Recently went here for a bit of brekkie but all that was available was toast bagels or scrambled egg.. was disappointed however did sit in and order. I wish i hadnt as i felt so uncomfortable. I came in and stood at the sign that said wait to be seated. I was then pointed at and then they pointed at a table.. The older woman didnt seem that she wanted to be there and was quite grumpy. No track and trace done either.. Im sure by law you are meant to do track and trace when sitting in?.? The food was good and plenty of butter. The tea was nice but wasnt offered any sugar or sweetener. I wouldn't rush back..

I was on my travels up north to visit my cousin and was compelled to stop in Dumbarton for a wee nosey. I stumbled across Aunties Tea room and I am glad I did. When I first walked in I felt that everyone’s eyes where on me, Although initially feeling I was being judged by the many customers already in the room, I soon realised it was simply because everyone in here knows everyone so I probably stuck out like a sore thumb. I am 22 and felt totally at peace in my surroundings and I enjoyed listening to the chatter all around. The chatter of people’s supporting others and making friends. The tables are many for four so I felt bad taking up a whole table for myself but I soon saw others join people they had never met before and begin conversing. I hope the community of Dumbarton realise that this place is try a hidden treasure and I will be leaving with a huge smile on my face! The coffee and Scones are amazing too!!! Hope I will be back!

Called here for a morning tea and a sandwich. Disappointed the waitress looked like she could not be bothered and her whole demeanour put a dampener on the visit. Don't think we'll be returning soon

Have used this cafe a few times this year and always food is fresh and well presented. Plenty of space for wheelchairs etc. A good meeting place. Recommend their milky coffee and toasties!!!

The soup in 'Aunties Tea Shop' is excellent, as is the coffee. The service is always polite and friendly. The food and drink are great value for money. I would unhesitatingly recommend this establishment.

My sister took her 2 year old niece in here to use the toilet whilst shopping in the area today. My niece is potty training at the moment so this was a big step for both of them. Unfortunately they were refused access to the toilet as its for customers only and turned away. Not the type of customer service that attracts potential customers. Poor show. However i see from previous reviews this has happened before and no lessons learned.

We popped In here on a day when we did the Dumbarton Heritage trail. My treat on holiday is to have coffee and cake or more often coffee and scone for lunch. The scones were so nice I had a second helping - reckon the best I had during a three week stay in Scotland. Will definitely be back

Thank you so much for your kind donations and hard work to help with the Scotland women's 27 Touch Rugby team. The money raised will assist our World Cup Campaign to Coff's Harbour, Australia 2015. Best scones ever!

I was in the town with my 3 year old son and he was needed to go to the rest room. I went in not only want to use the rest room but i was going to buy some juice for my son as well. I asked one member of the staff where the rest room is and her unswer was "sorry is for the customer only" with unfriendly and rude manner! It turned out that she is the MANAGER. I work in catering my self and i will never speak or treated my customer the way she does. So i hope she read this message and hopefully will change her attitude towards customers!

My friend and I where shopping in Dumbarton and stopped for a coffee in here. The staff made us feel very uncomfortable to the point we rushed or coffees to leave. Unless you are a regular don't expect any decent customer service.

Friendly staff, good food and the best scones you'll probably ever find, the soups are alway homemade and tasty! This tea room has it all! Spotlessly clean and consistent in what they do!

We regularly pop in for coffee and scones (huge). Reg and his staff are friendly and efficient. On our last visit my grandson was with us. Reg suggested a one slice cheese toasties for him, perfect. It's like popping into your aunties for a cuppa and a chat.

Popped in for a spot of lunch on my day off and had a cheese and onion toastie and a tea. The toastie came with a little salad and was really good. Tea comes in individual pots and I managed to have 2 good sized cups from it. I was contemplating having one of the lovely scones when I noticed the biggest meringues in the world. Would really be a decent size to share.

This is a great wee cafe in Dumbarton and we use it several times a week. Serves lavazza coffee mixed at the table with hot creamy milk to your own liking, and it's definitely the best in Dumbarton. My daughter calls it " the singing cafe" as the chap who runs it invariably is! It's always quite busy, especially over lunch, with a decent menu available and homemade goodies like scones ect. I have to admit to being addicted to their cheese and tomato toasties! If it's good service and a friendly welcome you want with your tea stop, this is the place to find it :)

We brought family from England to have breakfast at the coffee club and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was excellent as always. Our server Michelle could not have been nicer she even came to our table ( there was 9 of us) to take our order. She really did make our visit even more special and we can't thank her enough.
