The Bell Inn in Wellingborough

Went for a meal with hubby and 2 boys. Lovely historic setting super friendly and welcoming staff and lush food! Even graced with a chat with the chef. Thank you everyone x

Edit: The new people left the kitchen, so below review is now invalid. Pub is still cool, so pop in for a beer....but for now, no food. Recently, the kitchen has been taken over by some new people. Working on a theme/gimmick and it's coming across as really fun and vibrant. Not only that, they are trying hard to promote the pub and restaurant. We went on a Friday night, booked a table and were surprised to see it was quite full. Menu was still being developed, but what we had was really nice and decent. Service was great and friendly. It's our local pub and one of, if not, the oldest pub in the country and its having fresh life blasted into to it....use it folks!!

New restaurant management is a great success. Delicious Sunday lunch great value. We were looked after by Callum who was professional, helpful and friendly.

This place is a gem, I went for food, and they have a new chef and staff in the kitchen, and wow, what beautiful food. The vikings table are amazing at what they do. I must also add the owners of the bell inn Dennis and Jo are wonderful people.

The most beautiful public house and reported to be Northamptonshires oldest at about 1000 years old. We visited for drinks after a visit to the Kohinoor Indian restaurant recently and got chatting to a local who told us about the pub, the surroundings and the old railway line up the road.... Very friendly. We have returned for food but the Bell inn opens in the evening so sadly during the week, no lunchtime pints. This is a gorgeous old pub which ouses atmosphere and looks the part.... Service was very good and friendly too. Will return to try their reportedly excellent food.

Lovely quiet oldie world pub run by lovely people. It's now our local as it is literally 2 minutes from our doorstep. We love going there to unwind. They have a great quiz once a month too.

Delightful old style pub, met the very friendly owners.

Finedons only pub and what a lovely place it is. Very welcoming and friendly staff. I heard that the barman has been there for 53 years! Says it all doesn't it. It has a good range of drinks, not sure about food as I popped in after 10pm for a quick drink so didn't see any. I would highly recommend it.

The beer I chose was like vinegar, even the replacement pint. Might want to run your beer through the pipes before serving it. Still giving it 3 stars because the pub was as lovely a building as I remember and the staff are friendly.

Had the most delicious meal in The Bell tonight. I had lasagne and my partner had the most beautifully cooked Steak followed by 2 desserts also delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this Fabulous Village pub. Many thanks to all the staff for a lovely evening. Marian and Ian

Great pub. Friendly service. Excellent food in the separate restaurant which also provides bar snacks in the bar. Where else can you get scampi in a basket with home made chips and tartare sauce. Fantastic!

The chef is amazing ! and you will enjoy every meal. The steaks are worth every penny we email the chef and he takes the steak out and keeps them at room temperature before cooking to ensure they are perfect a must try .

Just called the bell to book a table for Sunday lunch on the 22nd March. Unfortunately was not able to do so. As the chef had the diary and he wond be back till Wednesday evening. Not a good start

A bit quiet being aWednesday evening but a great meal and very friendly chef ,

16 of us went here to celebrate our granddaughters 18th birthday. We all had different meals and drinks. The food and the service was absolutely brilliant. The chef did a fabulous job getting all the food out together and hot. We highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again when we are in the area.
