Cask ale served a bit too cold, well below the correct temperature. The food was wonderful.

Great drinking establishment with wide range of beers cask and keg and ciders.

Excellent choice beers wines and spirits..food varies from pizza Indian Greek depends who they get to put food on on the weekends usually very good

Love this bar. Outstanding selection of craft beers and cider. Real traditional drinking tavern. The bar is upstairs, but it does have outside seating at ground level. 4* only because it has room for live music yet doesn't do a lot of it. Have to mention the 'Sreet Food' vendor outside the entrance, with pub tables to enjoy it. My favourite bar in Horwich!

A superb selection of ales with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I normally visit early afternoon when it is not too busy. About to introduce food so will be going more often. Also offer a great selection of takeout cans.

As a brewery bar you might expect the beer to be kept well. You will not be disappointed. The beer range is extensive from rich coffee stout to full flavour pale ales made with British and exotica New Zealand hops. Excellent bar. No TV, which is a bonus!

Easy to miss, tucked away down a side street and looking like a office building. The bar is on the first floor and is surprisingly cosy and pleasant inside. Good selection of the brewery's beers on tap and can be tried as 3x 1/3 pint tasters. Prices were reasonable and the barman was happy to talk about the beer and make recommendations. Would definitely visit again.

Quirky bar above the Black Edge brewery with friendly staff and a good selection of their ales. Under 3 quid as well which is always a bonus these days. Untappd average 3.5

Live across the road from this gem!! This is my firat visit and I have to so I am hugely impressed! Staff unreal! Vibe unreal! Craft beer to die for!! 10/10 will be my hiding place from now on!! Cant recommend highly enough!!

Really friendly and loads of great choice of ale

The Fiancé and I decided to walk up Riivington Pike, one particularly sunny afternoon, when we spotted this little gem tucked away down the side of the crown Roundabout (to Preston and Wigan). The ale was superlative and I thought the idea of a cheap "tasting platter" a novel one. The staff are all welcoming and almost American in their genuinely happy-to-see you attitude. (That can be so annoying with a thick American accent, but can be so soothing coming from us.) The manager glides from customer to customer like some hippy version Ralph Fiennes in The Grand Budapest Hotel. In need of a haircut but gratefuly he doesn't reek of L'Air de Panache. Will definitely be saving money by drinking here in the future.

Very nice pub, friendly staff, lots of speciality beers and other interesting brews. Beer brewing below, on the ground floor. Live music when we visited but that's not regularly on. Super Christmas decorations, no tinsel in sight but some really attractive, quality items. Quiet at first but buzzing by nine. No fruit juice though 😲.

Wonderful lounge bar with their own ales and ciders, great service with the owner behind the bar, don't want to recommend it because I want to keep it to myself but it's an excellent place.
