The Bell is an award-winning establishment offering exceptional dining experiences. The value for money is outstanding, with generous portions ensuring guests leave satisfied. I have already scheduled a return visit.

Nice bar staff. Beer was ok but ambience poor. Turn off the GB News! No one needs to see Nigel Farage on a big screen when they are trying to enjoy themselves!

Iv been using the bell for a fee years, they offer a really good roast on a Sunday and the BEST pies in the world. I recommend the steak and Stilton but even better is the chicken and gammon. 24hr pie shop 2.

Lovely stay. Breakfast was superb. Really delicious pies in the evening too. Can't stay here too often, I'd be the size of a horse!

Old, lively and characterful pub/hotel, serving good pub food with B&B. Breakfast buffet is good but the rooms are a little compact and old.

Didn't stay, went to the pub. Good selection of beers and if you're eating, their great selection of home made pies is the star attraction and they have won numerous awards. Usually if you buy a meat pie there is a little bit of meat swimming in the gravy...at the Bell the pies are so packed with meat that they serve the gravy separately! And the price is competitive. Oh, and if you like them you can buy uncooked pies to take home.

Carvery and breakfast good. A meat eaters dream. Room was ok but dated and could do with Wi-Fi. Not many attractions in vicinity. Home made Pies very good, we ordered two to take home.

Liked- Relatively clean and very interesting architecture. Receptionist was friendly at check in and the ladies on the bar were too. Disliked- The main issue in my opinion was that you aren't allowed any food in your room. This isn't made obvious to you before you book the room either. Which means you've either got to spend money in the bar downstairs for food/visit a restaurant or something nearby/eat in your car. This meant that you've essentially got to buy food whilst there because the food is bought with me wasn't exactly something I'd want to sit eating in my car! The internet is painfully slow (1mb on a Google speed test) as well Which means I couldn't complete any of the work I intended to do for the evening. The bed was also a bit too firm for my liking and the lamp in my room had a dead bulb. The bath itself is a nice touch. The small corner light in the bathroom also appeared to have to switch. The back of my wardrobe was also loose and hanging off. There were also some very questionable stains on the curtains around the bed which were quite off putting. Not my worst visit to a hotel but I will not be in a rush to head back.

Ordered 2x Margherita on deliveroo as there was a special offer - massive regret. Some of the worst pizza I've ever eaten, looked and tasted like it had been left out for days, horribly chewy. Really disappointed as was looking for a pick me up whilst at Stoke Mandeville hospital

Went to watch the Euros 2024 final and will never be back. Witnessed the owner absolutely raging at a girl for smoking outside near some artificial grass - The way he was shouting was very upsetting to everyone, even the bouncer realised and came over to take him away! Wouldn’t want to be back if that’s what the owner acts like all the time.

Very poor from the new operator Serco or More leisure Ltd. or More Leisure Community Trust LTD, it is not even clear which organisation is managing this facility. The prices have gone up in comparison to few months ago and the service levels have gone down, the website is the worst in its class, no information and most of the links don't even work. The staff members are very rude, unhelpful and unaware that they are not fit for the purpose. The facilities at Stoke Mandeville stadium are used by the wider local community and therefore it is very important that such organisations are not allowed to operate in the way the new operator has started. Further update, the facilities in the hall are appalling. The lights do not work, roof leaks, floor is left dirty, heating is broken, staff have no clue what to do or how to respond to these issues. I spoke to Hannah at the reception to raise these issues as the manager was not available and she said that a response will be sent to my email address but nothing has come through, have been waiting for over two weeks. Have clicked some recent photos (28 Dec 22) for all to see the proof. Update 2024: Water leakage from the top (roof) continues. There is no one to take a call at the reception on 01296 484848. People have called for days, but no one picks the phone. It is getting worse. Badminton courts are setup by untrained staff who aren't even aware of badminton as a sport, complete shambles. These images show the pathetic court setup (the pole is inside the lines, the net is tied too high above the poles, etc.), so I'm including them as evidence.
