It was a beautiful evening. The food came really quickly and the service was lovely

Food portions were very small, the meat was not bad in taste, but the rice was very bad, it was made with basmati rice, it was tasteless, the desserts were very bad, they were all stale.

This is my first time in Leeds I have never been the restaurant like this one before, food, tea in brief everything was so delicious and perfect, highly recommend !!!

Can't help but keep coming back. We love this place. Found it by chance one night and we just fell in love. The decor is super comfy, welcoming and warm. The service is exceptional, nothing is ever too much. Alex always looks after us and makes good suggestions, his after dinner Turkish tea is pretty good too. And the food is outstanding. We've tried a few dishes, but the lamb ribs are amazing. And I love the pot of Turkish tea, the whole place is exactly what you want it to be, and it's bloody cheap too for what you get.

This place is definitely family-friendly! The staff are super helpful and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable, and the food was really tasty. The only slight downside is that the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, but everything else was spot on—delicious and well-prepared! We also visited another day for shisha, and it was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it!

Nuestra noche con la familia se arruinó por completo por la terrible experiencia en el restaurante Dewan. Pedimos sopa de lentejas, pero nos dijeron que es gratis. La sopa fue la peor que hemos probado: delgada, acuosa y completamente sin sabor, ni siquiera la tocó. La porción de tzatziki era pequeña y sabía lejos de ser fresca. El tawouk de shish de pollo estaba seco y duro, y el bulgur no tenía sabor en absoluto. De identificación no era fresco en absoluto. Para empeorar las cosas, servían todo en platos de plástico baratos, ¡uno de los cuales incluso estaba roto! Esperábamos una buena comida, pero nos fuimos decepcionados. Definitivamente no volvería y no lo recomendaría a nadie.

We ordered fish and chicken the chicken wasn’t cooked properly. Pinkish colour inside and feels like having a chew-gum.Fish isn’t hot enough feels like not fresh . When the waiter checked and she apologised. TBH DON’T GO THERE for a large meal 🙏.

"we went to Deevan for our dinner today, we were very excited. We really enjoyed the ambiance. I ordered chicken shish and adana kebab for myself, while my partner chose grilled seabass. However, my chicken was undercooked and tasted raw, and the seabass lacked salt and not fresh. I informed the waiter, and they apologized. Unfortunately, I was disappointed, and we have decided not to visit again in the future." Anyway we won't recommend this restaurant for anyone.

Been here for the 1st time especially for the shisha. Shisha was exceptional and very good, and the food was delicious too in order to compliment it. The ambience and overall hospitality received by the staff were very good as well. This is gonna be a go-to place for me frequently now when visiting Leeds for sure.

The restaurant location is near to town, the food is amazing and diverse, service is beyond super ALEX is doing massive job to process the table service swiftly, people behind the scene are making the nice and tasty food ever, I would visit this resto every time I go out for lunch or dinner. The photo is just the one I took at the end of our dinner( you need to try also baklava and tea as finisher)!!!!!!!!

Excellent food. Very nice friendly/professional staff. Would have rated it easily a 4 or 5 star. However I’m giving it a 3 star rating only. As I found the waitress’s hair in my food 🤮. My biggest fear when eating food from restaurants. I unfortunately left my scrumptious food there. And didn’t finish it. And as respect I didn’t make anyone aware. For a future reference. Please advise female staff in particular to tie their hair or to wear nets.

This was my first time trying Turkish food, and I had a great time with my friends here. The food was excellent. We ordered the Medium Platter and Beyti Sarma for the three of us. The chicken in the platter was so tender and juicy, which really surprised me. The portions were very good as well. The seating was very comfortable, making it a great spot for gathering and chatting with friends. I'll definitely come here again!!

The worst restaurant ever. If I could give a half star on it, I would do that. The service was very poor and slow. We ordered food and waited for nearly an hour and it wasn’t busy. We have ordered some food and bean and okra soup but they delivered totally different thing and said we were busy today we run out of those soups which you have ordered and they brought tabsy instead.We said it’s okay we don’t want that and took it back but charge fully. Also some food was from the day before we told them because we couldn’t eat it and return as it is but they said no no believe us it’s today’s chicken but it was not.

So far Best place for Halal authentic food in Leeds! Just cross the road from Leeds Grand Mosque. Food portion was more than enough, Staff were very polite and atmosphere is real Middle Eastern restaurant.. not a fake cafeteria. The Chef was very cool and real fresh juices served. Price wasnt high comparing to others

Went for dinner with my partner and the place is beautiful inside, the customer service from Alex was amazing and really thorough. Lovely restaurant, we had a mixed grill, lahmabajin and hummus and everything was so good we had no complaints and had tea with Turkish delight which was amazing too. Definitely recommend and we will be returning ourselves!

I recently went to Dewan restaurant with some friends, and it was such a good experience! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was really chill but still classy. The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. For my meal, I ordered the Chicken Shish, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. My friend had the Lamb chops, and she said it was amazing too. We also split a chocolate cake for dessert, and it was the perfect way to end the meal—rich but not too sweet. Overall, the atmosphere, the service, and the food were all great. I’d definitely go back, especially for a casual night out with friends. Highly recommend checking it out!

Don’t suggest, high prices regarding to very normal food

Prices online are different from those in the menu. Of course in reality prices are higher! Atmosphere of restaurant was dull and lacked character. Food not tasty: Shawarma was chicken but has nothing to do with shawarma! It was even the first shawarma in my life that I ate with bones in it! Kebab tasted nothing like kebab. Basically wasted money on food that lacked taste, freshness and authenticity.

Fantastic food but somewhat pricey

I went to Dewan for my graduation dinner with my family, & the food and service was exceptional. We ordered the family platters which gave a reasonable portion of meat, rice & bulgur. The staff were great, sectioning off a whole part of the restaurant, storing our cake & even providing a sparkler which was beautiful touch. They even accommodated song requests from my grandma! I will be back here again for sure, God bless!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I really enjoyed the food and service. I could have given 5 stars, but there need to be improvements for that score. It's a good place to meet and have tea/coffee. It has a nice interior and a conservatory that you could chill in for a long time. The place was clean and tidy. Bathrooms are also clean. There was a foreign object in one part of the food. This issue could have been made worse. But we are not like that, and I did not want to tell them. But my wife did, but we paid for the meal in full plus tip. The staff are really nice and polite. And did make up for the small issue. The food is fairly priced. I would come back as it's a decent chill out place.

Third visit to Dewan last night, food was amazing, great value and Alex and the waitress who served us were very welcoming which paired with the beautiful interior made for a lovely experience.

I visited yesterday to celebrate my son's graduation. The customer service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Special thanks to Alex, who was very helpful and even congratulated my son. This was my third visit, and the service continues to be outstanding.

Delicious and authentic Turkish food!! We ordered kebabs humus salad and Pide. All were amazing. Our experience was made even better with Alex’s friendly and warm service. Thank you Alex.

Had a very delicious watermelon juice freshly made and they did it specially for me without added sugar. Very nice customer service from Alex, and a wonderful atmosphere. Wanted to come for ages and glad I have made the trip. Will come again soon

I had an incredibly disturbing experience at Dewan. We were treated with blatant disrespect. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, and it escalated to the point where we were actually sworn at and physically hit by one of the management staff. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in any establishment, especially one that is supposed to be a place for customers to enjoy a meal. We felt threatened and unsafe throughout our visit. I strongly urge others to avoid this restaurant at all costs. No one deserves to be treated the way we were. Management needs to take serious actions to address their staff's behavior and ensure such incidents never happen again.

El personal era extremadamente grosero y poco profesional, y se intensificó hasta el punto en que realmente fuimos juramentados y golpeados físicamente por uno de los miembros del personal directivo. Este tipo de comportamiento es absolutamente inaceptable en cualquier establecimiento, especialmente uno que se supone que es un lugar para que los clientes disfruten de una comida. Nos sentimos amenazados e inseguros durante toda nuestra visita. Insto encarecidamente a otros a evitar este restaurante a toda costa. Nadie merece ser tratado como nosotros. La administración debe tomar medidas serias para abordar el comportamiento de su personal y garantizar que tales incidentes nunca vuelvan a ocurrir.

If your bad luck ever brings you there , don’t dare to discuss any requested SERVICE CHARGES even if they aren’t stated in the menu. Otherwise you risk being very rudely treated, insulted, abused and kicked out.

Perfected Middle Eastern cuisine with an excellent service to accompany it. Only complaint is the food took a bit long but after eating I can safely say it was worth the wait. Will surely come again.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars,I would.The food is brilliant,customer service amazing,staffs very friendly .The female manager was sooo nice to us and gave us a complimentary pot of tea just to make us familiar with Turkish tea -she’s so generous and professional at her job.I like the complimentary sweets that they give to their customers in the billfold at the end.I will definitely go back and would recommend this place to everyone.Try their food is second to none 🤩🤩🤩

La esposa del gerente acosó a uno de mis amigos cuando se negó a pagar cargos adicionales. Ella nos gritaba y maldecía. Cada vez que vamos allí están tratando de cobrarnos dos veces más por el mismo personal que pedimos. Este es el peor servicio al cliente y la gestión del personal que he visto en el Reino Unido.

The worst restaurant in the UK ever . The manager’s wife insults customers if they refuse pay additional service fees. And she is trying to push customer because refuse paying service fee and tell her this fees illegal.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff was rude and unhelpful, and the food was average. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. The manager’s wife harassed one of my friends when she refused to pay additional fees. She was shouting and swearing at us. Every time when we go there they’re trying to over charge us twice for the same staff we order. This is the poorest customer service and management of the staff that I have ever seen in the UK.

The customer service was absolutely amazing at this place, the staff were so caring, diligent and offered us amazing customer service. We had the chicken shish and the adana kebab and they were both amazing and tasted amazing. The orange juice we ordered was fresh and I definitely recommend this place for a meal out. The deco in the restaurant were so aesthetic pleasing and sitting outside with a view and morrocan decorations gave it that extra ethnic touch. Another bonus was that we were able to park right outside the restaurant making me extremely accessible with ease.

My daughter thought this might be a good choice for Father’s Day, as we have only really found a couple of truly good restaurants in Leeds. The initial impression was good, we sat in the annex which had good interiors and heaters if cold. We started with babaganush which was good , garlicky and smoky with bread. I then proceeded to have Adana with chips and salad as I didn’t fancy rice or bulgar. It was really dry as were the chips. My daughter had the chicken wings with chips, which she said were good. Her father had the iskendar which was unlike any we had had before. They had cooked and mixed in the yogurt and chilli sauce instead of layering on top. The sauce was tart and meat extremely dry and the bread forming part of the sauce was stale. He had this with rice which was served in a separate plate. Needless to say we will not be eating here again. As it was Eid I refrained from taking picture in case the other patrons thought I was being rude.

We accidentally found this place while looking for another restaurant. The food is amazing, the service excellent and a welcoming environment. Would recommend you pay it a visit. Alex was very at-tentative as was everyone we will definitely be back. Many thanks to all.

Lovely Turkish restaurant. Lamb shank was amazing, so tender and juicy. Platter for one is really good value for money. Exceptional customer and food was served really quick. Nice and clean environment, will definitely come back! Oh and Thank you Alex for the tea!

We visited over the Bank Holiday weekend, and found the Restaurant to have a lively relaxed atmosphere, the Food was excellent and we enjoyed all out courses. We will definitely visit again and recommend this Restaurant as a must visit if you are in Leeds and are looking for Authentic Turkish/Arabic cuisine.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food was delicious. There is only a problem with the shawarma. It was cut into squares and not slices. There must be adjustments to cutting the shawarma professionally.

After hectic day in Leeds withe family we decided to have some food before 1 hr drive back home. Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, very accommodating restaurant managers, they personally on the floor to check the guests are happy. The food range between middle Eastern food some are freshly home cooked. I would definitely go their again and strongly recommend it.

Hi Myself Harleen kaur I love this restaurnent . Today i do party in dewan restaurnent with my friends and i really like the food everything is fresh . Staff is very polite. Decorations is real very good . There is lot of option for food veg and non veg both . I would recommend to everyone if to do party or any celebration keep it the first option. Food was incredibly disappointing- overcooked meat, chips and bread. Manager was so rude when raised the poor quality of food. Suggested we couldn’t afford to pay for food despite the fact majority of it clearly uneaten. We had eaten here a number of times before without issue. Chef appears to have changed and food standard gone downhill as a result . Absolute dismal customer service. Cutlery and bathroom also in poor condition.

I read a review on this place that the food has progressively gotten worse and couldn’t agree more. Meats, chips and bread were overcooked, only good thing was the pizza. Cutlery was in poor condition, as was the bathroom. When food quality addressed with management, she was rude and refused to offer a discount despite the fact the majority of the food clearly hadn’t been eaten. Customer service is shocking and I was blamed by manager for not raising the issue with the food being over cooked immediately as it was brought out and asking for replacement- by that point we had waited a while for our food and were not prepared to wait for a full platter to be re cooked again. Will not be returning and incredibly disappointed by the experience. When this place opened the food was very good but has significantly gone down hill. I sympathise with the waitresses who have to deal with the manager, they were very lovely and understanding.

I ordered a halloumi pide from Dewan restaurant and let’s just say it was not up to scratch. Comes with no halloumi on practically, just with a few herbs and the bread underneath. Chips were bland and had no taste. Service was also not the best. Would not come again.
