great spot for a private paarty. All the staff were very helpful setting up the room for our party. Bar staff were great and the buffet food was plentiful and hot, the DJ hit all the right music for our age group and a great time was had by all. No hesitation recommending this place.

I have been here quite a few times for function dinners and I have never been disappointed with the meals or the service. Every meal has been delicious, well presented and hot. Not like a lot of other places with functions where its just slapped down in front of you. Meals are flavoursome and plentiful. Always look forward to an annual Christmas Dinner here because I know I'm going to enjoy it. Staff are friendly, place is always clean and tidy. Definitely recommend a visit!! Keep up the good work!

Called in with friends on Saturday night. Starters and meals were first class. Staff very attentive and friendly. Will be back!!

Oh my goodness wat can i say, another fabulous meal here tonight, there where 6 of us and no one had an complaints, the meals where great portions and very tasty. We were celebrating a birthday and were not disappointed, the staff where brilliant and couldn't do enough to make sure it all went smoothly, they even joined in the celebrations singing with us. Once again thanks to the staff especially Janice and Alan the owners of the restaurant

Le dije a la camarera, ella dijo que lo decirle, (quien ella es) no se disculparon por la camarera y cuando la ley fue presentada ninguna mención del pelo y otra vez ofrecieron ninguna disculpa. No hay descuento y el precio completo fue cargado en la factura. No volveré.

Had been here once before for xmas dinner last December so decided to visit again. Great staff, very reasonable prices & great food. Big well cooked portions you coudn't fault. Definately recommend & will be returning here again soon!

Sorry but just read the review's. Food,staff, locations and taste all first class.But people think it's a rugby club. NO, go past the bar which bye the is fine! to the next room or go in bye the main door of the restaurant down the side of the bar and feel the welcome and pick your first class meal. With-in reason if you don't see it ask. Janet or Alan will help,plus the good staff. But the food IS real good. Enjoy (I know U will)😉

My husband and I went here on the back of good reports from friends who had already visited The Albany. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful from the get go. The food was delicious. If you are looking for good home cooked food and plenty of it this is the place to go. We had stuffed potato skins for starters and one portion was enough for two. Our main course was Sizzling Chicken with pepper sauce and my husband had the Sizzling Pork. Included in the price were two side dishes. We were so stuffed we couldn't eat desert, which by the way sounded lovely. Maybe next time and there will be a next time. Price wise it was very reasonable, starter two main meals, two beer and a soda water and lime all for £31.00. So all in all a very enjoyable meal at a great price I look forward to going again.

My wife and I had Sunday dinner here and what a nice surprise. We rang earlier in the day to book as it can get busy. This restaurant sits within Carrickfergus Rugby Club, and as we hadn't visited it before we didn't really known what to expect, was it going to be full of Club members, visitors watching a game, noisy etc.... but no, the Albany sits towards the rear of the main entrance through the bar in a quiet location. Upon entry we were greeted rather informally by a waitress who mentioned that as the busy period was over, we could avail of any table that was unoccupied. As we sat down I noticed the "Sunday special" menu upon the table and so we had a look at what was on offer. A " 3 course meal" for £15 per person is really excellent value, so we both made our selections from this menu and ordered some drinks. My wife had Vegetable Soup (starter) and Turkey & Ham with Stuffing and all the trimmings (Mains), I had Goats Cheese Tart (starter) and likewise same "mains" as my wife. The food was well presented, HOT and "plentiful". When it came to the Puddings, my wife declined as she said there was "no room" to be had for it, she was fully satisfied with all she had. I on the other hand had "Banoffee pie" with Ice Cream but could only manage to eat "half" of a rather plentiful plate. All in all a rather nice experience in an "informal" setting with good food, excellent staff. Well worth a visit.

Have been a few times,and will be MORE. Always made to feel welcome, Always leave feeling happy, Always leave feeling I've got good value for my money. And nearley always leave with a kiss,not from Alan but Janice. Keep up the good work. And the good food and great crack all round.

What can I say about the Albany that hasn't been already said, food was first class, service first class, and the staff first class. If ever in Carrickfergus seek out this hidden gem you won't be disappointed.

Took my Girlfriend valentines, fantastic service, fantastic food and a great night there was a good variety on the menu and the staff are lovely and portions generous would highly recommend to all!

Well how can I put it into words! 1st the friendly staff, Alan and the waitresses in front of house were exceptional, made me and my partner feel at home, glass was never empty with bubbly and made sure we had table we want even...

Regularly eat here as we know it will always be good food in a warm friendly atmosphere. Nothing is ever a problem for the staff and it's excellent value for money.

Have been to The Albany a few times and it never fails to disappoint. The Restaurant has a lovely ambience, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the food is just amazing and very good value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending.

Carrick has been crying out for a large fry that is decent. Here you can either sit in the bar or the restaurant and enjoy a great meal at a reasonable price. I highly recommend trying here for yourself

Just enjoyed our end of term lunch at this excellent establishment. The food, service and value for money, were second to none. Complimentary tea and coffee at the end of the meal was alvery well received.
