Costa Coffee in West Dunbartonshire

Very friendly & professional staff, nice (although not enough parking) location. Dogs are allowed which is xlnt!!

Met up with a friend for a coffee and a chat. Handily situated just off the A82 behind an Esso Service Station. A clean and tidy modern coffee shop. Drive through outlet as well as sit in. Disabled parking and wheelchair accessible entrance and washroom. Promp service from cheerful staff members.

Just stopped to get a coffee for my flask for a long drive, no probs at all and v friendly service. Thankyou!

Friendly staff and a classic Costa really. Coffee is always burnt but if you don’t really care about coffee then this place is great.

Coffee was good , fast service not with a smile. Very busy only real let down was that the toilets were a riot, not exactly 3rd world but getting near. also you could wash your hands, but had to hang them out to dry.

Clean and friendly environment. Parking is now chargeable if staying longer than 80 minutes. best just to log in at the till and get yourself in the habit as the day you stay longer will be the day you forget to sign in

It's overpriced coffee isn't it? Tastes fine and good that people have jobs out of it but you couldn't do it everyday

Unfortunately, on my visit here the shop has ran out of a lot of items (such as the black forest syrup and many sandwiches) so we were forced to have second and third choice drinks. The drinks themselves were nice enough. Well presented and served quickly considering the busyness of the place. One server kept acting very odd, much to the annoyance of other staff members. They microwaved food that wasn't on a platesl meaning that other staff had to clean out the microwave, they put tiny items of food on full size plates and large items of food on small plates, and at one point they served a knob of butter with a sweet mince pie for the person in front of us. Maybe they were learning but it was weird. Despite being busy inside the place had been kept very clean.

Usual Costa fare, no issues and pleasant staff. Not super quick but OK. Toilets not the most pleasant- really cramped- and noticed the disabled ones were out of order.

Lovely relaxing place with great staff but having no WiFi is shocking. They've used the excuse of we're changing suppliers for nearly 2 months and as the phone data reception is also appalling around Lomondgate I had to walk out and go to the Costa in town. Plenty of reasons to need intern there especially when it's the start of the Highlands. Planning routes, absolutely no hope. Keeping in touch with family on important matters pointless! Doubt I'll be back. Wonder if the "woman with a star' coffee shop has WiFi?

I love starting my day with a cup of coffee from Costa, a cosy and inviting place where I can park my car easily and order my drink quickly. They have a drive-through option that is very convenient when I’m in a hurry, and an outdoor seating area that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the weather. The service at Costa is amazing, and the staff are extremely nice and friendly. They always greet me with a smile and make sure I get my coffee exactly how I like it. They also have a great selection of food and snacks that go well with their coffee. Costa is my favourite place to get my caffeine fix and feel energised for the day.

Lovely little costa for locals, a good selection of bakery goods and plenty of drinks to choose from as it changes seasonally. Comfortable seats for a quick catch up with a friend or to just have a peaceful breakfast/lunch. Would highly recommend avoiding peak times and noise cancelling headphones if you truly want 10 minutes of peace

The staff are nice here but there's ALWAYS a good queue and it doesn't move fast, which is difficult for a location that's meant to be a pit stop. As with all Costa coffees, there is no atmosphere, you are sitting next to a motorway so can't expect one. Coffee is a hit or miss, sometimes nice sometimes very bitter, though I always order the same

Capuccino and a bit of carrott cake. Sat in. Service fast but genuinely pleasant without being over-familiar and laid back without being lax (none of that bullying you into a plastic super enthusiastic exchange which can often happen with these corporate coffee chains who make their younger employees behave as if in a cult, via bogus espousals of a "way of life" rather than better wages). Delicious. Nice comfy seat in a half-full, beautifully air-conned shop on a hot afternoon. This is how it should be.

Staff at drive through are always friendly and are a credit to the company

Looks clean, got outside seatings with umbrellas , inside seatings, service good. Will not give rating for food as I didn’t take any.

Only had a latte and a cake on this visit and everything was good, a very welcome and convenient location with a petrol station next door for our motorcycle trip to the Scottish splendor of the Highlands.

Furniture was a bit shoehorned in, but the coffee was OK. Obviously not a place to take a hot date.

Being asked for our registration number before we could order was unusual. Apparently we would get a ticket otherwise... Coffee is always good but food is overpriced.

Always a short halt for us before heading to the highlands, usual costa menu and serves us best as a meeting point when travelling in groups. Parking is a bit tight and depends on time of the day and season of the year. Our toddler loves running around ao the ambience is quite good as the other customers and staff have always been considerate and friendly. Mostly self serviced and has got wheelchair access and toilet facilities. Kids changing facilities available as well. It has also got an outdoor seating arrangement which is quite convenient during summer. The lication is quite convenient and starts at the foothills of dumbarton, might also attract crowd from nearby aggreko office. Love one bit if interior decor- the costa cups hanging as chandelier beside the lights

Customer service today was very poor, I realise the card payment was down but the rudeness tone of one staff female was unnecessary!, when I approached the checkout I was told cash only, as I didn’t have cash I said oh never mind to be told we have two notices and one is on the front door! Who looks at the front door and reads everything before entering ? No problem with the card machine being down, these things happen but an apology and some friendliness would go a long way.

The staff are really good and friendly, fast service and way better than the Starbucks across the road. They seem to be rushed of their feet in the mornings though maybe give them an extra staff member to help them out a little!

I love a Costa, post gym or before a nightshift. I often rely on in store WiFi. At Lomondgate it's absolutely abysmal, the worst I've experienced. I'm going to break a habit and try the Starbucks over the road, it's that bad!! 🤣😂🤣

Not sure what's happened to costa these days 50% of the time I buy coffee now it's like there is grounds in my coffee or its burned, have started to avoid more since.

I only use Costa for a treat, lovely coffee but a tad expensive

Stopped in for breakfast. We ate in. Restaurant was very clean and airy, and the breakfast and coffees were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Ordered toast and Latte....on receiving toast I was given cutlery which was dirty.Went back to counter and asked for clean cutlery which was also dirty...The server was rude and not once was an apology offered.She was also asked to top up the latte and just emptied it down the sink then given another one which was not rinsed the usual way with hot water before the hot milk is put in ...This then makes the coffee cold quicker....

Quick and easy at drive through

Always love a Costa! Made especially lovely as I was with my hubby and granddaughter. Got an almond milk baby chino for my granddaughter. Great that Costa cater for people with dairy allergies. They have done for years now. The little tiny cup they gave her was perfect and she felt super grown up! Thank you!

Staff are always very friendly only issue I’ve ever had is being given sugar free syrup which I can’t drink without being told there’s no regular syrup. Convenient location

Not clean half products missing

Was looking a bit untidy on arrival and moved used cups and cutlery to clear a table to sit at. By the time we were leaving that table still hadn't been cleared. It wasn't so busy but social distancing seemed to be observers by all.

It's a Costa coffee, so no surprises, but it does it well. It's a good location for meeting up, it's clean, with tables well spaced out. Reasonable amount of car parking.

Lovely coffee shop with a great selection of hot and cold beverages, cakes, sandwiches and toasties. Staff are friendly and the place looks nice and clean.

Drive through on way up North, only to be told no cash payment accepted, didn't have bank card, free coffee on the house, very kind gesture, not often you can say that so well done

All tables in Costa Dumbarton in SCOTLAND have ENGLISH "Track & Trace" labels. Check in Scotland app obviously does Not work with English Track & Trace. Guess that Costa couldn't possibly have Any outbreaks among their staff or customers as only English visitors with English Apps can check-in there. Oh and of course English track & trace Only works in England, so even if an English customer later tested positive, PHE could/would do nadah about it, as Costa Dumbarton is in SCOTLAND where TestProtect is in force. So if Costa Dumbarton have had infectious customer/s, no-one could/has ever been identified/informed, staff or customers. Not very civic, Costa.😡

Staff are great however; A) The place is falling apart, needs TLC urgently. B) covid safety is serious however I think having the doors wide open and air con at full blast makes it really uncomfortable sitting in. C) outside area use to be looked after, litter everywhere now. Not sure if it’s the peasants or seagulls littering. D) Again there use to be a landscaper looking after the grass and flowers. Non existent now. Depressing seating area, flower pots with nothing growing. C) WiFi internet speed is poor buts that’s maybe to keep the laptop louts away. Costa/coca cola sort it out!

Just came to the drive through and asked for a hot chocolate the last three times I've bought one they have been super watery and I haven't been able to drink them so I asked for more chocolate in this one she handed it to me and I tried it and asked if she could take it back and put extra in and I would pay for it and the look on the girl's face. She said she couldn't put more in because I had touched it so made me a new one, she had a total attitude She was clearly annoyed and her and the staff member behind her whispered stuff which made me feel uncomfortable for asking. Please ask your staff members to smile. It doesn't cost much. It should come as standard with a job working with the public. We aren't rude to her, just simply asked. Totally puts me off coming back to be honest.

Cheating with price, price for tool cup writed 5 pound, sell for 7,50 .not happy at all.

Poor service. 15 minutes before closing time we werent answered at the drive thru speaker so went into the store. We were told that we couldn't order coffee inside and had to go round drive thru again.

Hit or miss. Avoid on summer days when the traffic is busy travelling to and from Loch Lomond and further afield. Normally a big queue of campervans. Had the wrong order given to me after waiting 25 mins in a queue on a busy day. Quiet days no issues.

Just went through this drive thru to get a coffee for my husband and a breakfast wrap for myself, smelt good but 1 bite and I nearly threw up, egg was all mushed up, bacon was piping hot but the sausage was cold as if it had just come out of the fridge, serious risk of food poisoning there, absolutely shocked at how they can serve food like that for £4 and the wrap was tiny.

We stopped and sat in for a coffee and muffin. The layout of the attractive modern interior and the staff disciplines showed very good recognition and minimisation of covid risks. Our coffees were perfectly prepared and the muffins both fresh and tasty. There was plenty of free parking and easy access from the A82.

Love Costa coffee plus range is nice too, great friendly and quick service here.

Despite the opening times showing that this costa was open, and the drive though being open. They refused to serve me inside the cafe. Terrible service and inaccurate information.
