The food was amazing , I would recommend sweet and sour chicken . The service was great , they were really nice and always got you what you needed . The restaurant itself was beautiful and one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to .

Terrible experience with the service. We went without booking. The waiter said it was fully booked. However, the whole restaurant was empty at all. I tried to book a table online for a slot in 15 min and it confirmed immediately. Very bad experience in Valentine’s Day.

We were referred to this restaurant by a friend. Food is refreshing and there is authentic Thai food. We loved various starters as well as main. I recommend Tom Yam soup here.

Had a lovely experience at this restaurant, the venue is clean, friendly, warm, and looks very aesthetically pleasing. The starters are well worth the money, we got the salt and pepper tofu and fresh spring roll. For mains we got a Pad Thai and two Spicy Thai Flat Noodles. The two chilli rating definitely lives up to the spice and packs a punch so do be wary. The location is 7 minute walk from Richmond station and is located on the high street. Overall a lovely experience

Lovely reasonably priced food and friendly staff

This is the 6th or 7th time we’ve been here and still we are continuously blown away. The food is incredible and the service is even better. If you haven’t had the Satay chicken you are missing out! This place has to be on your list if you’re visiting Richmond!

First time eating at Raitakai Richmond the staff are friendly and the food from starters and main was very nice and great flavor and good representation. I definitely recommend and I will eat here again. I would also recomined Seanass Chilli lemon, Soft shell crab stir-fried yellow curry with crispy bread,Duck Leg Krapao,Grilled Lamb Salad.

We visited this lovely restaurant after venturing through kew gardens and it was an absolute joy. The food was exquisite, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was warm whilst also fascinating. I would 100% recommend to anyone in the area.

We had a great meal here last night. Massaman curry was delicious, as was the aubergine and seabass, we also had a selection of starters, which were great. Service was attentive, and everyone we spoke to was friendly. The food arrived in good time, and each plate was prepared with taste. We didn't find any of the food overly spicey as some of the reviews suggest. The menu was clear in terms of spice levels. The decore was nice, and the blosom trees were a great photo op, although i didn't take my phone out. We will be going back for sure.

Raitakrai is probably the best Thai food establishment in London, and with London being so big that is truly saying something. I had the pleasure of meeting the manager who is very likeable. The interior is very nice and the seating is very comfortable. Out of all of the food places I have been to, this one truly takes the biscuit

I ordered from here for the first time as they had mango sticky rice which I craved. I was not disappointed! Lovely warm sticky rice, with tasty ripe mango slices and coconut milk on top. Perfect. (I was thankful it did not come with ice cream as another review mentioned) I also ordered prawn pad thai which was ok but lacked bit in flavour and spice to be honest. Good portion though. Will give this place another try for the mango sticky rice.

The worst Thai food I have ever had. This is the first time I have tried Raitakrai, only choosing it over my normal local Thai restaurants as they had Mango Sticky Rice on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Tom Kha soup which tasted incredibly sweet (bizarre!) and the chicken was overcooked. Followed by the spicy flat noodles which were beyond average and spicy to the point of it ruining the dish (coming from someone that likes spice). Then I got to the Mango Sticky Rice which was not worth eating. I get that the rice is meant to be sticky but it’s not meant to be one big congealed ball of rice that’s rock solid. The Mango was stringy and soapy so not quality mango and to top it off it had none of the traditional coconut cream sauce but instead it came with a ball of vanilla ice cream. To summarise - don’t waste your money you’ll be sorely disappointed. Far better choices for Thai in Richmond

As first times go, this was a great spot. Food was awesome, staff were friendly, and the beers weren't bad at all. Food was good quality!

Was going to host a party here, but after reading all the reviews especially ones on spiciness, allergies, food portion sizes, prices and general poor service, decided not to.

I’ve been here a few times for the lunch deal, which despite its increase in price, seems reasonable in terms of quality and quantity. Decided to bring the family here for a dinner and we were incredibly disappointed. We got the deluxe platter for 2 people, which had insufficient quantity of starters and of poor quality. The kra pao had far too much chilli to enjoy, yes it has 3 chillies but there were more chillies than rice. The massaman curry had 2 chillies and was not spicy, although tasted good. The pad thai did not taste good, the vegetarian version only had a few pieces of tofu and the prawn had not many prawns. Overall quite disappointed with Raitakrai, not even sure we would come here for lunch again after this.

Is not authentic Thai food minced pork with rice is too salty and the chicken satay the chicken is sour because of the Chicken marinated for too long causes it to become sour and red… the tonyam soup too sour not spicy…… but service is good only the food….. bad experience

Friends catch up and we decided to try somewhere new and we were not disappointed. This restaurant has great ambience, food and service. The portion sizes were generous and food was tasty. What more could you ask for.

All 5-Stars... Highly recommended Thai restaurant in Richmond... Close to Kew Gardens (Victoria Gate). Recommended dishes : Green curry (beef), raitakrai fried rice, pad thai, etc. There was no menu for kids. But you can ask for a special request, such as pad thai without vegetables, etc. The service was excellent. Toilets are clean.

Visited a few times in Richmond after going to their establishment in Earls Court. The food is just the same in taste and quality. Only small issue was both times in Richmond they didn’t have the salmon available. Would recommend.

We‘ve ordered the Dim Sum, Satay and Pad Thai and all three were very bland, the Pad Thai was missing spices at all. Not the best Thai food I’ve had.

We found this place by accident. Enjoyed everything. Returned with friends as soon as we had an excuse. New most favourite place. Delightful. Delicious. Helps if you are familiar with Thai cuisine . Of course staff are very helpful and will advise .

My wife and I came here for our 4th year wedding anniversary, we were welcomed in and were taken to a specially set up booth by the Manager, the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere romantic. The food was all so good and when I ordered dessert the manager made it so special by coming out personally, with a candle in the dessert and made my wife and I feel so special on our big day. I would highly recommend anyone to eat here.

Perhaps it was just the dishes we chose, but it felt very much like the food had been assembled from pre-cooked sauces, meats etc. Hot food arrived lukewarm, but summer rolls ice cold. I got the sense that they had been pre-rolled and kept in fridge. Service friendly, reasonable prices.

The area has a good range of Asian restaurants, we chose Raitakrai and wasn't disappointed. The decour is pretty, stylish and really gives that Asian feel. Service was excellent. I opted for the grilled Sirloin which was juicy, succulent and delicious. Also recommend the green tea ice cream to follow.

Had dinner with a friend here. I've had great margarita cocktails here in the past and new cocktail mixologist, Henry, had been well trained! I have tried a variety of dishes at this restaurant. This time, I had the Taro fried rice, which was too heavy for me, containing cashews as described but also potato. I have had delicious noodle and other rice dishes. Well located - not far from Richmond train/tube station.

Raitakrai Thai such a lovely atmosphere and very reasonably priced. But the food was really over the top. And when it says spicy 🌶️ in the menu you better believe it. It’s really spicy. Beautiful ambience.

Shocked at the reviews here. Tastes maybe slightly better than a random high street thai. Charges like they are something special. Barely had enough rice to fill a spoon.

Good people good food but massively overpriced for what it is. I mean £16 for a king prawn pad Thai that had 3 small (not king sized) prawns in it is an absurd amount of money to be asking for a pad Thai. Typical London establishment no grip on who they are or what their food means in terms of cost versus expectations.

We always get take out from here and this place does strongly hint at Thai food. If you are craving thai comfort food, then this is your place. A little pricey for the food but nonetheless still affordable. Their Pad Thai is just stunning! Cannot recommend this place enough. If I wasn't so impatient with my appetite then I would've taken a picture of the food, haha! Honestly, would recommend.

Like being back in Thailand all over again. May (sorry if it's the wrong spelling!) was a truly wonderful hostess, in fact all of the staff are so friendly. She was very sweet and happily recommending me different dishes to try, of which I ordered all of like a glutton. She put up with my poor attempts at speaking Thai, and even discouraged me from ordering their hottest dish on the menu... which I obviously ordered anyway. When it was all over, my mouth was on fire; my hands hurting from using chopsticks like someone who doesn't know what chopsticks are, and my belly is 8 pounds heavier. 5/5, will be back very soon.

Do not go here if you have allergies. We looked online at the menu before we came to check if the pad Thai had gluten and it said it didn’t. We turned up tonight and had a feeling to just double check and ask if it was gluten free, the lady said yes but it had soya sauce in. so I asked if the soy sauce they use is gluten free and she checked with the chef and it is not and has gluten in it! I can’t believe that a restaurant can get away with incorrect allergen information on their menu. Had we eaten this dish according to their allergen menu, we would have been extremely ill! We then had to walk out and try and find another restaurant at last minute.
