The Bean in Plymouth

Lovely establishment and friendly staff, but was disappointed when I asked if the soup was homemade and told yes for it to be tinned hienz and paid £5. If you know your soups you’ll know.

This is a long over due review as I have been meaning to comment on “The Bean” for a while now. This place rocks, not only is the menu brilliant (and mostly gluten free) but the staff are just fantastic, they’re always smiling and welcoming and have made me laugh on multiple occasions. This lovely little cafe is also extremely accommodating/accessible, the entrance is wide with a ramp and a handrail which is fantastic for disabled customers. The final gold star I have for “The Bean” is the inclusion of sanitary towels and hygiene products in the bathroom that are free to use it's so genuinely heartwarming to see. Thank you for serving me, my mum and my partner the other day, I look forward to visiting you all again!

Lovely family owned, dog friendly cafe/coffee shop. Excellent choice of lunch time meals and cakes, great coffee and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again

me and me dog 🐕 visited the bean cafe on Saturday in Plymstock had a real nice cup of coffee and a day dream nice and helpful staff .a good place to go when shopping on the Broadway

Had really lovely food here with my Grandaughter. She ate it all which is some going my Panini was excellent also.

Went to Bean on Friday with my husband for lunch. We were given a voucher as a gift ....wow what an amazing place, the food was excellent, very friendly people and service was first class. My husband is coeliac so requires gluten free ....well what a wonderful choice he had. Will definitely be going back again !!

Tasty cakes, lovely coffee with a spacious interior. This is a new coffee shop which has great potential. Service was a little awkward but I'm sure this will be ironed out in due course. We will be regular customers!

A new family run local business was a pleasure to try. The staff are very friendly and it's great that they are local and a small run business, providing daily fresh food which is a great way of bringing in customers and keeping the one they have. I highly recommend if your popping by to check it out very cosy and a great atmosphere where you don't feel like your being rushed like big chain cafes.

Wow, an amazing new cafe, make the best mocha ever and the food is awesome. We had a family lunch in there on Saturday 27 August and it was fabulous and the atmosphere was so good.
