Nice find passing through Kirkwall, Gemma was a very attentive and pleasantly natured lassie.... made for a nice experience and good to meet a local who shared his thoughts and experiences 😉 I'll pop in the next time I have more time to explore Orkney...thank you!

We popped by for a quick drink on Saturday afternoon in the sunshine. We’d walked past a few times, as it doesn’t look very inviting from the outside. Inside, it is a bit dark, but the car themed decor (hint in the name) is interesting. Slightly ‘sticky floor’ style venue but happy locals and nice staff. One of the very few pubs in Kirkwall that allow dogs - and they kindly and unprompted brought our mini Dachshund a bowl of water. Repaid by cuddles (from the dog not me)! If we were staying longer we’d go again.

A great bar in the heart of Kirkwall. The decor is stunning- a really interesting mix of automotive memorabilia. The staff and regulars are really friendly and welcoming and they have a great range of beers at reasonable prices.

Beer good. I hate cars so I'll only give it 4 stars... A comfortable bar in the town centre. The staff are friendly and helpful, but it has low lighting to create atmosphere? Not sure I as an oldie like that!!

We only had a beer here whilst waiting to get back on our bus. We were on a tour of the islands and quickly ran in and tried the local beer. We had the Scapa ale from memory and it was ok, not the greatest but ok. Don't take our word for it though, at least try it. My partner and I are not fancy beer drinkers, we like our locals not the craft beers. The pub itself was very cute, ornaments everywhere, the toilets were fine and the male staff member was great, had a good chat with us. We were the only ones in the pub though haha. And not sure if the beer line was no good or if he couldn't pour a beer, but it took him a while and there was so much head on it in the beginning, it was hilarious! All in all a good experience.

Popped into this bar amongst others whilst on a night out and stayed here the longest. Has great music courtesy of the juke box and a very chatty barman. Various people came and went but were all good company. Seems to attract jovial people here!

simple pub, mostly frequented by the younger local people, But for us (60+) no problem at all. Cheap, fast. Enjoyed some simple drinks.

Popped in early afternoon for a drink and to escape the rain. Place inside didn't disappoint with really good decor for a motor themed pub. But the loud and obscene language coming from men at the bar was very unsavory to say the least and did not project a very nice image for tourists. We were not the only tourists there. A german couple were sitting behind us - dread to think what they made of it all. Very disappointed that the staff didn't ask the men to tone it down a bit!

Standard pub, popular with the locals. Mostly a place to sit down and have a beer, not food. Very eclectic in its decorations so it is actually quite fun.

Pub donde tomarse unas buenas pintas de cervezas de las Orkneys. Ambiente agradable y buena música. Un poco alejado del centro, pero allí todo está muy cerca.

This review only relates to the bar in this establishment. We were actually looking for somewhere to have lunch, but unfortunately food was not available. There were few other customers but we did stay and have some drinks. There does not appear to be any recent reviews, but we felt that the lack of atmosphere in the bar during our visit and comparatively dark decor would not encourage us to return.

Adorable little ice cream shop in Nazareth. Get your ice cream fix with a layer of 50's vibe added in thanks to the decor and music played. From a normal twist, black raspberry, or pumpkin soft style (current choices), to a long list of hard ice cream flavors (teaberry included), to milkshakes and sundaes, there are plenty of choices for any ice cream lover. 🍦🍨🥤

This cafe is up towards Graham Place from the main street. We enjoyed soup, toasties, coffees and two slices of a deliciously moist chocolate cake before setting off for the St Margaret's Hope ferry. It was very relaxed with a friendly atmosphere, with local artwork on the walls, some for sale. Service was excellent and we would recommend this as somewhere to eat after visiting the town's excellent museum.
