First and certainly not last visit. Flatbreads and calamari were amazing, great beers and owner was beyond friendly, they even whisked up some amazing garlic mayo after I asked if they had any. Super dog friendly 10/10

What a fantastic Craft Beer pub! We spoke with the lady behind the bar, who told us the story of how the business began as it’s her & her husbands place. She was very nice to my wife & I. We will definitely return.

We love trying all different types of beers and the dirty fries are the perfect sides for all those craft beers there! Pork belly fries and cheeseburger fries are our favourite. We also love the halloumi fries. Very relaxed atmosphere and they are dog friendly.

The Mediterranean chicken flat bread was delicious, top quality. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and a great drinks selection !!

Very cosy and unique place, top notch service and the owners are great, bubbly and very welcoming 👌🏻was amazing to see some pooches in there too.

Great small venue with good choice of cans, bottles and snacks with also 2 or 3 on keg. Great atmosphere on quiz night when I went.

Visited Saturday 8th April 2023, early evening. Superb craft beer bar serving great food. A little hidden, you'll probably not accidentally walk past it if you're around the more tourist orientated areas; however, it's worth making the effort to go. Food is either loaded fries or wraps with various toppings and fillings, portion sizes are excellent and the food is clearly great quality. Beer wise there's two craft beers on keg, the rest is bottled and canned, it's also outstanding, expect to find beers from North Riding, Azvex, Track, Polly's etc, genuine high quality craft beer not run of the mill faux stuff. The place is dog friendly and the owners are great, really friendly and talkative, they clearly care about their business and deserve support. We'll definitely be back.

Weekend in Scarborough and ate both nights at the belly rub …. Lovely hidden gem, too many beers to choose from to be honest, the loaded chips are fantastic and portions plentiful, very welcoming and super dog friendly…. Small cafe and beer shop. Very friendly service. Mainly bottled beers and plenty of choice. Spirits and soft drinks too. Delicious cooked food - flat breads and topped chips. Treats for the dogs.

Very friendly little craft beer pub. Great atmosphere. Food also good and fabulous hot chocolate if you fancy a hot drink. Looking forward to going back soon.

I can't tell you how amazing and delicious the food is, or what a huge choice of craft beers they have, what excellent hosts they are or how comfy and cosy the Belly Rub is .... you'll have to go and visit them yourselves 🙋🏼‍♀️ ps it's also dog friendly ! 🐕🐶

Spent the evening here Saturday, had the pork fries and the steak flat bread both if which where absolutely delicious. I had wine and my husband had a couple of beers all of which where lovely. Absolutely lovely owners who are very dog friendly which was amazing ☺️ they also do dog treats which was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend if your in Scarborough

Cool place, we had nice beers and shared some loaded fries which where delicious with unique flavours Our dog was welcome inside and we stayed for the pub quiz which was a lot of fun, Would highly recommend a visit to anybody in the area 😀

Great little beer specialist bottle shop close to Scarborough station. Very impressed with the selection of local and world beers and especially the choice of dark beers. It's also great to see an almost complete change of bottles from my last visit about a year ago.

Just spent a lovely couple of hours eating really tasty home cooked food and desserts, drinking an excellent selection of craft beers with attentive, personal service. Our dog was well taken care of too, with peanut butter treats and we left feeling very spoilt! We really recommend you spend some time and money here supporting a local business during this difficult time, whether you're a local or a tourist. We'll be back again soon...

What a find! We were wandering about in te Falsgrave part of Scarborough looking for somewhere to have lunch and stumbled across here. What a lovely lunch super friendly service - we will be back :) worth trying the beer shop around the corner as well

Amazing friendly place. Went there whilst visiting Scarborough for my birthday. Went in the evening . Had the Moroccan lamb pitta and Mexican fries. So tasty. My husband enjoyed the craft beers. Dog friendly and our dog got some lovely treats. We ended up staying for the Thursday night quiz. Great fun. Lovely couple who run the restaurant. Would definitely recommend. Will go again when we visit Scarborough.

Dog friendly. Excellent food. Owner is so attentive and friendly. Clean, good choice menu. Doggie food as well. Serve wine and craft beers and cider. Also ok for just a coffee or tea.

Awesome independent cafe well worth a visit

I really enjoyed going here I enjoyed the fact that I could take my dog into here and my dog could enjoy the cafe as well with homemade doggy biscuits of all types. The staff were very friendly and helpful also recommend items that were great and the prices were a little on the high side but all in was a great time

A quick visit for lunch after working nearby. It was the varied and “ different” menu that attracted me. I chose a spicy Moroccan minced lamb pitta and was not disappointed. The spicyness was mild so didn’t deter from the delicate Moroccan flavours. However, a home made tzatziki was included and helped cool things down. One great thing ... there was a small accompanying salad that did NOT include those awful trendy limp mixed leaves that taste like dandelions that so many restaurants think are good for you. No, it was a nice crisp iceberg that was full of crunch and flavour. Well done The Belly Rub. Just one small thing was that the coffee was not as strong as I prefer - but then, that’s a personal taste and many people enjoy a smoother, mild flavour so I don’t feel the need to dock them a rating because of it. The service was genuinely friendly and quick and the ambience was great. Overall .... a great little place.

Cozy and friendly atmosphere with lovely staff. Very accomodating for dogs, if you have a pooch it is definitely worth a visit. Unique craft beers, and I highly recommend the rhubarb and ginger gin.

Love this little restaurant. A prime example of naturally happy people doing what they are good at, and doing it beautifully. And our little terrier enjoys it too........

We went for the Back to the Future quiz night and tapas.This is a great little place. They do quite a few different quizzes, we really enjoyed it.The tapas was lovely, never had tapas before and really enjoyed it.The staff were really friendly.Will definitely be back and would recommend this little gem.

Very welcoming, food and service excellent. The selection of beers was super, we were spoilt for choice. Our dog really enjoyed it too and munched his way through doggy gingerbreadmen treats. I wish there were more cafes like this. Good luck with the beer shop and thank you for a lovely lunch.

Found The BellyRub by accident while shopping at a carpet store and hardware store. The interior is nicely designed including the loo. Food was very good and fresh. We will definitely return. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming. 5 stars from us.

I visit the bellyrub on a regular basis. I have tried many of the dishes and I have never been disappointed. The service is excellent too.

Fab little place serving home made food at good prices will go again

We called in for lunch and really enjoyed the meals we had. There is always a friendly welcome and the food is amazing. I had the steak bagel and it was gorgeous, the salad was fresh and crunchy and the steak was fat free and very tasty. My husband had the currywurst fries and they were really good too. We cant wait to return.

This was our second visit and once again it was amazing. You get the warmest welcome where nothing is too much trouble. The selection of tapas is very good & the mushroom special was fabulous. We will definitely be back. The food was brilliant.

A lovely welcome for my family and dog. Very friendly cafe making you feel right at home. Delicious food too - great crunch to the homemade coleslaw. Lovely coffee - would like to sample the amazing array of craft ales next time. Just wish our dog was a bit smaller to keep him under the table! Thank you.

We popped in to check out the new menu and specials board. The new signage out front signals the discreet changes inside and just when we thought things couldn`t get any better ! We tried the Meze sharer platter, it was soooooh delicious ! The Hoisin chicken bagel and the Moroccan minced beef pitta are delicious too. The food was washed down with a glass or two of wine and several beers. They have a fine choice of wines and craft beers. It all made for a pleasant meal out at our favourite Scarborough eatery ! We will be visiting you again soon !

Fantastic cappuccino and chocolate cake.

It was kind of average. Had a tapas selection which was very basic but nice. The pricing wasn't too bad. As a one off it wasn't too bad but I probably won't be rushing back as its nothing special.

Pleasant lunch but rather slow. There were only us and one other couple in yet our food took 40mins to arrive. We had the tapas option which was pleasant but nothing outstanding. Best dishes were the minichanga and the halumi with chorizo. Best of all was the very pleasant rose wine.

Fantastic cappuccino, beautifully moist chocolate cake, an absolute winner. Friendly young couple that have the place and also dog friendly. Well worth a visit.

We had 4 tapas each all were amazing. The patatas bravas was delicious and so were the pork and black pudding meatballs. The service was excellent and the selection of drinks was really good too. Would definately recommend. Thank you.

This delightful place NEVER disappoints! The quality and standard of the food is outstanding. The owners always give a warm friendly welcome with excellent service and if we could we’d come every night!! I’d recommend this outstanding cafe bistro to everyone!!

We visited with our pooch for lunch and are glad we did. We had the cod and potato bites for the dog and two halloumi and bacon bagels for us with a couple of coffees all delicious.

We have eaten here as a couple and as a family with our 9 year old. We especially love the tapas but all the food is delicious. I dream about the chorizo halloumi and chilli jam dish.

People with dogs are normally treat like second class citizens so it’s good to find a place to eat which welcomes dogs. The lady who served us was really friendly and the place is nicely decorated. My dogs were very happy to receive a free dog biscuit which is a nice touch. The food was good, especially the sweet potato fries. We were too full to have a dessert so we bought them to take away. The chocolate cake is amazing!

Yet another gorgeous meal!! Lunchtime visit for some tapas and local beers, what more could you want! Eyes went straight to the homemade ice cream flavours, Nutella, baileys and rhubarb crumble (WHAT) I went for the baileys and wow it was delicious!! I stand by my first thoughts on this place some of the best food in Scarborough and cute little dog menu for our pooch!

Very good, found it on Google Maps, great to see the times and information are correct on Google Maps. Very good menu selection especially for those with a Yeast intolerance, plenty of choice.

Bacon that tastes like bacon, roll was buttered & bread that didn't disintegrate. Cofee lovely, very clean & staff attentive. All in all thoroughly recommended

Another cracking meal at Belly Rub, as you walk into the small restaurant you will greeted by the biggest of smiles and the food was again delicious and good value. As i said when we walked in , sorry we haven't been for a while but we like to keep it for special occasions. If you haven't tried the Tapas dishes you are missing a treat !!
