Food cold and soggy, missing items, very rude delivery driver

Was a little sweet but great breakfast waffles

My mum got some sausage rolls from Greg's which is located outside the cafe. We sat down for a cup of tea. At that, cafe assistant came over and said, you can't eat your own food in here. We had no intention to eat the sausage roll. Put me off. I normally have a cup of coffee after I have done my shopping. Don't think I'll bother in the future.

Was looking forward to abit of lunch with my man daughter son and grandaughter. There was a very long queue so we all waited patiently to be told we could only have toasties paninis or chips. As there was only one member of staff in the kitchen. My grandaughter is only one. My daughter asked if she could just have a few beans on toast to be told no. Then when my son went to order he was told he couldn't have a toastie or a paying so he ordered chips. No notice up before we queued. Some of the food came a panini chips and teacake. As we started to eat a women came out the kitchen swiping our food away saying ot wasn't ours. When I explained it was what we ordered she left us no apology. My son still hadn't received his chips. The lady on the till came to ask what we were waiting for we told her seasoned fries. She went to the kitchen to be told we'd already had our order. Then realising the fries were missing sent out a few fries and some chunky chips saying she'd ran out of fries Well fair to say our relaxing lunch was well and truly ruined. All the tables in the cafe were full of dirty pots. Such a shame as we used to eat here regular. It needs addressing that if there are problems there should be notices up before you queue. We would have gone somewhere else if we had known .

Can't really rate the food because they weren't serving any. Terrible place.

Lovely clean environment and toilets 🚻 popped in for breakfast. Avocado & bacon on toast with fresh juice.

Everything was stone cold apart from the drinks. Awful. Centenary pubs do the same meal and they get it right so I’ll be ordering from them in the future. Waste of money.

Lovely food every time I have visited. Typically go for breakfast or brunch and love the variety of items on the menu. Café is clean and tidy with comfortable seating. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. Staff are always very friendly.

I usually live my order from here but unfortunately today I only received half of my order I have submitted a refund request but my son wasn't happy when his food didn't show up

Good food but waiting times are horrific. 2 hours from ordering to delivery due to "delays in assigning a driver" that has happened EVERY time I've ordered from here.

The food as always is excellent and tasty. But they have never got my order right yet. Today I ordered a frappe I got a hot milky drink and no tomato sauce. Last time no tomato sauce and one mint tiffin. I have ordered from here several times and there is always something wrong with the order. Very disappointing!

Tell you what that was the best breakfast I’ve had in years. Jesus Christ it wouldn’t have looked out of place in a 5* restaurant

Good experience, good coffee although slightly expensive

The amount of chilli flakes covering the whole meal (Halloumi rice bowl) was so excessive. Made it inedible 😞 mouth is on fire.

Lovely staff! Great goats cheese and caramelised onion focaccia.

The cafe is a hidden gem. The food is lovely, the staff and extremely friendly and the speed of service is brilliant. I can’t recommend visiting enough.

Came this morning for breakfast , lovely clean place with nice staff but value for money this place isn’t ! My husband had the breakfast and I had avacado on toast with an extra egg and mushrooms plus 2 coffees . Breakfast , the bacon was all fat and undercooked , 2 small pieces of toast cheap bread . Mine , a thin spread of avacado maybe a tablespoons worth 😟1 mushroom chopped very very disappointing and at £16 total waste of money won’t be returning

Diabolical Ordered two brekkys and a kids meal 25 minutes later it comes bean's are stone cold n I am talking fresh out of the tin Took them back Nearly 15 minutes later They come out with no tomatoes....money back straight to McDonald's Paid on my card so have to borrow tesco 21 quid for a few days absolute joke avoid at all costs

Order was received with missing item as the order wasn’t marked as delivered until a while after the order was received was unable to request a refund in the usual way. When I eventually found a telephone number to chase it up I was told I would get a call back however this call never came and when I tried ringing again there was no answer. Very poor customer service.

Delivery driver didn't even know my address, and claimed it was wrong, which it wasn't??? Er, ever heard of Google maps mate! Then took my food back to the restaurant!?

Brilliant delivery speed. Food is lovely I’ve ordered here a few times in the past couple weeks. Portions can be fairly small but the food is delicious

Food was ok. Small portions tho. Delivery was late as it took them a long time to assign a driver. However after the driver was finally found it came pretty quickly.

Scrambled egg overcooked and rubbery. Sent it back, and second attempt was just as bad. Inedible. Avocado on toast comes heaped with chilli flakes. If you like chilli for breakfast (I don’t) that’s fine, but be warned - comes with a LOT of chilli flakes all over it. In their defence, chilli flakes are mentioned on the menu but it was a last minute decision at the counter, and chilli wasn’t mentioned on the list on the wall. Grilled tomato and the pot of tea were ok.

Like it here. Good prices. Staff are friendly. Nice and clean too.

Called in here before food shopping , we had breakfast baps and tea,all ok and place was clean and service was quick and friendly,toilets close by and prices reasonable.

Smells good (most of the time), looks good and generally clean. But because the toilets aren’t far enough away from the dining area, someone did an absolute whopper and the smell drifted as it caught a ride of the aroma of lunches cooking. So although I could also smell what the food would taste like in 24 hours time, it didn’t put me off. I just plugged my tunes in and rocked to a bit of hip hop whilst I awaited my chips and gravy. Overall it was an average cafe

service is slow, food over priced, usually clean not always, those lamp shades need a good wash, only worth a drink and a rest

Called in after shopping. Had the eggs Benedict and husband had the full English. Food was hot and tasty. All down hill after that I'm afraid. Staff were surly, cafecwas dirty and the cups and teapots were badly cracked. I loathe cracked crockery. Wont be going back any time soon.

Bacon was purple and cremated-we actually saw the priest leaving after giving it the last rights. The sausage was that hard it bent the knife and snapped the fork whilst I was cutting it. Tomato was more like a tennis ball; in fact I’m sure serena Williams used it in the last Wimbledon. Everything was so overdone, a good vet would have struggled to get it back on its feet in half an hour. Overall the toast and hash brown (singular) weren’t too bad however I don’t think the food could be deemed fit for human consumption. Keep in mind when you visit TESCO Café for a lovely “all day breakfast” the reason it has that name is because it’s been sat there...all day.

Visited after shopping in store last week. Service very slow .at least 30 minutes wait for two bacon sandwiches which were cold on arrival and one omelet that was inedible, very short staffed however it appeared that it took two people to sweep the floor, with one walking behind the other......pointless,

The only dairy alternative milk they can offer is soya...which I loathe...the lady behind me asked about gluten free sandwiches...they dont do those either! Yet they sell other alternative milks and loads of gluten free bread in the shop...they obviously do not listen to customer demand...and the woman serving was extremely unhelpful

It’s been a while since I’ve used the cafe in Tesco but seeing as my ride home was delayed I thought I’d pop in for a latte and a cake, so it does have that going for it, it was still open at 6pm, there are plenty of seating so that was good but not many places to put your trolley, they only have 4 “cupboards” for trolleys, 3 were full of empty trolleys (considering there was only 1 other customer in the cafe) and so I used the 4th but the lock was faulty so I was glad it wasn’t too busy so I could keep an eye on my shopping. They have a couple different muffins and scones on display, in my opinion too expensive, they do have posters for dinners/hot meals but I didn’t look at those prices as I knew I wouldn’t want one. My latte was a bit bland to be honest, but I think that’ll be due to their choice of coffee machine not staff but still, not a nice recipe, I only drank it because I paid £2.50 for it (a small). Not sure it I would use again unless I’m in the same situation again (waiting for a lift) Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike the place, the only low points are the coffee recipe, the cake was lush (even if it was over priced lol)

Place looks ok but has gone a bit expensive since it was improved
