I waited 45 mins in a que to be met with a bar maid who clearly doesn’t want to be here working. She was rude and very slow and just wasn’t interested in the customers also very rude and stand off ish Maybe more staff are needed in busy periods of time.

I visited this place too many times, very amazing. Staff (Divya)are very welcoming and kind ,must visited.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere at The Black Horse. Hayley & team, including Lasharn & Kristine are always very welcoming & provide great service. Food & drink is always good. Nice place to meet up with friends.

I'd heard good reviews about this pub & looked forward to experiencing it. Parking on site was effortless, as it was quite empty last Sat morning. I headed to the garden area on arrival & liked the outdoor seating area. My group managed to join 2 parasol tables together to fit us all. Most of us ordered in-person at the bar; 1 ordered using the QR code. The QR code order arrived quite quickly (within 15 min), while the rest of the dishes took around 30 mins to arrive & were brought out, in quick succession. 2 of us had ordered salads & didn't see why these had taken just as long as curries & burgers, to be prepped. We'd both ordered per-peri chicken skewers to accompany our salads, & both were overcooked. The meat was dry & too hard to chew. I complained to the sole server, saying that I'd like something done about this as we were unable to eat the skewers, which seemed to have been left to keep warm, whilst the other dishes were being prepared, & therefore dried out. She took them away & returned with 2 cannisters of fries, saying that this was being offered as compensation. We'd all finished eating by this. Neither of us who'd ordered salads, wanted any fries. I told the server that this wasn't acceptable but she avoided pursuing it further. When I reflected on the lack of apology & the unsatisfactory gesture to offset the inedible chicken, I decided that having to pay before eating, put us at a disadvantage. They clearly weren't interested in a partial refund & I didn't want any further, unpleasant experience, trying to elicit one. Instead, I'm describing my experience & won't be keen on returning. Under-staffing may have been the cause, but I left dissatisfied, having spent £16.77 on some mixed leaves with corn.

Staff were lovely . Lots of good choices on menu

Came back after 3 years. Atmosphere still great, and the ladies were lovely, but the chicken tikka and gunpowder samosa were a bit bland, the haddock and chips portions were shamefully small. (I have removed a comment here because I realize seeds can fly and I generally look in the glasses before pouring) It's an absolutely lovely place for a tipple, but I don't think I'll eat here again so knocked off 2 stars.

Unbelievable staff, really good service and delicious food. Ordered the salt and pepper chicken for starters and hunters chicken for mains. Was 10/10 would recommend!!

Arrived on a Tuesday evening at 8.50pm (01/04/25) on a quiz night to the bar service area being packed away (drip trays being removed literally as we waited at the bar). Food was not available unless ‘starters’ only were ordered. I appreciate it was a little late in the day however we were told by the bar staff if they put through a food order at that time they would be told off! We are local residents and regular customers. This is not the first time we have been made feel unwelcome in the last 3/4 years but continued to give a local pub a chance. Not any more I’m afraid. There are other places to go! And it’s not just a food issue. Cleanliness, untidiness and slow service has continually been an issue for us. Service at the bar was slow. I was the only one waiting but the bar tender was chatting to one other customer without recognition of others. (It wasn’t always like this… but I am going back a few years now.)

Compared to Polish restaurants or inns, they look pale

I just had to share my wonderful experience! The customer service was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. A huge shoutout to Anna, who was a true superstar! She made sure all the customers left with smiles, even with a shortage of staff. The food was delicious, and the restaurant was spotless. I loved the outdoor seating, too—it’s perfect for those lovely summer days! This was my first visit, but I can’t wait to come back again!😀❤️

Very consistent with their food, I am very satisfied. Staffs are very polite and accommodating.

Went in last Tuesday with friends and we ended up staying all night as they have a quiz night on a Tuesday, not normally our thing, but was great fun, the quiz guy was a great personality. Ordered food which was really good, I had the filthy burger, which came with a massive bowl of gravy to dip the burger into. Tastys stuff.

Just had a wonderful meal and a great pint of lager at the Black Horse. A great spot and a large beer garden.

We love coming here especially with such dog friendly staff like Sarah who makes us and our dog extremely comfortable while we are there! We have been coming here for a few years and although the food can be hit or miss sometimes, it is always our go to for an evening drink or light bite!

The pub is really friendly and its really a cosy environment with great service. I came here with a friend and really enjoyed the night. Krishna was the best. She really looked after us.

I cannot rate this Pub enough. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely excellent and as you can see from the pictures brilliant Portions and value for money. It was a little quiet, but then it was January and we arrived at three in the afternoon, but it's already starting to get busier. We will definitely be keeping this pub in our memory for future visits. As you can see, there is also ample parking and a fantastic open air garden area If you happen to be in the area, definitely give this pub a try

I had the Slow Cooked rib of beef. It was delicious and cooked to perfection! My only gripe was that I wished that the potatoes were crispier but my cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Good pub at Wembley. Choice of beers and varied food. I recommend.

On both my recent visits the "favourites" on menu have not been available. 250ml glass of wine ordered and given small glass " because that's all they had left" A simple error in my food order could not be resolved without losing the loyalty discount on the whole order! Acting manager couldn't use her discretion to just simply swap the wrong dish and started quoting " company procedures" Staff also reluctant to give their names for follow up complaint.

Dinner out night, two great mains, rump steak and shepards pie, couple of drinks, lovely. Special thanks to Swati for looking after us.

Occasionally we have lunch there, but most of the time when we go for a long walks, we stop over for a coffee or a snack. We get served by a polite little lady called Divya who seems to be very helpful and always with a smile as she serves us. Definitely, I would recommend a lunch or dinner at the Black horse As it seems like a country pub once you’re inside , which you don’t normally get in a place like Harrow Definitely recommend 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Not too bad the princes are quite high for the bar service but they have free parking space and a garden outside. Some small companies are used for events and Christmas partly . 50/50 for me

Very disappointing, food badly cooked and chips not the same as mentioned on menu. It was a very cold day, fur not on and radiators not on, so not warm and cosy. Only good point the staff were polite.

Always get a great Sunday lunch here. The food is excellent, and good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.

I recently visited The Black Horse for my bday celebration, and I must say, it was great experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was perfectly prepared. What truly stood out, however, was the incredible staff. They were warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a night out. I can’t recommend The Black Horse enough! A big thank you to the such a memorable experience—I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Further to our family "Christmas Day dinner" at the Black Horse. We arrived at the time of seating at 12.30pm. The restaurant/pub seating area was tastefully decorated and with the open fire burning. Gave a warm welcome to a Christmas Day dinner. Which myself and family were really looking forward to. There appeared to be enough staff in attendance and carrying out various duties. Now having said all of this I went to the bar and ordered drinks. I forgot to mention on entering the premises and waiting to be seated. I was told that a server would attend to give us our starters. Which we had already ordered in advance. Now having been seated for some twenty five/thirty minutes. I then politely enquired when our starters would be arriving. Only to be told it would be arriving shortly. Now looking around, I found several other guests at various tables asking the same question. Okay with this being said, our starters arrived some forty minutes later. Now after eating our starters which were nice. This is where it all starts to go totally down hill. I then noticed that other guests at various tables.  Were starting to ask where there main dinners were. One particular older gentleman, explained to his waitress that he had been here since 12.00 noon and it was 2.45pm and he and his wife were still waiting for their Christmas dinners. This started to alarm me. Now I am reasonably patient person, but myself and my family waited for well over two hours to get our Christmas Dinner. Which on receiving the dinner was definitely not upto par as being a Christmas Day dinner! one would expect to receive in front of you . Especially considering the cost per head of each meal. Firstly the meats of Turkey and gammon were not of good quality. The turkey was just a couple of pieces of meat and the gammon was of a extremely poor quality and texture. The roast potatoes were just part cut small roast potatoes. Which were of a rubbery texture and lacking in crunchiness, that you would expect from roast potatoes. The brussel spouts were aladante, when trying to cut into were extremely undercooked. The pigs in blankets, consisted of a couple cocktail sausages with chard streaky bacon clinging on to them. The Yorkshire puddings were soft and not crisp, I also ordered additional sides of Yorkshire puddings as well as wrapped stuffed bacon rolls. Which seemed somewhat lacking in quality and put together with extremely stodgy stuffing on the inside of the bacon rolls. The gravey was extremely runny and had no substance to it. To further add further insult to injury there were no accompanying sauces. Such as cranberry, horseradish, bread, mint or mustard sauce. Now having waited so long for this Christmas dinner to arrive. It definitely spoilt my Christmas day, as I was soo very much looking forward to this day. As for having to wait again for my desert, I asked my wife to have it made as a takeaway and I then excused myself from the table.. Where I then went back to my car and waited outside. For my family family family to join me. Having been to this pub on many occasions, having celebrated my 60th birthday there, my wife's brothers after funeral reception there. Plus eating there on many various occasions and general dining. I now find myself having to write this email. As this was a very upsetting experience. As to what should have been a happy joyous and good experience. Fell far short, of what I have experienced in the past and to what I have received today of all days on "CHRISTMAS DAY".

The service was very poor. The main meals took over an hour to come even though we pre booked the meal for boxing day. The food was luke warm when it came. The creme brulee wasn't very nice either.

Food is good for pub food at a reasonable price. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had a mid week meal, and the haddock and chip was lovely and fresh. The hunters' schnitzel chicken was amazing.

Second Christmas dinner for the workforce. The hand carved turkey was excellent and not dry at all. Good selection of drinks if you are not driving. I don't drink alcohol myself but the latte is good. Staff are friendly.

They do not respond to emails and they never take a call either.I am not sure why there is an answering service as they do not access the messages left.

Lovely pub quite traditional and very festive for Christmas

A group of 14 of us enjoyed a Christmas lunch at The Black Horse in Harrow Road yesterday (December 14th). The food was excellent and the service provided by Hailey and her team was fantastic. We have been going to the Black Horse for many years for lunches & dinners and have always been very happy with the food and the service we receive. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are generous. An added bonus is the car park facility on site.

Had a great evening with 16 colleagues for our annual Christmas meal

Excellent Christmas Grotto organised today! Tables played up organised and colourful! Wonderful activities for the kids. Santa was a lovely Santa my son even believed he is the real one 🌟 This is our favourite pub anyway but for today again 5stars. Suggestions for bigger breakfast menu and maybe fireplace atmosphere to add on winter weather. The nice lady at the till always friendly and warm is adding to the pub’s friendly atmosphere. Thank you for another beautiful morning!

Great Sunday Roast! It’s a beautiful and large pub with great Sunday Roast. I had the slow cooked rib of beef. The meat was juicy and together with the veggys and gravy delicious! You can order the food with the QR code to your table and it arrived in 10-15mins already, super fast!

Wonderful staff as always, good food. Kristine was lovely and was always smiling, and took good care of us.
