Fantastic place and very highly recommended,I did try to book four nights next summer for the Air show but no details are finalised yet including the Air Show Hospitality for both days of the show.

It's a cool place with a cool history, if you like art deco you will love it... Lots of notices printed out, laminated and stuck up, make sure you have a bank card for the pre-authorisation as they can't take contactless..... Food is top notch.... Would I stay again... Yes

Beautiful hotel. Not sure where they find their reception staff. Rude and off. Shame

Room spacious and clean. Outside space (garden views, plane spotting etc) outstanding. Food exceeded our expectations. Love the art deco-it's why we came. But the service is patchy at best and really lets it down. Couldn't spot who was in charge, actually asked if I wanted a spoon with my dessert! Crossed the car park back to room in darkness- like they couldn't afford the lighting.

While visiting family in the area, The Aviator Sywell was a convenient hotel for us to stay for three nights. The hotel offers relatively competitive prices and is a good choice for those looking for something easy with no thrills. The hotel is styled with an ‘Art Deco’ theme related to the history of aviation. Although this wasn’t quite to our taste, I can see many people enjoying this- especially those with an interest in the history of flight. Upon the booking the staff were efficient, if not overly warm or friendly- likewise with the member of the staff on the bar. The outside area offers a pleasant area to enjoy a drink and watch the planes arrive and depart. Unfortunately, one evening we arrived back after 11pm and were locked out of the hotel gates, requiring a phone call to the night porter. This isn’t mentioned in the guest handbook or by the staff when booking in. We feel the addition of a simple sign on the front gate, with a phone number to ring if the gates are closed would be beneficial to guests. The night porter explained that this was for security of guests’ vehicles, which is understandable, but needs to be communicated more clearly. The nights’ sleep was satisfactory although the movement of other guests around the hotel and in their rooms can be heard. Not a major issue but not the quietest hotel we’ve stayed in. Clearly, this is also guest dependent. The Aviator gets the basic right but never really goes beyond that. If you’re looking for a cheap, easy hotel for 1-3 nights in the area, give it try.

I haven't actually stayed at the hotel, but had an afternoon tea there a d it was great. The service and the food was brilliant. The decor of the place always very nice and quirky and we also got to see some planes taking off and landing.

What a dreadful experience. Tatty room, broken window frame, a view over an industrial skip and many active industrial units that were noisy until after 8pm. The staff couldn't give a monkeys about our concerns, one receptionist actually hid from us but we could see her!! They took £100 out of my account to 'ringfence' a credit limit and docked us another £50 on leaving for our dinner/drinks. I was told I'd get my £100 back, 5 days later & I'm still waiting. No lift, and they put us on the top floor in the furthest room, not great for 2 pensioners, one if whom has Rheumatoid arthritis. I feel totally misled by the guff on the website. Never again.

Fabulous weekend at The Aviator Hotel on the grounds of Sywell Aerodrome. Genuine art deco artefacts from the golden age of flying in an elegant yet relaxed hotel with a vintage vibe. Well stocked bar and selection of gins, freshly ground coffee and delicious lunch menu. Comfortable rooms some with air conditioning. Immaculately clean and well presented. Staff were excellent and attentive throughout, can't praise highly enough!

Sheets need to be bigger, they don't tuck in properly so when you move they ruck up and become uncomfortable. Prices at the bar are variable and when questioned the reply is they charged you wrong. A few people in our group were given this explanation

The Food was okey, the services were good and friendly. What i didn't like is when i rang at the reception to inquire for some Infos nobody picked up because there was an event going on that night. The reception must have more that one someone at all times. Beside that all was fine.

We went to the restaurant for a meal as a family. I have mobility problems I need to use the disabled toilet. However, I found a number of issues that caused me to feel that the venue was very unfriendly to disable people. Firstly, there was no signpost indicating where the disabled toilets was. Secondly the staff did not know where the toilet was so I had to find a manager to let me know where the disabled toilet was. Having located the manager he don’t have to go and find a key let me into the section of the building where the disabled toilet was located . Having they needed to be a code that would open the actual toilet door. Despite the meal being a high-quality, I found the Venue to be very unfriendly towards to stable people and I made a point of addressing this with the manager.

A nice pub/restaurant on an airfield. Great outdoor space. A bit of a squish around the furniture, feels a but crammed in near the bar, but a nice menu, and the staff try to help where they can. Parking is free, because it is also a hotel. They also have function rooms to hire.

Have stayed a number of times and always been happy until the last time. This has previously been my go-to hotel around Northampton. Took nearly 10minutes to find anyone to actually check in and when someone did show up it seemed like i was massively inconveniencing them by staying at the hotel. They insisted that i pre-authorised £100 on my personal card (room and breakfast paid via corporate service) despite me arriving after they had finished serving food and only staying for one night. Not sure what the need for that was as other than the bar there was nothing i could have bought! Never been forced to pay this before. Came to checkout and yet again no staff to be found, just left my key card. Has put me off staying again if i am honest.

That is their Tandoori Roti costing £2.30 each. Tasteless and uncooked. Never recommend to buy any roti or naan from there. They took 20 mins to prepare these
