Wednesday evening 14th August and we visited this restaurant for dinner with some friends. Earlier in the day we called into the restaurant and made a reservation for the evening. From the outside it looks like this restaurant is spacious, however inside it is even bigger with hallways leading off in various directions to numerous nooks and chambers. It looks like a number of buildings have been merged together over the years creating this warren. The walls and every spare inch of space is filled with pictures, wooden carvings, statues, images of Buddha and so much more. They are all from Thailand and really rather interesting. We turned up at the appointed time and were shown to our table and given the menus. Our drinks orders was taken, all choosing Chang beers. Shortly afterwards our food orders were taken, a variety of dishes were selected, the two of us went for the old favourites, a chicken Thai green curry and Thai red curry. Waiting for our food was an opportunity to catch up with our friends and enjoy the ambience and decor in the restaurant. When served, both are meals were a bit disappointing, the chicken was hard, overcooked and the sauce was missing something. It was alright, not the best Thai we have ever had. When we ordered our meals we asked if we could have three separate bills, as there were three couples and we sat opposite each other to make life easier for the staff. We were told it was not a problem, however when we asked for the bills, only one came, we said that we asked for separate bills, we were told no possible as they would not have been able to include service charge. We would have tipped anyway but paid the bill and left no additional tip.

Treated myself to a bank holiday take away. Ordered my favourite. Duck in tamarind and coconut rice…paid nearly £28 including delivery. Ordering in advance, delivery very quick, but then the disappointment….the rice clumped together …I hadn’t ordered sticky rice…no flavour…the duck lovely succulent meat ruined by such a sweet sauce all you could taste was sugar…no flavours…no chilli…I’ve had this many times before from you and other restaurants…as I say my favourite but honestly this was so. Disappointing I ended up discarding rice and sauce and ate as much of meat alone as I could. I’m sorry but it will be some time before I order from you again.

The food is good as was the service. The real selling point is the lovely, old building and the view across the street. Prices were reasonable and they were busy midweek.

Lovely Thai food in a lovely setting. Staff were attentive and the food was delicious. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Tuesday which is always a good sign! Highly recommend!

My first and last visit. The service was very slow, I had to ask for our drinks a number of times and we felt a bit crammed into the restaurant. I agree with previous comments on here that they have tried to seat too many people in the restaurant. The food I felt was average which was disappointing based on the previous reviews. The service charge was ridiculous and I asked for this to be taken off the bill, which did not appear to go down well. All in all there are much nicer places to eat in Worcester and I wouldn’t return here.

Went with my fiancee for a what was a wonderful night. The restaurant from outside looks so warm and inviting, set in a the historic part of Worcester. Once inside, the staff instantly made us feel like guests in their home. The attention to detail in the quality of the decor really made a big difference. Everything was so authentic. We went for the set menu, and we were able to change a dish to accommodate an allergy. The food was absolutely amazing. What was also really nice was that the owners came and spoke to us and it wasn't just pleasantries. A thoroughly enjoyable night, in a gem of a restaurant with wonderful company. Why would you not visit here?!

We went here tonight passing by worcester for the night, wow. The food for one was fantastic. Tasty and very traditional thai food. Absolutely beautiful food. The owners were so accommodating and at the forefront of the restaurant showing they really care about the service side of things. We will definitely be here again, thank you so much, what a great find!

We were a bit uncertain about this Thai restaurant in its historic location but so glad we went in! All staff so friendly and helpful re relative heat in food etc. I eat Thai quite a lot and have been there a few times so can be a bit fussy about it but the stir fry was flavoursome (but not spicy) while my laab Was just right - surprised to see it as they didn’t have a big range of food from that area but such a delicate balance of the hot and sweet and fresh - was tempted to lunch there the next day!

We arrived on time for our reservation and seated shortly after. Nearly half an hour later we had not been served or offered a drink despite several requests. They seemed to be too busy with takeaways. We left and went to Siam Smile which was fantastic and highly recommended.

Excellent food and atmosphere. However we were left waiting a long time at all stages of the meal, including being seated, the order and for the bill. We then found a mandatory service charge added. We won't be returning as we felt our custom was taken for granted.

We usually eat here when visiting Worcester, the meal tonight was not as good as previous visits, when given our bill which my husband paid without checking which he should have done, we realised it was not for our table and was a £17 overcharge, as was another's bill, a refund was issued for the difference, but with no apologies, not a good thing for a quiet restaurant to do, so maybe carefully check your bill

I want to start on a positive, sadly it is the only positive from my expereince here, but he food was incredible. The vegan options were great too. However, we now get onto the negatives. Sadly the meal was ruined by the appauling service. We were a large group that had booked for 1845 for my mates birthday. We turned up between 1843 and 1847 and after a few minutes a woman came over to us and we explained we had a table booked for 1845. She said ok and dissapeared. 15 minutes went by before we were finally sat down. The table was placed in a corner and was a very tight squeeze for some of the group. None of us are overweight and the restaurant felt like there were too many tabkes and seats squeezed in for the size of the place. After 50 minutes (no exaggeration) no one had come and taken our order not even for drinks. Other people had come in much later than us and were eating food before we were even served. One of the group had gone up to the bar 4 or 5 times to ask for some service and everytime were told "someone is coming". If it takes 50 minutes for staff to walk to a table to take an order then something is very wrong. The male waiter seemed more interested in taking the order of the group of women who came in 15 minutes after us then taking our order. When the food came the waiter seemed disinterested and we had a difficult time knowing what plate was what. They also forgot one plate for one of our group, to which that member had to go up and ask where there meal was. No one came over to ask how our food was. At the end we asked for the bill and after another 15 minutes waiting for the bill to come we got fed up and went to the bar to pay our bill. The lady at the bar made a comment that they bring the bill to the table as we were now making the bar area look untidy. We got the bill and split it between us and worked out how much the cost would be per person. It turns out after we left after discussing with the group that half the group overpaid by £5!! That is a minimum overpayment of £20. A deposit was paid of £60 for this reservation and we were made to feel unwelcome. We were told the deposit is refundable once the bill is paid but the man behind the bar took the deposit money off the bill and it took a while to get this issue resolved as it unfair that 1 person had to pay more than everyone else, when we were told deposits are refundable. It was my first and now only visit to The Thai Gallery. If you want good Asian food go to Singapores down the road with amazing service and food.

We thought we’d pay the Thai Gallery a visit the other night, as had come to love the cuisine during our holiday in Thailand a few months ago! I had a prawn noodle dish that was not at all authentic and my husband chose Kao Pad chicken, which arrived anaemic looking and tasted very bland. Not only was the food disappointing, do beware when it comes to ordering drinks!!! We chose a couple of beers and then the waiter suggested we had water to accompany the meal. We assumed it would be a jug of tap water but when it came we realised he’d opened a bottle! Starters came out....waited a while, they were delicious. 2 hours later no mains. Sadly paid for what we'd had and left..... So dissaponting, this place is chaotic. Suspect the pressure is bums on seats rather than a nice experience. By the time we realised this was a lost cause, we'd wasted 36 quid and 2 hours.

What a wonderful place to eat. Wonderful surroundings, excellent food quality and excellent service. Really can't wait to return.

First visit to Worcester and saw this restaurant and decided to return in the evening. Was t disappointed. Excellent Thai food reasonably priced and good portions. Attentive staff and beautiful surroundings. Although on the hottest night wish we had sat outside.

This undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in the midlands, the food is exceptional, beautifully served, full of flavour with exact amount of spice an seasoning and the drinks/wine menu is well thought out and reasonably priced. We are so lucky to have The Thai Gallery in Worcester

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Sat outside on a warm evening. Food is delicious. No pink, chemically-tasting prawn crackers here! The flavours are subtle and carefully put together. For example, so many satay sauces taste like watered down peanut butter. Not here. Thai Gallery's satay sauce is deliciously light. Enjoyed ginger chicken and beef massaman. The last can be heavy and dry, but again.. not here. It with aromatic and light and the beef was perfectly cooked. Thai Gallery has been there for 24 years and justifiably so. Would defintely go again.

I cannot understand people complaining about the portion sizes at this restaurant, all of the dishes we had were of ample size. The prawns in the king prawn mains we had were gorgeous and there was plenty of them. Overall the meal here was very enjoyable and we will definitely visit again.

Food was nice, my husband has spent a lot of time in Thailand & he said the food at Thai Gallery seemed very sweet. Staff could do with being a bit happier, the welcome was lovely but no interaction from staff or smiles from then. Service was slow, we had to ask to order drinks when we arrived as no one came, had to ask for them to take our starter plates.

Pleasant enough restaurant with a lot of Thai artifacts to create the right atmosphere , also Thai music. Arrived 6.50 p.m. sat down ordered wine and food order by about 7.05. Prawn crackers which you have to pay for brought promptly. Starter arrived by 7.15 : sea food platter good selection and enjoyable. Main course didn't arrive till over an hour later about 8.25 and only after we reminded waiter : Chicken massaman OK , geang ped chicken a bit watery but good taste. Rice OK. Service good and attentive.

I have a few favourite dishes at this restaurant. The service is very good, lovely location in town and some delicious items on the menu. Always a treat and I find this place particularly lovely for a couples or small group dinner.

Dropped in at lunchtime and only a few tables were occupied. Once seated, the menu was presented pronto and drinks and food arrived quickly and nicely presented. I enjoyed my lunch and will probably be back if I visit the city again.

I have dined in the Worcester branch many times and I have always been more than happy and enjoyed every visit.Unfortunately the takeaway delivery did not live up to this standard. It seemed like a good incentive to offer 20% off but the £5 delivery charge was a bit of a shock considering I live just over a mile away! its expensive and ended up being nearly 40 minutes late. Always a fan of Thai food and restaurant did not disappoint. In this covid time was impressed by the way it was managed. Lots of signs, hand sanitizer and staff wearing masks. Booked table for 9pm on Friday night. Venue looked nice but we were only given 1 menu between 2 of us (even though the place was nearly empty). Was difficult trying to read it properly stretched across the table - and felt rushed when asked what drinks we wanted. A few mins later they came to take our food order, even though they could see we were still looking at the menu. We asked for more time to look at the menu and were then told "we close at 10:15". The whole experience felt like they just wanted our money and us out of the door asap. Food was nice enough but the experience was extremely disappointing. Not what I expected from a restaurant of this standard.

Exceptional meal, drinks and the staff were so attentive, considering they’re up against it a bit with COVID restrictions. The Koong Pad Pong Ka Ree was incredible, highly recommend if you’re a fan of curries. Spoke to the owners afterward about Thailand and Phuket and James Bond Island - they were so pleasant and courteous. This was my first visit, will be going back ASAP.
