This was such a pleasant surprise. We were staying in Glenapp Castle and expected traditional fine dining in the main building, but not a Michelin-quality modern restaurant in the grounds. I was sceptical at first and had to be convinced by my partner to try this place, but I was certainly glad I did! The atmosphere on arrival is beautiful - you have a welcome canapes and drink in a green house area with pools, fresh growing herbs and other greenery around you. It was very special. Afterwards, you are treated to a fantastic, modern cuisine dinner that is exceptional with an excellent selection of wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying in the Ballantrae area. Just lovely!

18 Main StI had one of the best full breakfast I've ever had, it even beat the Turnberry hotels breakfast ,so we went back for lunch the same day,lovely home cooked food ,hard to fault.

9-17 Harbour ViewOoft! Only word I can conjure up The deluxe seafood platter didn't hold back. Everything was prepared to perfection. The desserts were outstanding also, sticky toffee pudding on a cold day had enough toffee sauce to soak all the sponge (which doesn't happen often). Creme brulee was spot on and the cheesecake was light and fluffy. Cocktail of the week was "only fans girl" which may or may not be similar to a porn star Martini (but we didn't ask) Going to need to be careful on the bumps driving home!
