The Bread Club in Salford

I visited the bread club for some lunch, having been recommended it by a family member. The building club had an inviting appearrance with a narrow profile, and a cozy outside eating area that was slightly enclosed, giving privacy without feeling claustrophobic. When I got there, I was recommended the Chicken Taco by the lady at the till. I ordered two chiken tacos, and when they arrived they were quite large for the price. The bread was firm but soft, and the ingredients visibly fresh and crisp. The sandwitch had a messy, but hearty appearrance with lots of differrent colors. The food was pleasently hot when i ordered it, just the right temperature to eat on the go. It was extreemely delicious. The bread and ingredients had an enjoyable texture, with tender chicken, crunchy veg and a lot of, but not too much sauce. Some of the sauce was quite spicy and tangy, tasting like chili and onion, but parts of it were also soothingly cool which ballanced out the flavor. The chicken had a sort of roasted, savoury flavour which contrasted well with the creaminess of some parts of the sauce. What i liked most about the chicken taco, was that the flavors were not all homogeneous like a lot of sandwitches you will find, instead the differrent ingredients were scatterred about in equal proportion, making some bites spicy, some bites savory, some bites sour, and some bites soft and creamy. However there was never too much of one extreme or another, with the flavors combinng in different ways at differrent times. That combined with the crunchy ingredients, velvety sauce, and but also soft exterior, made this meal one of my favourites in a long time. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Monton, it looks unassuming but it has some of the best lunches you can find anywhere in in eccles and manchester.

Food ok. Service pretty bad We ordered a sandwich, two coffees, crisps and a cake. The sandwichs are clearly listed on the menu as 'ALL SERVED WITH COLESLAW' and at £8.50 a sandwich I think the least it should come with is a small pot of coleslaw.. Ours didn't and the cake never arrived too so I went back inside and asked for coleslaw and the cake.. The reponse I got was 'they don't actually have to come with coleslaw, it depends on if we have some or not' with a smirk lol. Quite rude. The food is all served in throw away packaging which I feel is quite shocking for this day in age. Surely plates would be a cheaper option than to continue buying take out packaging? I think it's overpriced for what it is and the service is not great. Won't be returning or recommending to friends or family sorry. Nobody comes to seat you or take an order I assumed we just had to find our table and went into the cafe to order at the till. Overall it is an overpriced sandwich shop. That said the sandwich albeit it £8.50 it was quite tasty but that's the only positive I have.

Amazing sandwiches. Ordered a Bread Club ( Hot chicken, mixed salad, garlic mayo, coleslaw) and a Tuna Crunch (tuna, mixed salad, coleslaw) and split them with a friend because we couldn’t decide which we wanted. So glad we did as they were HUGE! The hot chicken served in a poppy seed hoagie was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, tuna salad on wholemeal bloomer also excellent. Too full to even consider a cake but there’s always next time. Great value and service. Would have preferred my coffee in a mug rather than a takeaway cup but that’s just me. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent coffee spot in Monton with nice seating outside and inside. Great range of brunch items and the cakes are so delicious! Proper homemade and tastier than anything you’d get in a shop or chain coffee shop. The staff are what makes the place - so helpful and friendly. Nice to have a little chat while you wait. Always look forward to visiting!

Such a great place to go. The owner is always welcoming and she is super lovely! The breakfasts are pretty amazing, had the veggie one this time so highly recommended. They do all sorts of stuff so if you can, go down and get your choice of nice sandwiches, ice cream, coffee, bakes etc. Always great service from staff! Thanks for always being welcoming!

The Breadclub is a guaranteed delicious sandwich! My go to the is the ‘chicavo’’. SO tasty and generous portion sizes! Really friendly staff and chilled vibes!

I popped in here to have a coffee with a friend and we brought our two dogs. We enjoyed some lovely coffees and a cake which was delicious. They even had time to give our dogs a sausage each which was so kind. Thank you!

We went for Saturday lunch and it was really busy. We both had the cubano which was good , my only criticism was that the bread was too dry and there wasn’t enough sauce to combat this. We both then had the cookie cake which was very filling but super tasty. I had to eat mine in two sittings.

The breakfast wrap is the future of breakfast! Amazing tastes and so many great other choices on the menu for the rest of the day. The staff were fantastic as well!

My husband and I came on a Saturday for lunch and had two really good sandwiches - lots of filling and great bread (a hoagie). One of the staff let me try the chicken taco filling so I could make up my mind. There’s a good selection of drinks in the fridge, several soft drinks and waters I’d not heard of. There is also a range of brownies and tray bake type cakes - my husband had the cookie cake slightly warmed as recommended and it was out of this world. The staff were so helpful and very friendly. We will definitely be back.
