Also do pies and pastries . Also do a curry takeaway if your hungry . Take away hot and cold drinks are also available . Would be nice to have somewhere to sit though .

A good bakery with a great range of takeaway pastries, pasties and cakes. And available from early in the morning.

Very good little bakery. Always excellent bread and cakes at very reasonable prices. Glad we have this shop in town.

This is a good local bakery withmany simple cakes to choose from. Savouries,drinks and Sandwiches, and even curry midday.

I used to buy doughnuts here over fifty years ago, how wonderful that it is still going after all these years. Now it has more selection, lovely pastries and you can even buy curry. Great little shop

Cakes are to die for and proper bread. Would recommend. anyone to try the cakes Service was very attentive.

Very well made 'classic' British bakery products. Very good sausage meat in the rolls. Execellent excellent excellent. I had the chilli chicken roll. Lovely and spicy. The beef curry was lip smackingly good. This place is where you need to pop into for your seaside picnic, don't go to Tesco, invest in a local business.
