My twin brother Stephen and I had just been to The Shakespeares Pub and directly facing this pub across the road was Bar Stewards . This is a really good bar ,the interior is cozy, lovely decor and furnishings, a sold wood serving bar dominates and the main room and despite its relatively small size there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside in their courtyard, this is were we chose to sit on a roasting hot Monday afternoon. We were greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we had a study of their real ale's and we both opted to have Abbeydale Brewery heathen APA ,these were served in excellent condition, we took our ales outside were we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the sun while sipping our ales . My ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced ale ,a big hit of hops, hints of toffee and a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a slight bitter finish,it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew . We really enjoyed our ale's in here, only stayed for the one each before moving on and for a first time visit to Bar Stewards we had a great time. Bar Stewards is easy to locate along Gibraltar Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, Open from 5pm. Friday, Open from 4pm. Saturday Open from Midday. Sunday, Open from 2pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area

The Bar Stewards on Gibraltar street is a brilliant micro-pub and bottle shop that offers a fantastic range of craft ales and was one of the many pubs we visited on a three day city break to Sheffield. The Bar Stewards has a very rustic interior with a wooden floor and exposed brick walls and great light features and brilliant indoor seating options and an outside seating area. We went here after visiting Shakespeares across the road and went here for a few beer's.The Bar Stewards was fairly busy when we visited and we opted to sit outside after ordering our craft beers which where a few glasses of Abbeydale brewery Heathen APA a superb beer which were perfectly served and well priced for a bar of this quality. The Bar Stewards is well worth visiting and is very easy to get to from Gibraltar Street/Bower Spring bus stop it's a short walk (This is my first review of the Bar Stewards). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-17.00-23.00. Friday-16.00-23.00. Saturday-12.00-23.00. Sunday-14.00-19.00. Nearest Bus Stop. Gibraltar Street/Bower Spring bus stop.
