Amazing food at amazing prices! The soup is always stand-out, and a soup & sarnie for £6.50 is a steal. Must also try the cakes, there’s an ever-changing array of unique cakes. The staff are always friendly and polite. Would highly recommend

Sampled a lot of the delicious items from here from cakes to cheese and bacon baguette and during lockdown a couple of the afternoon boxes. Everything always fresh and staff are always pleasant.

A nice brief walk from the office, I religiously come here for my lunch. I don’t eat animal products, which is fine because there are various options and the team always check if butter or cheese are requested. Their jacket and beans is great, but the roasted veg topping is divine. Always great to see the warm and friendly team on my break. The business has taken care with covid safety, and my only sadness is that on Mondays I have to go elsewhere as they aren’t open. Lovely local business, 100% recommend!

For weeks and weeks I salivated over their Facebook page and increasingly heard nothing but amazing things about this place. In April I ordered an Easter picnic box and on May Bank Holiday I ordered afternoon tea for 4. It was amazing. Fresh sandwiches, tray bakes, cakes, scones, gorgeous little quiches. This place has been a lockdown highlight for Kendal. It's amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Went up to Kendal to get my first Covid vaccine. I don’t know the town at all and was wandering around looking for the vaccine centre and stumbled across this fantastic little spot. I bought a large salad box, filled to the brim with delicious leaves, tomatoes, couscous, potato salad etc which did me for lunch and as a side for tea, and my husband got a ham and cheese toasted baguette which he said was divine. We also bought a latte and a cappuccino, both of which were gorgeous smooth coffees. We eyed up the amazing range of cakes but didn’t buy. However after I had got my vaccine we went back and bought a slice of the Malteser cheesecake and a piece of Tiffin. They were to die for. I can’t express how wonderful both cakes were. Looking forward to going back for my second vaccine just so we can visit this cafe again. Lovely friendly staff too.

Ordered Afternoon Tea to be delivered for my Mum’s 60th birthday as due to lockdown we couldn’t go out anywhere - it arrived beautifully presented and the communication beforehand was excellent - fantastic company and I would certainly recommend.

Despite my constant travel and only brief visits to Kendal I am always sure to pop my head in for a Goat's Cheese & Vegetable baguette and a cake for the in laws. I will continue to do so and hope for further success.

Stumbled across this place on it’s second day of trading. What a great find. Freshly made sandwiches, cakes and pies. Great coffee from local coffee trader. I had the nachos with cheese sauce. Delicious and perfect for a light lunch. I’ll be back

I can't praise this Cafe highly enough. Right from our first visit, the service has been excellent and the staff very, very friendly. The food is always delicious and excellent value. The Cafe also has such a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere that it has now become a regular place for my wife and I to go for a tasty breakfast or an afternoon snack, relax, and also get to meet other locals. But don't think twice if you're not a local but just visiting the area, the staff are such lovely people they will make you feel so welcome. And, very important for us, it's dog friendly.

Great place for a pint with a view and a bite to eat. Fantastic place to hold your party or private event in this large space. I have been to several events held here and the food has been outstanding

The food here is UNREAL and so reasonably priced too!! So good to have a nice place to quickly nip too and grab some food in Kirkby (finally).

Decided to go here for a hot chocolate as we’d heard good things and it was pouring with rain, plus it was meant to be a holiday treat, but we were so disappointed. £10.90 for two regular hot chocolates!! We had high expectations given the menu and price but the drinks were quite small and the cups were dirty. They came with a dry finger cake and “fresh fruit” which meant three slices of under ripe strawberry (it’s October!). The hot chocolate is extremely strong and sickly. We didn’t stay long as it wasn’t particularly warm, and then the person behind the counter let their dog off the lead and let it roam free. It settled on one of the customer chairs licking one of the tables. Honestly I couldn’t wait to get back out into the rain! Wouldn’t go back.
