The Blue Owl in Haringey

I was out with a friend and we were looking to have a brunch/breakfast somewhere in Frinsbury Park, and we find this place. Was a really good experience, my friend and I were really happy to had found such a lovely place like this one! The food was just amazing and the staff was really lovely! We ill definitely come back!

Some time back I would visit blue owl and order allergen free items. For around a year I was experiencing tummy aches which I could only compare with the lactose intolerance I have to dairy products. I ate there perhaps 3 times a week, sometimes more. One day I was in the cafe and asked for the mayonnaise and caught a glimpse of the ingredients which had dairy listed in bold! I was always assured what i was eating was gluten and dairy free. When I addressed the issue to management It was almost made to be a joke of the situation. After I stopped eating there a years worth of digestive problems started to fade. I contemplated suing the company when I didn't receive any form of apology and was made to look foolish. Instead, I finally feel confident to share my experience in case anyone has allergies or intolerances. Make sure you know what you are ordering. The menu and laws have changed since then so I would only hope this step has been taken care of and management have updated training.

Visited London last week and stayed in Finsbury Park. Came across this amazing cafe. We went twice for breakfast and the food was amazing on both occasions. Would highly recommend and the staff and owner were so warm,friendly and welcoming. If your in the area please try it.

Moved into the area earlier this year and myself and my partner make an almost weekly visit to the Blue Owl. The food is really delicious, topped off with really personal and friendly service every time. Really amazing gem for brunch or lunch! 🫶 thank you Blue Owl for all the chai lattes !!

Lovely and fresh vegan breakfast with super tasty potatoes and mushrooms done perfectly for me!! Only wish I had a bigger stomach to finish it all! The green smoothie was also refreshing and flavourful…as was the oat milk latte. The lovely lady who served us was super smily and very helpful…will definitely visit again next time we are in London.

The economy is pretty harsh right now, but other greasy spoons I’ve been to don’t pad out an English Breakfast with a million mushrooms. The Orange juice was freshly processed, but they lazily left the foam on top that nobody would ever want, it just as well they offered a straw to drink from the bottom first. The bread was too soft, it not properly toasted and the beans served with too much sauce, all with one comically small egg, all adding up as a cunning way to cut their costs. I did like the bacon and they served two rashers, but with no black pudding and two massive undercooked tomatoes it didn’t feel like they took the famous dish seriously enough for me. Service felt like it was dependent on the mood of the day, as ever it a dreary quiet one, which one would assume would yield a more welcoming response, but it was not to be. Better value and service elsewhere.

We visited on Sunday morning. It's a welcoming space, with friendly staff and good coffee. The breakfast dishes are a little expensive but were expertly cooked and nicely presented. I look forward to visiting again when I'm next in Finsbury Park.

Lovely little arty cafe - staff are very friendly and accommodating, coffee is great (and lots of plant-based options) - food looks good though I didn’t have any and there don’t seem to be many vegan options. I come here semi-regularly and always have a lovely experience. really nice ambiance and i love the artwork here

A lovely young woman served us teas, coffees etc. We were a rather large group - it was no problem for her: she cheerfully moved tables and chairs to accommodate us( we sat in a cosy group on a banquette and chairs) and brought all our drinks. Thank you! It’s so nice that she was kind and cheerful, welcoming and a great host.

The menu has so many options, really great selection. Unfortunately there was quite a wait for the food, but it was Sunday morning so fairly understandable. We ordered the healthy breakfast and the Mediterranean breakfast - unfortunately the poached eggs were completely over cooked, and the smoked salmon portion was quite small for the price of the meal. Overall The food was ok but quite expensive for what it is.

My second superb visit to The Blue Owl & I chose heuvos al benny again. The food is super tasty, the flavours stay with you & feel warm & comforting inside. All the ingredients are so flavourful, tasty & generous chorizo, creamy feta & splendid eggs. Blue Owl staff are friendly & efficient, the decor is fresh & clean. My family all enjoyed the food and warm drinks. Nothing is too much trouble, including extra bread to mop up the plate!

Visited for brunch and was so impressed at the value and range of veggie/vegan options. I had the veggie lovers breakfast which was massive and so nice. Plus a smoothie. There’s free wifi so a good option for working remotely if you get sick of wfh! Friendly staff and fast service. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely place for a nice brunch, the food is great and the staff nice and friendly! Really liked the atmosphere and the deco.

Have just had Egg Benedict for breakfast 04/11/20. Fresh, tasty but the presentation just superb, compliments to the chef!! All the staff are friendly and welcoming.

I’ve been going to this cafe for a while and it’s always really good. I usually ask to swap things around on the menu and they don’t grumble at all. I wanted to write a review because the other day they did something that was a small gesture but meant a lot and shows what lovely, thoughtful staff they have. My friend got a coffee and got a little biscuit with it. I got a juice so didn’t get a biscuit. I tried to steal my friends biscuit. She said fine, but the staff saw and not wanting me to feel left out, then brought over a little saucer with a biscuit for me. I thought that was just the sweetest thing. This place is always filled with welcoming smiles and decent food. Really recommend 👌

I had an omelette with spinach, mushrooms, ham and fete cheese in this lovely cafe. The food was delicious and service was quick and very friendly. I ll definitely go back there and try kale and sweet potatoes hash that looks yummy.
