This was such a pleasant surprise. We were staying in Glenapp Castle and expected traditional fine dining in the main building, but not a Michelin-quality modern restaurant in the grounds. I was sceptical at first and had to be convinced by my partner to try this place, but I was certainly glad I did! The atmosphere on arrival is beautiful - you have a welcome canapes and drink in a green house area with pools, fresh growing herbs and other greenery around you. It was very special. Afterwards, you are treated to a fantastic, modern cuisine dinner that is exceptional with an excellent selection of wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying in the Ballantrae area. Just lovely!

18 Main StFood was amazing proper home cooked meals and so cheap, staff were great we had to leave quickly as my partner got a call for work (recovery driver) but they made the food very quickly for us can't wait to back and might even get a takeaway to save me doing the dinner 😉
