Welcoming place, speedy service and good pints. All the staff have been very friendly and good place to bring friends or family.

There are two pubs called the Blue Bell in the area. Reviews on here mix them both together. The pub in the town centre does not serve food. Some of the pictures don't relate to either of the pubs at all.

Good food and service at very reasonable prices. Pleased to discover that they are now serving a wider selection of well-kept real ales than was previously the case (and they offer discount to CAMRA members). Will definitely we returning more often.

I've been going here on and off for about 15 years. These days it's unfortunately a little 'rough' -- some evenings one can survey the scene from a corner table and see visions of what the post-apocalyptic pub-scape might look like. Lots of tracksuit bottoms, awkward encounters with meat heads, casual swearing and semi-violent tension in there but this is of no reflection of the staff. The drinks prices are reasonable if you want lager or spirits; sadly no ale on offer. Long Eaton's pub scene has improved with the opening of places like Rowells, the Mill and Brook, Copper Cogs and York Chambers, all offering decent beers and a social environment. Sadly the Blue Bell (or Bass House as we know it) still exists as a shadow of a working class pub.

OK pub of the old fashioned type. Now company run, with very reasonable prices No food available, sport on large screens throughout.

We came last night for a meal it was hot when it cam out, Alan on the bar told us that there was no fish before while we was ordering ours drinks, he new all about the guest beers.

Obsługa lokalu miła i uprzejma. Dość szerokie menu. Ceny adekwatne do jakości jedzenia. Burger był spory oraz bardzo smaczny. Dobre grube frytki. Lokal dość duży wraz z ogródkiem. Ciekawą opcją w menu są chellenge w ciekawych cenach.

First time in a pub in Long Eaton and if they are all like this,then a great, friendly welcome is guaranteed. From the lady behind the bar to the locals.... very welcoming.

The doorman with the beanie cap does not allow members of the public identifying as females entry. It was embarrassing for a member of our party to be refused entry on a Friday nights because they choose to dress in female attire with arms showing. Formally known as a tank top. When we challenged the doorman he hid his identification so we could not report him. Such a shame for what appeared as a lovely establishment. I wonder if the owners are aware of such hate.

Service was excellent. There were 12 of us and the food all arrived at the same time. And the food is really good too. Can thoroughly recommend the Blue Bell!

Not a good place I'm afraid. Seemed nice and cheerful, good crowd, decent band, but that's where it stops. Sticky floor... OK, it was a Saturday night the could have had messy customers in. Sticky bar counter, sorry no excuses for that, it takes seconds to clean the bar. The crunch came when it took five attempts to pour a particular double whisky. First it was the wrong drink, next the glass was filthy, the another dirty glass that smelled of something other than whisky, so much so the bar tender and the manager asked US what it was. Then a double drowned in soda/lemonade that was not asked for. Finally, a double that was almost thrown at us by a somewhat aggrieved bar staffer. She was upset, what about your customers who had done nothing more than ask for a drink. We shall not return.

The Blue Bell is a good all round good place to be for food drinks and live on a Friday and good bar staff

Good pub in centre of Long Eaton town. Really pleasant staff. Well priced. Clean overall. Enjoyed our visit.

Cancelled our band without giving notice to us and booked another act. Poster up all week and people traveling from all over to see us. Tried calling them all week and they don't pick up. Bunch of amateurs that act like children. P*** up in a brewery springs to mind. Musicians keep well away!

Our food was amazing and the service was also good Coming for Christmas Ricky was rocking it, Chloe was also amazing

Like I said on trip advisor. Been accused of chucking up in toilets. Staff, get your facts right and maybe check CCTV. Was enjoying band up until then. Will never be going again. And will be telling avey one I know not to go either .

The woman who owns this place is the rudest landlady I've ever met. Shouting from her balcony spreading germs from projecting her voice down to the beer garden. Bit of a hypocrite. I know covid measures are in place but at the end of the day she was breaking more of the measures than what the people in the beer garden was. It's a shame as the place has been done up and it's lovely inside. But I'd rather drink toilet water than go there and give her any money or business.

Me alojé en el Village Hotel Nottingham, encontré el pub The Blue Bell después de ver lo que había en el área local. Reservé una mesa en la aplicación, lo cual fue rápido y fácil de hacer. La comida era muy buena, caliente y un servicio muy rápido. Ambos lo disfrutamos especialmente porque tuvimos que hacer algunas modificaciones en el pedido. El personal es muy amable, especialmente Sue, que nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Definitivamente regresaremos de nuevo.

Cheap beer and a friendly atmosphere

Defied government social distancing after the lock down and subsequently endangered the local population and put more strain on the NHS.

Has recently had a referb and I must say I'm impressed. Goes up a star. May hit 5 after a few more visits. Would like one or two more real ales if possible.

When with my girlfriend and her son for his 21st was a good night and very packed and busy

Every time I go in this pub, I bump into people who I recognise as frequent visitors to the crack/heroin dealer next door to me, here in long Eaton. This is particularly annoying, after roughly 10 years of inaction, and complete failure of my housing association, Derbyshire Constabulary, and Maggie Throup (MP), in tackling the severe problem of drug abuse here in my neighbourhood.O this basis alone, I can only give a one star rating.

Fantastic atmosphere on St Patrick's Day, though extremely full and hot. Outside of that event, good selection of drinks and quick service. With a good outdoor area, that can fit a few groups. Slightly pricey and can get a bit stuffy indoors.

Yes a great place to party. This place rocks and has regular entertainment events. The Karaoke/disco every Thursday and some Sundays is worthy of mention.
