Ambience - excellent. We loved sitting outside! Great vibes on a summers day. Food - it was okay. Nothing to write home about. Not particularly good or bad. I ordered the goat cheese salad and it tasted fresh and delicious. Someone ordered a hot dog and they said it was good. But the nachos and chicken tenders were subpar. Drinks - great! Can’t complain! Overall we had a nice time there, even though the food was average.

Fabulous place! My friend and I turned up with 2 dogs and within a couple of minutes of us being there, a very friendly chappy came over to us with a clean bowl of water for the fur kids which we were very grateful of. The presentation of the food was spot on and tasted lovely. All of the staff members that we spoke to were so courteous and couldn’t do enough for us. We were so happy with our little stop off and will definitely go again! Thank you so much!

Had a birthday lunch for nine of us . Service, food were all amazing . The owner phoned me on the morning to discuss if I would prefer a table inside or out !!! When we arrived they kindly saved a table both inside and out , which enabled us to have a choice. Staff very welcoming and made sure that we all had a great time and we were looked after !!! 👍😀

Lovely little bar restaurant near the river. This place has a nice beer garden out near the river. The food was very nice and the staff were ver attentive and friendly without being intrusive. There is a small amount of parking on site but be aware this is very tight access. My front and rear sensors were screaming at me as I squeezed the car between two buildings. Apparently the access it a little better by near the Bandon Arms.

A meet up point for our friends for the weekend whilst we all stayed in Bridgnorth. Such great service from the team and very attentive. Hot dogs are amazing and really reasonable too. Lots of Prosecco drunk and a good time had by us all - highly recommended lots of space outside and in

We have been here the last 3 August bank holidays, very lovely food, staff very polite and friendly and prices not bad at all. The place is very small inside, so go and visit in summer as they have a nice size outside area right by the river, you may need to get in for an early lunch as tables are usually taken being so popular (and limited seating) but would recommend as it is always a nice visit.

Hadn’t visited Bridgnorth before so weren’t too sure where to eat so we just happened to stroll by the Boatyard and thought we’d stop for a drink. Lovely friendly welcome and then we were asked if we like to look at the menu so we sat in a lovely spot overlooking the river and decided to both have a burger. Wow!! The best burgers ever!!!Definitely recommend for anyone visiting this wonderful town. From the pub garden we watched the Cliff Railway too so afterwards we hopped on and went up to the castle. Also worth a visit

To be perfectly honest, first impressions weren’t amazing as it doesn’t look like the most foodie pub but we’re glad we persisted as our pizzas were genuinely delicious (mine was the spicy ‘Diablo’ option) and the staff were very friendly too. After how much we enjoyed our lunch, this may seem harsh but we were a little disappointed that the ketchup we had for our cheesy chips starter was, despite being served in Heinz bottles, inedible cheap rubbish, hence the 4* rather than 5. I really don’t understand why places do this, how much do they save a year? Anyway, other than that very specific minor quibble, this is a great place to eat.

Can’t fault this lovely establishment. The staff are always happy and obliging, nothing is too much trouble. The pizzas are amazing and I never have had a bad meal. Beautiful location too. It’s our favourite place to eat in Bridgnorth.

Restaurant with a lot of history located in a lovely setting by the River Severn. Spacious outdoor area and well furnished inside dining area. Excellent food and service. Attentive staff and good and visible Covid precautions. Will certainly be going back.

I’m so glad this little place is back open. The service was great and the food is to die for!! There was a young lady who served us, was her first day but she was so friendly and did really well!! Can’t remember her name but she was so attentive, as were all the staff too. Food and drinks came out in a good time and didn’t have to wait ages, can tell they have some talented chefs and fresh homemade food - even better!! Will be back!! Thank you.

We have been a few times now to The Boatyard in Bridgnorth, simply to be able to try everything off the menu! The pizza is honestly the best pizza we have had, fresh and with many topping options, we really love the pepperoni and chorizo and all I can say is YUM!! Though we will be back to try more!! Staff are friendly and have been good with the changes made due to Covid. All round, great place to go for some lunch with fanastic views by the river and lovely outdoor seating.

The Boatyard is our favourite place ever.We have literally visited 100’s of times now and never tire of it. Food is always fresh and delicious.Ingredients bought fresh and then prepared every morning.The menu has some special Persian dishes on the menu which are amazing and real favourites now.Their Pizzas and burgers are to die for! Service is exceptional. The staff are just so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The music is a fabulous mix of everything and really feels like you are on holiday.The atmosphere is lovely. The view over the River and up to Hightown is surely the best in Bridgnorth. We have had so many happy Friends and Family gatherings here over the last few years and every person we introduce to it falls in love with the place. They close for the winter in October and open up again just before Easter.We always feel sad when they close and eagerly await their reopening every year.They are completely Covid aware with Antibac available on tables, the place is spotlessly clean and all staff are masked. We all felt very safe and protected.  

We visited The Boatyard to meet up with friends on the last Saturday in September.The staff and the restaurant were fully compliant to lockdown rules, face masks worn, hand sanitiser in logical positions, track & trace in place and the table seating was working very well, our party felt safe and very comfortable. Our drinks and food items were brought to us in in a timely manner by the friendly staff. We all had different food choices and we agreed the food was very good, I particularly liked the olives that came with my meal, very nice! I can't praise the staff highly enough, they were busy but somehow managed to be with you just as you needed them, no mean feat wearing face masks and following the new guidelines. The outside area is impeccably clean with amazing views over the river, it also has the added benefit of being a sun trap, which we took full advantage of! I left knowing that it was probably the last day of summer sunshine but privileged to have shared it with great company in a great location.

We needed to get some lunch before an activity on holiday as a family of 5 so found this pub online. It was a bit tricky to find parking- but there is a public carpark nearby for 30p an hour so very reasonable! The pizza was huge and delicious- I had the pesto and tomato pizza which I can highly recommend. It was a beautiful day and looking out on the terrace was a fab view- a lovely hour in the sunshine.

We stop by for second time . The food is so delicious. Very friendly staff. Lovely owner always friendly. Kids enjoyed . Nice location . Highly recommended

Average wouldn't revisit again. Basic food selection. Covid aware staff which was good to see vs other restaurants

Not so good. Avoid the classic beef burger unless you’re looking for a PEPPER burger. Paella was better so one of us left happier than the other. Nice to be sitting in the sun and staff courteous

Having eaten at the Boatyard previous and recommend to friends, we took a friend who hadn’t eaten here before to try the Pizza. The first thing we noticed when we rang to see if we could book a table was that we were informed that we couldn’t book, even though previously we had. So we took the gamble and had an early meal at 4:00pm reminded for the second time that they close at 6:00pm and don’t take food orders after 5:00pm, which gave us the impression that they were trying to deter our custom. Even after we had eaten our food we felt we were being quickly hurried to place last orders for drinks and to clear our food away, even though one of us was still eating and it was only just after 5:00pm. We had previously told our friend that these Pizzas were the best in town, but this time we found it too heavily loaded with cheese, with only a sparse sprinkling of toppings.

Popped in for a quick lunch today and the food was excellent,the restaurant has a small uncomplicated menu and a very good chef turning out top quality food, we will definitely return.

Wednesday lunchtime, seated outdoors (beside the river) and given quick friendly service by the staff. Food was fantastic with perfect sized portions for lunch. Sausage bandari and the goats cheese salad were expertly prepared and we're well worth a try. Definitely worth a visit. 😁👍

We visited The Boatyard for food on a Sunday afternoon, we shared a pizza, chips and onion rings which was enough for us both. The quality of food was brilliant and being in a great location on the river it is worth a visit.

Delicious food, great service and relaxed atmosphere. Nice location I would recommend the olives and pizzas, overall you can’t really order wrong

I can recommend the Aubergine Traditional Persian Dish - it was wonderful. What a surprise, I haven’t had a completely different flavoured dish for so very long & the olives were beautifully done. Lots of people were tucking into Pizzas & Goats Cheese Salad, all of which looked great. But I’ve had those in the past. This was something I’ve never tasted before - and I will be going back again for more. I hope that the owner puts together some other dishes with flavours from Persia.

Really relaxed atmosphere and great location. Well thought in terms of Covid arrangements and didn't detract from really great family Meal; our 1st since lockdown. Great little place to spend an hour or two and try and forget about the recent problems.

Popped in for a Saturday lunchtime drink and had nachos and cheesy chips. Service great and friendly and food good. We were able to go to the bar and life felt almost back to normal so thank you very much for that.

Spent a very enjoyable day in Bridgnorth for the first full day of our hols. Took the funicular railway down to the river & found this gem for lunch. I had the tuna mayo sandwich with salad. The service was excellent & the whole lunch, for 4, was a reasonable price. Also had a great view.

Really nice, quick service and a nice selection of well priced light lunches, I had the Persian aubergine dish which was very tasty and a bit different and my husband had a grilled chicken burger. Both were great.Outdoor seating area is very nice with a view of the river and town.The old mill antique centre is just round the corner and is also well worth a visit.

Unexpected excellent quality food at reasonable prices. I had a pizza and salad which was just how I like it thin base plenty of topping and a large plate of fresh salad.

Popped in today for a spot of lunch, nice smart pub with modern oak furniture. I had the burger and my wife the Mexican sandwich. Both were excellent. The burger (boathouse special) was the best burger I’ve ever had! Staff friendly and it’s dog friendly too!

Prey you don’t have an issue that needs sorting out because the management are completely inept to the point of embarrassment and even comedy. You’re serving beer and pizza get a grip!

Booked for 10 people and the service was incredible-at time of booking, unsure of the weather, a table was pre-booked for inside and out, which was brilliant. On the day-we opted for the outside table and the view, as well as the atmosphere, was perfect. It may have rained heavily during our meal-but it didn’t dampen the spirits...the food was fabulous as were the staff-so much so, I’ll be back this week to try a new dish. Fully recommend!!

Had a day trip to Bridgnorth and spotted The Boatyard from the high town so decided to make our way down and see what it was like. Beautiful setting,on the river. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely sitting outside apart from the pesky wasps! 2 of us had the chicken burger and chips. Very tasty and plenty of chips. Ordered a margarita pizza and a side of chips which did an adult and a child. Pizza was delicious! Drinks reasonably priced too. Would return when back in Bridgnorth.

Lovely place, nice staff, very attentive. Weather was horrible but staff kept checking on us to make sure we were ok outside. Great pint of Thatchers Gold!!

Went for an evening meal with friends and found it to be fabulous. The service was second to none and the food was supper. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it.

A lovely friendly spot where you can sit overlooking the river and enjoy a drink. They stop serving food at 5 pm so I cannot comment on that aspect but we enjoyed a very reasonably priced bottle of wine. The outside patio/garden area is very well kept and a pleasure to sit in.

We can not recommend this glorious pub more highly! Had a trip on the railway and as such a glorious day, saw this pub by the river. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more lovely, helpful and welcoming. AMAZING freshly cooked food - 7 of us eating, we had pizzas, burgers and paella. Not one single fault! WELL DONE AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING A FABULOUS STOP ON OUR DAY OUT!

We called in to the Boatyard on a Sunday lunchtime, 8 of us had drinks and food ranging from the burgers (one of the best he had ever had, according to my step son) to the very good paella and the aubergine. All came nicely presented. Would definitely recommend. The only slight negative was they could only accept cash as their card machine was broken.

We opted for the Boatyard because of it’s location on the river Severn. The service was a little slow but the food excellent. Two of our party had the burgers which were delicious and obviously homemade. Our five year old had a hot dog and one had the Mexican chicken sandwich, all well presented.

Pity they have a solid fence around the courtyard, blocking the view of the river, good selection of beers and food so well worth a visit

I was searching for a suitable lunch venue for meeting a colleague, and found this this gem. Nice place alongside the river and excellent pizzas served. Really nice owner and great staff. Highly recommended.

Went here on a weekend trip to Bridgnorth and loved it. Service was very good and very friendly. The food was amazing and prices very reasonable. There is a lovely seating area outside overlooking the river with geese and ducks. Highly recommend.

Came here last year and it was good, this time was also good. Pizza was delicious, put all the toppings we wanted on it, drink selection was OK and overall was all a good price. A lovely place to sit in the sunshine.

If sitting by the river with the sun at your back and a pint in your hand is your idea of heaven then this is the place to visit, good selection of drinks and in an ideal setting!!!!

The Boatyard is in a lovely location right on the river severn, offers nice views across the river and is lucky to have the sun on a nice day all day long, but they don't rely on the location to be a lovely place to visit, staff were young but all very friendly, the food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it, we sat outside but the inside looked pleasant also albeit small. We felt very comfortable walking in and were greeted with a smile, the menu was simple in some ways but our food was lovely, we had a sneaky peak at what others were eating and it all looked delicious (especially the pizzas!)

Excellent service and very amiable staff with a good and varied selection of well presented handmade foods at reasonable prices. The bear garden is right by the river and there is always some pleasant background music, in order to relax and enjoy the summer weather.
