I ordered online but I just have to make clear!! If you have allergies or dietary requirements don’t order!! I left a note specifically asking for them to label which gyros contained meat and which didn’t and we had a cryptic message of ‘cg gyros’ on one and nothing on the other. No idea if ‘cg’ meant chicken or vegan, but after (luckily) my partner happy to try both, cg apparently meant chicken and blank means meat free. For a place that brags on having meat free options they aren’t happy to accommodate labelling. Food is yum, so good to order from as long as you order solo or want the exact same thing as people you order with or don’t have any allergies and are happy to eat the wrong order.

A group of us had ordered from the Athenian through deliveroo in the past. Their food was well over priced for the amount offered and also a few Greeks remarked that the food did not even taste like Greek food. Ordered from this restaurant under a different alias (fit food). They appear to use the same contact as the Athenian restaurant in White City London. As I’m allergic to olives I didn’t notice any mention of olives in the ingredients so I ordered. I then noticed some plates in the images had olives in them. The number they provided on deliveroo was unreachable and as the order was already made it could not be cancelled. I tried contacting all their other restaurants, none of which picked up. So in the end I was stuck with an order I could not eat. Feedback for them would be to provide a number customers can reach and also update your ingredients on deliveroo . If I knew this restaurant was associated with the Athenian in the first place I wouldn’t have even considered ordering. Do not order them, non genuine Greek food, unreachable, and also over priced. What is there to like?

I am Greek and I wanted to eat pork souvlaki. I ordered 3 pita breads with pork skewers. I was believing that the pork was mince as I couldn't understand the pork. The second was from the previous day and the third was fresh grilled but cold as well the previous 2. They had 3 fries each and 1 tomato. When the souvlaki can cost to the company £1.30-£1.80 each and you are selling it £7.50 , I would appreciate better quality of the ingredients, hot and richier in ingredients. The 5 stars are coming from their employees and friends... No customer service and respect to the money that anyone can spend to your compnay.

I requested the veggie lover gyros wrap with tomato croquettes as a side and it was conceivably the best vegetarian food I have at any point eaten! Will get once more, thank you, you have filled my heart with joy!

Our friends come with us only to this restaurant to eat a real Greek salads. it's fresh and there are a lot of olives and olive oil in it, it's incredibly delicious!

A soulless venue in a soulless London outpost. Ordering is done via iPad, presumably less human contact means less room for error, sadly it meant more, as they got my order wrong. The Greek souvlaki wrap, and it’s an insult to the Greeks to even call it that, was four sorry chunks of chicken in a bland house sauce supported by some limp salad. A truly forgettable lunchtime experience.

After work, I often visit this restaurant with friends, we order chicken wings and fries with sauce. It is very tasty and juicy, the main thing is that everything is fresh and the waiters are always attentive and very nice. I like to spend time in this restaurant, by the way it is cool to celebrate birthdays or holidays. I would recommend this place to my work colleagues.

Wonderful restaurant I really love Greek cuisine, and especially Greek salads. In this restaurant, this food was delicious and fresh. I will constantly order this salad here. Also liked the fries, they were delicious and crispy. In general, if you are a lover of delicious food, then I recommend this place. I also plan to try Athenian kebabs next time, they say it is very tasty.

Before work, I always visit this Greek food restaurant, it is very atmospheric, there is always a pleasant aroma of delicious food and it is very important that it is at an affordable price.

this evening I did order sweet potatoes from athenian. when i went to pick up it then came back home did open the box I found sweet potatoes burnout, oily, without taste . In the picture can you see how look like sweet potatoes If would you like to eat that....I didn’t back

Call your restaurant The Athenian and you’d better be able to deliver souvlaki – Greek fast food consisting of meat grilled on a skewer – as good as you’d find on the streets of Athens. What was delivered to me did not resemble the vibrant, lovingly-crafted fare that appears on the restaurant’s trendy website and instead looked decidedly more beige and squashed. I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap, which is a pita filled with chunks of grilled chicken, salad and fries. The fries here are genuinely something different because they are seasoned with oregano. I’ve eaten fries seasoned in rosemary elsewhere but had never tried them with oregano before and they were tasty, so I was glad I’d ordered a portion on the side, too. I thought it was a novelty that the restaurant stuffs the wrap with fries but I later read filling the pita with fried potatoes is traditional in Greece. In hindsight, it was a good thing the wrap was filled with fries because the meat in it was a real let down. After the first bite, I knew something wasn’t right. Following the second bite, I knew what the problem was. The chicken was pink and soft instead of being white and firm. Simply put, it did not look or taste like it had been cooked properly. I counted only four chunks of meat in the wrap but the appearance of the chicken worried me enough to remove the remaining pieces before I ate the rest of it because I feared it might give me food poisoning. I’m pleased to say I didn’t get sick, however if food you order makes you suspect there is even a chance it might make you ill, it is not a sign of a good restaurant. It’s a shame because the mustard sauce in the wrap was zesty and, as mentioned, the fries were good, so if the meat was cooked better, this probably would have been a decent meal. However, what should have been a chicken wrap ended up being only a salad-and-fries wrap, which didn’t cut it. The Athenian is proud enough of their brand to sell ‘merch’ on their website, including hoodies, baseball caps and face masks, which all feature the restaurant’s owl logo. The owl is an ancient Greek symbol of wisdom. You'd be wise to eat somewhere else.

We always ordered from this restaurant during the lockdown as we really like it, but this time I was surprised, really bad sandwich :Halloumi wrap: no salad inside juste some fries which is awful, the halloumi is disgusting, I couldn’t even eat it!!! The sides : sweet potatoes as well not good !!! Very disappointed

Best takeaway! Got a takeaway during the lockdown as been dying to try for a while. It was so good - we had the soulvaki wraps. My new favourite takeaway and can’t wait to order again :) thank you!

We've just made an order for delivery and The Athenian left out some of the order. When we rang them to advise of this, instead of sending out the missing order they said we had to ring Deliveroo to get a refund. Given the missing order was Athenian's mistake not Deliveroo I think this is unacceptable and just meant we had to make another call and wait in a queue. At least Deliveroo offered to make the Athenian send out the missing order.

Found this little gem near to television centre, fab light food perfect before going to show recording, great staff friendly and helpful. Thank you will visit again.

Lovely food and helpful staff. The Athenian is cashless BTW, so take plastic! I liked the the buzzing beermats to let you know when your order is ready (mine came quick) and the arty hanging EncapSulite light fittings added a certain ambiance.
