The Black Olive in Leeds

Good unpretentious Greek / Mediterranean food. Nice people, good food, cold beer. Some of the translations are a little dubious, so beware. I had "Chicken on the bonnet" - Smell chokers have a lot to answer for!

Been here a couple of times with family and children. Absolutely brilliant service, they’re fantastic with the kids. Food is very good and the place is spotless.

We go out a LOT!! And travel a LOT!! This is hands down my go to place!! I just read Dimitris response to a Mr. Leo, hysterical all should read. Been going to Dimitris place for over 20 years, I'll spare you the details, order anything on the menu and behave yourself, I can guarantee you it will be cooked perfect & delicious!! Best Greek restaurant in Baltimore and my opinion holds best restaurant period! Treat yourself and family to it.

This has now transformed into Unique Coffee but still serves Turkish tapas and sweets. It also now serves breakfasts, paninis and light lunches. My mother was very pleased with her small English Breakfast (£5.50), I enjoyed my sour dough topped with avocado and poached eggs whilst my partner had a fluffy Mediterranean omelette served with salad and fries. All were freshly cooked, piping hot and attractively presented. Also very pleased to note it is dog friendly. Will be back on an evening to sample the tapas which are served Wednesday to Saturday evening.

Visited with friends when in Leeds for the weekend. Seated quickly, drinks ordered and served fast. Nice touches- iced glass for the Turkish beer. Comprehensive menu and wine list at sensible prices. Order taken in appropriate time. We ate different starters and mains, good sized portions and all said to be delicious. Good checkback that we were satisfied, additional drinks served. Servers friendly and professional. Too full for dessert but liquor coffees delicious. Restaurant was busy through the whole time we were there and booking would seem to be advisable. Vibrant atmosphere, quite noisy but tables very well spaced. Happy to call a taxi for us at the end of the meal.

Had a Saturday lovely lunch recently. The hot sharing platter was delicious and a nice bottle of Gavi complimented the meal. Nice restaurant and staff were really welcoming. Would recommend a visit if you enjoy good food in nice surroundings

Visited last night with friends. The waitresses were really helpful and attentive, and listened to my friend as she is dairy intolerant. They obviously spoke to the chef as came back to us with other options. The food was delicious and plentiful!! We will definitely return.

Absolute garbage I’d stay away If you don’t want a pizza that doesn’t look or taste like absolute garbage , photo is old and doesn’t look like what you receive so don’t be deceived!! If you have a problem with your order they won’t refund but will replace with further crappy food and not give a refund. Manager has a serious attitude problem then calls you making threats by his mobile phone, if there’s a problem with an order they don’t refund either as apparently it’s against there policy!! Definitely not how it used to be!!

Black Olive is a Greek resturant with se Turkish dishes. I've been there with my wife a couple of times. Prices are avarage. She took a slow cooked lamb shank, with some rice and chips. Taste was good, they warmed it up, some bites were cold in the middle last time, but that was properly cooked. I took a Margherita and some chips, £9.99 for a standard Margherita is a good price. With few drinks, we spent £35. Not bad at all. Monday to Friday deals are great.

Literally been coming here since it first opened, and it never fails to disappoint, lovely food great atmosphere and friendly staff. Making for a enjoyable and relaxing meal at a reasonable price. My only slight recommendation would be some Turkish music to add to the theme and experience.

I just visited alone for a meal and I have to say I'm thrilled with my experience! Really couldn't praise this place highly enough. The staff were really friendly and attentive, my food came quickly, I didn't feel rushed despite being on my own. The actual food was so, so delicious. I had the lamb kofte and they were perfectly seasoned and cooked, very juicy. The rice was delicious and even the salad was dressed and lovely. Portion size was spot on. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, alone or with others. Thank you so much for a lovely experience and tasty food.

Ordered a takeaway as a payday treat. I was salivating with every bite. We've had a few takeaways from here and they are always top quality. Planning to dine in soon to celebrate my friends divorce, can't wait.

Absolutely love eating here! Staff are friendly and accommodating. The food is always lovely and they have alot of different dishes to choose from, they also have some really tasty vegetarian dishes! Would highly recommend.
