Tennessee Fried Chicken in Swindon

Ordered a delivery to my place of work, 1.25 hour later - no food. Shop was very rude, called me a liar. Turns out they delivered to a completely different place, suddenly changed their tune when the driver admitted fault. I should of known better as the last delivery was cold and incomplete. There are other companies out there and i would definitely never use this establishment again, i think they must of changed owners because they used to be really good. AVOID DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This review is exclusively for the GORSE HILL TENNESSEE CHICKEN IN SWINDON. We usually order from VICTORIA ROAD and have never had a problem but unfortunately we had to use GORSE HILL. We ordered our chicken at 5.50pm expectingthe usual fast service. After an hour of waiting I called the GORSE HILL SHOP and asked when my order would be delivered. The rudest woman on earth lied to me and told me the order was already on its way. 30 minutes later I called again and once again she lied to me and said it had left ages ago. 10 minutes later the driver arrived and I asked him when he had picked up the order. He said about 12 minutes ago, proving that the woman I spoke too wasn't telling me the truth. The meal from this GORSE HILL shop was greasy and tasted of unclean fat from the fryer. It was disgusting and I will never order from this GORSE HILL SHOP again. I would not recommend anyone order from the GORSE HILL BRANCH OF TENNESSEE CHICKEN as the food is disgusting and the service is rubbish. If I was management I would close this GORSE HILL BRANCH down with immediate effect before it ruined the reputation of others. DO NOT BIY ANYTHING FROM GORSE HILL TENNESSEE CHICKEN !!!!

Tennessee was one of my favourite places to eat. That is, until I had food poisoning from the hot and spicy chicken wings. I’ve had vomiting, loose stool, fever and cramping in the stomach. I was the only one on my family who ate the hot and spicy chicken wings. Everyone else was fine. I started projectile vomiting 5 hours after my meal. I called to let them know and request a refund. I spoke to the manager and she was very unhelpful, no compassion or sympathy. I was advised if I request the refund of the 5 wing meal which came down to £8 I think. I will not be able to order from them again. I happily requested the refund. I’ve been put off fried chicken. Will never eat their food again.

Terrible experience!! I’m with Tennessee for the long long time but face this first time. A Kurdish(maybe) guy was soo rude to me and he doesn’t know English I think, I ordered chicken popcorn and he cooked that for less than 2.5 minutes and it’s still like raw. And I promise I’ll never go to Tennessee again!!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID...waited for around 2 hours, did not even receive the food, when I called in to ask, they said they have delivered it. I offered to show them cctv footage that no one has delivered to my address, which they said they cant trust. I told them they can send the delivery driver back to the address he delivered to, so they can confirm it wasn't me, which they didn't do. They said they cant refund my order as they cant trust my claim. Had to speak to some rude supervisor/manager who then just hung up on me. After being a regular customer this experience has been appalling and I will never eat or order from this shop again and I suggest anyone else to find elsewhere to order from. This was the gorse hill branch.

Banging fresh chicken. Got the spicy wrap and hot wings. Fresh and seasoned well. Not dry it was juicy chicken. Definitely recommend

I had ordered some food for dinner as a delivery. I had waited almost an hour and I was told it would take 30-45 minutes. I was getting worried so I called Tennessee. They said the driver had forgotten the house number and that they would be heading out now, and it would take 10-15 minutes . If the number was unknown, why hadn’t they called me? This was bad service. At least the food was good.

I am shocked At Tennessee and the managers behaviour towards customers! Absolutely disgraceful service and food standards! We used to be regulars here, but we will not be coming here again!! We ordered 1 whole and half peri peri chicken, and they clearly didn’t care about the standards of their food! The chicken still had feathers left on all over the food, and we ended up eating some of it without realising. When we called up, not once did they apologise and admit it was a mistake. Their attitude and uncaring behaviour towards customers is appalling! Should definitely not be running a business if you do not know how to talk and behave with people, let alone customers! The manager of that night was very rude and not apologetic at all! He didn’t not care that the food was not up to standards! He expected us to continue eating the food with the feathers still on! The quality of food has also gone downhill! Please see images of the feather! Absolutely disgusting 🤢

The Manager at the Gorse Hill branch is very rude. I have been a customer for a long time, getting deliveries, but this time, she was unprofessional, rude and in my view , should get the sack. I think her name was Shevian- take your business elsewhere,

Ordered as our Friday night treat through just eat and it was delicious. Very well cooked and the peri peri chicken was actually nicer than Nando’s. So much so we ordered direct from their website tonight and it was even nicer. Would recommend definitely and we will be gladly returning as regulars

I'm a regular user of the Gorsehill branch and was always very happy with a well prepared and presented meal..BUT lately the quality and possibly health presentation of the the food is very poor..There is a minimum temperature that a takeaway should be delivered..They are far below this value and what was within this temperature tasted like old food reheated..It went in the bin..Bloody Shame

Very good food and worth waiting for, the spicy chicken wings are fabulous. It feels like you get more than you paid for!

Arrived well before due time which was great as we was all hungry. Food was nice and hot. Chips were freshly cooked and not cold and soggy. Chicken was amazing as always! We are a big fan of this chicken place. Best in swindon I would say.

We had the price price chicken, southern fried chicken, lamb ribs and a box meal. All was hot and cooked fresh. Arrived in good time and is so easy to order on the website. If using the deals on the site then it is good value otherwise it's a bit pricey for a take out but the food is good. You get what you pay for.

Love this place - from the food to the delivery staff. Just had a takeaway and it arrived 15 minutes early (again), fresh from the fryers. Highly recommend the Alabama Box Meal or the Peri Peri Wrap. Portions are generous, and always tasty. Highly recommend - Also, props to the delivery driver, get the same one and he's never once been late.

If you think things like KFC and Nando’s do it for you then you need to try Tennessee! Our meals are always fresh and tasty. I would always make this my first call! Well done team

Hi There,I want to complain against my recent order at tennesse and also against a member staff named Rizwaan working at Tennesse Chicken, Old town Swindon.I had ordered two of the peri peri special platters which is currently on offer.1 hot flavour and 1 medium flavour online, and also made a note that make sure the hot flavour is actually hot as my last order before this current order for hot peri peri whole chicken was not hot at all and tasted exactly like medium.So the note was a reminder.Today exactly the same happened.1stly my order was late..Was supposed to arrive 45 mins, but took longer than an 1 hour. 2ndly when both the special platters arrived, hot and medium, both just tasted the same. It’s not worth for what I am paying for.I called the member staff, told him that both the whole chicken tastes like medium, and that I am not happy about it. He said he can send another 1 now, I was ok, After few minutes we get a call from Rizwaan saying that they have checked CCTV cams and the order, the recipe and all was fine, I told him I am not buying peri peri hot from tennesse for the 1st time, I have been ordering and eating peri peri hot since 2015, even now on my current address if you check, I used to order peri peri hot weekly, I do know how extremely hot the hot flavour really is, I loved it like that. Rizwaan was not ready to listen to what I was saying, he said, you can order even 10 times the recipe won’t change, I was trying to tell him again and again that hot and medium tasted the same, no difference at all. He said he checked the CCTV, he said we only have 4 flavours n all and arguing. I didn’t pay for that?I am not like a troublesome customer, but I am very very upset, I need a response to this. Just tried for first time...Chicken V GOOD, Chips V GOOD, Wings V GOOD, Service V GOOD [quick and food delivered v hot].

I have used just eat 3 times now and each time the food has been very bad the kebab was awful the first time The second time the delivery was on time but gives between a hour to a hour and 10 mins but the food was decent. This time the timing was good but the food was dreadful.

I've ordered a few times from these guys, but I have to say their BBQ lamb ribs keep me coming back. I've never seen lamb on the menu of a fast food place like this. Very nice.

Just had Tennessee chicken delivered to my hotel, not only did it come before expected delivery time the driver bought it straight upto my room which I liked, as when I order from some places they make me come down to reception.I had the spicy mountain burger which was so tasty potentially better than a kfc zinger tower burger, chips with peri salt, coleslaw was also creamy and tasty. I’d highly recommend

I placed my order at 12:10 - my delivery time was 13.20. At 13.30 my delivery was still not here so i called the resturant to be greeted by an extremley apologetic and polite member of staff who explained she had not recieved our order. With that straight away she came up with a resolution. Within 20 mins we recieved piping hot food, complimentary meal and drink along with a very apologetic delivery driver. AMAZING SERVICE, WONDERFUL FOOD.

I suspect the food would have been better if it had been fully hot; however, having ordered at 17.45 and been told delivery would be 18.45, when the food eventually arrived at 19.25 it was lukewarm.

after 1 hr and 20mins the food hadn’t arrived...on phoning to check on delivery time I was told my food had been delivered?!! wasn’t prepared to wait a further half an hour (or more!) for it to be re-sent! very disappointed!

Terrible, ordered 3 chicken wings and got cheese sticks. Drove to the shop and complained and they started to speak rudely to me and would not accept the mistake they made and started to shout at me. They did not believe mw at all. They made me drive back to my home and bring my food to show them the mistake they made they accepted the mistake and gave me 7 wings and apologised. Sorry isn't enough for making me drive around for a simple £3 mistake they wouldn't admit.

Always well cooked, delivery takes a long night time, up to. 90mins on busy days. The card machine hardly works. But the food makes up for it.

normally we love Tennessee chicken, so we looked forward to enjoying a take out during world cup semi final only to find that it was so salty it was inedible. extremely disappointing as it was overcooked.dry and extremely salty.

I bought the equivalent of a bargain bucket as you get from KFC. It was freshly cooked in front of me and at the end there was more chicken than the whole of my family could eat. The wings and legs were similar in spiciness to KFC.

Lovely piri piri grilled chicken. Need to do salad bowls for those people that don't want chips. Maybe introduce this ;) Good food, delivered hot.

This place has a thing for stale buns!!! every time I order a burger, it's like they leave the buns outside. Everything we ordered tasted old and dry, literally smells and tastes like cardboard. Sort it out.

Ordered at 2am expecting it to be fast but after calling the store when it had gone past our delivery time, was told they were busy which I guess is fair enough (doubt it tho) btw phone guy needs to learn better English, could barely understand a word. When the food finally arrived..the chicken was dryer than the Sahara desert and sauces and cheese that was requested wasn't added. Shocking.

To be honest we have never had a bad meal from here. We tried Roosters and Nando’s and they don’t compare! Tennessee have always been great and we will continue to support them. Whether you order grilled or the standard you won’t be disappointed. Food is always hot when it arrives and we’ve very have reason to complain. I would rather order from her than roosters or Nando’s. great value for money and great service! Order online and get the points! Points equal prizes!

The food was terrible, the breadcrumbs on the popcorn chicken were all soggy, the boneless pieces were dry and tasteless, and to top it off I didn't get the drink I ordered, the driver told me he would be back in 15 minutes and 2 days later I am still waiting.

I ordered Monday madness via the website and you can have a second bucket for 4 quid odd. So I order it pay then i get a phone call saying that deal wasn't available for delivery despite it saying it was in the website and was 10 quid more for what I wanted!!. I asked for a refund and ordered pizza elsewhere, we order all the time from here might not in future now as they were hang out of order.

Good service and quick delivery, food is usually good but definitely not good when ordered late, it's like it's the left over nasty chicken that's been out all day cooked on the rack thats been left to sweat out and go all horrible and deflate

Overpriced and poor quality. Chips were dry and overcooked, chicken was far too salty. Saving grace is it arrived half an hour early but even that cant excuse the quality and how much I paid!
