Popped in on Saturday for a quick lunch with my mum. My mum had a baked potato & tuna which she enjoyed & I ordered the macaroni as I was feeling hungry which was lovely, but I think they forgot to fill the dish. It was an oval dish with one Skimpy layer on the bottom & a bit of tomato cut on top & a bit of bread on the side. Forget the bread & tomato,I ordered the macaroni & was really disappointed on the portion size & was still hungry after I ate it. I really should of said something at the time as I don’t know how you get away with this , well I do people don’t complain. I think if you are serving this portion size you need to put this in a smaller dish, charge less & write small portion, & forget the bread.A lot of places use the oval dish & size for macaroni ,but it is full to the top or near enough.I would be happy to pay more for a decent amount as it was tasty, but this let you down big time. Hopefully this will improve or don’t waste your money 💰 folks.

Went in for breakfast and coffee the breakfast was extremely dry everything was very well cooked and it came with no beans. For £5.95 plus £2.55 for the coffee a bit too overpriced. The coffee cup was hotter than the coffee even after sitting for 15 minutes cup was still too hot.

Arranged a birthday lunch over the telephone and were overwhelmed with the service, food and helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Asked for a birthday cake if possible and on arrival a birthday balloon was placed in the middle of the table. The food was all superb, very fresh and nicely presented. Can't fault the place and would recommend it to anyone. One note of caution: as the restaurant is on the top floor (no lift) disabled access would be difficult.

Popped in and had macaroni cheese, have to say I could have had several things on the menu, but plumped for my favourite and it was just fabulous, made with Marshalls Macaroni, which is unusual as most restaurants tend to use any kind on pasta which is just not right. Well done

The crockery is also desperately in need of replacing. The food is reasonable but fair to say you can get far better in Milngavie. If you ask for cans of juice, don't expect them to be cold!!

i visited the tea cosy after the original place we where going was full, with my partner, mother and brother. When we sat down we where asked if we all wanted a few minutes to look over the menu and the waitress took nearly twenty minutes to come back and take our order. we all ordered the breakfast at first they brought us toast with no knifes and didn't brig hem until they brought the full breakfast out, it was all extremely greasy ad didn't look appetizing at all, my mother couldn't eat hers as she felt sick with all the grease so we sent it back and just had the toast, when i went to pay for this at the end the waitress tried to charge us for all the food and when i explained what happened she drew me a dirty look and went to ask if she was to charge us or not, i was embarrassed that i had to tell her in front of all the other customers that we would not be paying for the uneaten meal. it was the worst meal i have ever eating and definitely not be going back there would much rather go to cafe alba around the corner and i would advise others to do the same..

Words cannot describe how rude and unprofessional the staff are in this cafe, however I will try.... We attended today for a spot of light lunch, we ordered soup and sandwiches and were told that if we were ordering a combo dish we wouldn't get salad with it, unless we paid for items separetely, no big deal but staff ( older lady, long blonde hair) walked away before we finished ordering. Meals arrived prior to our drinks, again no big deal but we did have to remind staff to bring them to us. "Two lattes?" Er no, sparkling water and a coffee. The water was brought over and I asked for some ice, " we don't have ice" and walked away. Perhaps if she had bothered to go into the kitchen and looked in the freezer...just a suggestion. Anyhow, onto the soup, we ordered cockaleekie, they brought us potatoe and leek, not even an apology or enquiry as to if we wanted a different one " that's potatoe and leek there's no cock a leekie". My partner joked that he was allergic to leeks and got a scathing reply "we'll there's leeks in the other one!" However, we had our food which was average at best. I went to pay, "we don't accept cards!!" Arghhhh! No signage indicating this anywhere. And to add insult to injury, we were overcharged!!! I just found the staff completely rude and unprofessional, never again!
