Chicken Cottage in Hammersmith and Fulham

Food smelt horrendous and I wouldn’t feed the chicken to my starving cat.

The Chicken was Stale. Not fresh at all. I have been sick for a week. Don't ever buy this place . It's triple

I recently visited this fast food place, and it was an appalling experience . The customer service was abysmal; the staff were rude including the owner who stood at the counter eye bawling everyone in a very intimidating way. Please read previous reviews and it will give you an idea on the quality of food and clueless rude staff this establishment employs but then dealing with the owner I am not even surprised. Very unhelpful, and seemed entirely disinterested in providing any level of service. I understand takeaways aren't where you expect any customer service but this place takes it to the next level. The take away next door was much better. The food looked equally terrible and the kitchen area appeared unclean. I strongly advise against dining at joke of take away. There are plenty of other establishments that prioritize cleanliness and customer satisfaction. Avoid this place at all costs.

I went to this place and I swear to god bossman went out with a bag of bread and came back with a pigeon from the park opposite not only that but he took it to the kitchen. Even from the way he held down the pigeon you can tell he’s done it before. I left the food and cut whiilst gagging.

Never again, I went there late at night as it was the only place open. The chicken fillet burger was stiff, wings stale. Haven't been feeling good since, and this was two days ago. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered a wing meal, wings tasted stale, dry and salty, for the price you pay it’s a joke. The food isn’t fresh at all. The staff member wasn’t very accommodating and insisted on cash payments or a minimum £5 card spend. Don’t waste your time coming here.

I order through Deliveroo half of grilled Piri Piri chicken with Piri Piri chips and a drink, also some hot chicken wings. The chicken was not cooked well, still very rare, pink inside and tasted horrible. The chips were very salted, and I couldn't eat anything, as the spicy wings tasted very funny. I wouldn't recommend this place. Paid about £20 for nothing. 😒. I'm very disappointed as I used to like chicken Cottage Well, no anymore! The only good thing was the timing, as it was delivered in the 25mts they promised. 😠 😡 😠 😡 😮

The food could be improved but okay for the price. The environment needs improvement, the shop is newly renovated, but chairs are in worse condition and also placed very close, making them uncomfortable to sit. We ordered Peri peri mighty deal £14.99. Quantity was good, but taste was all right.

What a disgusting place to go for your fried chicken . I wish I could take pictures of the chicken I bought from there today . I don’t know which grade chicken they are using it was all yellow from inside . And they using the cheapest oil and the cheapest fries . Please avoid this place . And what was cherry on the cake the horrible customer service of the person on the counter . I would definitely advice the council to inspect there chicken .

I’ve lived in Shepherds Bush for 4 years. When the queen died and all sport was cancelled, 2 friends and I decided to take 3 spicy wings from every chicken shop on Uxbridge Road to finally conclude which is the best chicken in the area out of around 8 options. We ranked each shop on taste, price, service, ambiance and decor. Chicken Cottage came out on top and since then I’ve only been here for the last year and it’s never disappointed. The research speaks for itself. I’m leaving the area and wanted to leave this review so others don’t need to take the time and money it took me to find the answer. Your answer is the Cottage.

Order took more than an hour to arrive for just a chicken wrap, when I got it, the wrap was freezing cold and fries were oily and stale, my first and last time to order

This shop displays pictures of the shop next-door's menu items next to low prices, illustrated with the exact same photographs modified using Photoshop, in order to poach its customers, when in-fact they don't sell these items & the equivalent items are significantly more expensive.

Good value for money. Highly recommend the chicken strips meal, often go with the guys on match days to QPR.

Ordered on their site and it was absolutely awful it took 2 hours and a half for them to bring the food nobody picks up the bloody phone I’m 7 months pregnant and starving and they didn’t even bother to show any remorse! Don’t bother

We attended this place today for the 1st time and it’s the last time very poor attitude by the owner and staff and quality of food is well below average. Health and hygiene need to investigate this place as it’s clearly one of the most filthy places to eat. Avoid at all cost

The Energy of the place is very low. The guy on the till never smile just count the money give you change and sometime when he had a good night he can say Thank you. If one of his Country people arrive in the shop he is Loud as he can be and laugh just as he dosen't care who is there. Once i complain about the seats all of were need to upolstering all full of holes. After sometime now its fixed. The provision its no good nrither bad as they a frequently busy they judt don't care who wants to eat in. I will not be surprised to see something strange coming from the kitchen to the eating area. Its very very ugly place. There is a place called thesame name in Fulham and its thesame chain. What a difference it has even a sink to wash your hands just like the one at Ladbroke Road.

Burnt a wrap on my first visit. On my second visit ordering on just eat we asked for no mayonnaise in the bbq burger and in big bold writing on the receipt it says no Mayo, they then but 3 tubs of mayonnaise in the burger. We then went to the restaurant to get a replacement burger and the man on the front desk decided to shout and argue instead of just replacing the burger, he then offered Capri suns as if this was a good replacement for not being allergen aware even with a poster on their wall.

Been going here since I was 7. I'm now 23 and the staff here have always been extremely friendly, always helpful and the food is always a great alternative to KFC. 👌👌👌

Chicken was succulent service was good chips cooked to perfection and meal deal was a good price value for money must return soon.

I was a bit nervous coming here at first but compared to another well known chicken brand, CC are streets ahead. Superb tasting chicken. My wrap was lovely, great chips with a can of pop, all for £3.70. Bargain. Full as well. No frills environment , basic but clean. Limited seating area but for fast well cooked tasty chicken, you can’t do better. Will be back

It looks as though it's been taken over by independent people no uniforms at the back of the kitchen there is black plastic covers even the peri peri wings tasted different. Not the best chicken cottage that I've been to.

Uniformed, efficient and quick service. Staff work hard to ensure the chips are crunchy, yellow and fresh. Chicken is superb, aromatic and savoury with a kick of spice. Affordable and seating is spacious, clean and vibrant.

Lovely BBQ wings... simply delicious! The food is very good value. One of the better chicken shops around. Stays open late on Saturdays so after nigjt oit u an always grt a snack of something tasty on your way home. Friendly staff too.

The day time guy always charges me extra for good chicken grilled its normally £4 a meal he charges xtra £2 which is unexecptable and its my 5 time here so dont know why he does it very uneducated for the sake of 2 pounds

I didnt really like this food as I ordered for barbeque wings and the barbeque wings tasted unusual I didnt taste any barbeque on the wings i only could taste something unusual. However they were really kind to the customers

For me, Chicken Cottage is an inconsistent brand. Some branches are clean and offer tasty fried/BBQ chicken, wings and burgers, whilst others are varyingly inferior and best avoided. Although they are a chain fast food outlet, their chicken recipe seems to vary from outlet to outlet, as does their menu. This means that, in my experience, no two outlets are the same and this can be frustrating. Also, hygiene standards can be an issue at some branches - thank God for the new Food Hygiene Standard badges displayed in shopfront windows. It is a fast food outlet and perhaps I should not expect too much, but generally speaking, the staff really need better customer service training. They really need to focus on quality standards and consistency. With a little effort, this brand could actually do very well as they offer some really good flavour combinations and good value for money. This is a good branch and offers surprisingly cheap meal deals and tasty fried chicken. I love the spicy wings. Considering how busy it is, it is clean and tidy. Halal.
