Taylor's Ice Cream in Lisburn

loved taylors ice cream and a regular customer. Recently bought three tubs ice cream three scoops in each one was for our mum she loves it as well. Not anymore so disappointed and now getting ripped of. Asked for one tub all vaniilla, one tub vanilla two scoops and galaxy chocolate, one tub vanilla, strawberry, honey comb. It arrived via justeat and when opened it lid was flush to the tub never like this before for three scoops. The one with chocolate was tea spoon full not scoop. Same for strawberry, honey comb disgraceful ripppng regulars of and still charging them for smaller scoops. Wont happen again using CASTLE TREATS ICE CREAM CASTLE STREET. They dont rip there customers of and cheaper even on justeat.

I have been doing birthday partys for my kids for the last 12 years and this was by far the best birthday ever!! I had my daughter and 11 of her friends with us for her 8th birthday celebrations! The service, value for money, attention to children and the entire thought throughout! I would highly recommend to anyone needing or wanting to book a party!! Helen and Thomas extremely accommodating.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy an ice-cream, coffee, tray bakes,and sweets

Quality ice cream with interesting flavours available! They have milkshakes and various other sweet food items. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park on the street outside. They take both cash and card. Good location. A neat alternative to Cafe Mauds and they don't rush you out the door like Mauds sometimes do. Very quiet but I liked that and I suppose it naturally is quiet at 19:30 on a Tuesday. Highly recommended and I'll be back soon!

We love an occasional visit here weather its takeaway ice-cream or sit in for coffee as well. A great experience every time.

Certainly set up to appeal to you people and families. Their ice cream is well known in Lisburn for many years and whilst there are lots of flavours to choose from. The traditional vanilla ice cream is the best.

Best in Lisburn. Amazing ice cream, amazing flavours, old style sweets by the quarter, Comfy furniture, what's not to like. Way better than anywhere else for ice cream. Update- still the best

The ice cream is to die for, there's seating on the inside which is lovely and comfortable. They also have all the Sweet's from the 70s it was like going back to school again 😂. The prices are great as well and the young girls behind the counter were very friendly.

Delicious ice cream, but always surprised that no gloves (or paper cone covers) are used, especially given all the Covid hygiene measures already taken. Maybe something to consider when directly handling something that will be eaten.

I've been going to Taylors for a couple of years now and every single time there has been excellent service and delicious milkshakes and sweets!

Stepped inside to a lovely decorated room —- quite dirty and sticky through! The counter had non inspiring ice creams and non inspirational staff - clearly they didn’t want to be there. The ice creams had no flavours... all tasted old and icy. Took it back to the staff and the response was a blank face. Never again

First time coming here last night and i will definitely be back! Lovely decor inside. Comfy sofas to sit on and eat your ice cream. I got the triple chocolate sundae and it was HUGE! Amazing prices too as it was only £3.90 which is great value for money considering you get three large scoops of any ice cream, oreos and chocolate pieces and chocolate sauce and sprinkles. Delicious I will definitely be back.

Have tried most ice-cream outlets in the Lisburn area, but none come near toe emulating Taylor's ice-cream, especially their vanilla flavour. Of course there are several other choices, plus good coffees & teas, but for me it's the vanilla ice-cream.

I have been eating the ice cream from Taylors for many, many years, and I love it!I reckon the recipe they use for the vanilla must be at least 50 years old .... letting my age away here (lol). We used to stop by on the way home for a 3poke" any time we went to visit our ailing relatives in Lisburn Hospital - I can remember going to visit my grandad there and asking if we could go back the next day (not to see granda might I add .... I wanted another cone)!The ice cream used to be served from the rear of a grocery/newspaper and general store, and there also used to be a fish and chip shop (owned by Taylors) next door -which often called there after a Saturday shopping to get a carryout (yuum)!Understandably things have changed over time and the shop has now become an Ice cream parlour. I've called on occasions during my peripatetic work days for a milkshake en route to my next client, but I still favour the vanilla cone (has to be a large one) - nothing can beat the flavour of a Taylors plain poke. I hope they continue in their ice-cream business for as long as I'm around!!

twice now i have went to get a taylor’s and once getting there they have already shut up shop! there closing times say 9pm but when i get there at 8.50pm they have shutters down and lights off! If the closing time says 9pm the shutters should not be down before hand and lights should not be off!

My mum used to take me to Taylor’s when I was a child, it was in the back of the shop and it was only their amazing vanilla icecream. When they opened up their icecream parlour I was overjoyed. So many flavours with the same original Taylor’s icecream taste (my favourite is honeycomb). I go here way to often and even in winter I love an icecream trip to Taylor’s. You will not be disappointed!!

Love love love this ice cream. Have been maaannnyyy times but a real hate of mine is the staff serve the ice cream cones and handle the money without washing their hands or wearing gloves. This is not hygienic!

Taylors is a homely and attractive little shop. The atmosphere is relaxed and reflects the effort the owners have made to recreate the pleasant memories of childhood - including the bottles of sweets. The ice cream is a very good standard and an interesting range. Definitely recommended!

I visited Taylors' for the first time since it became a "sit-in" Ice Cream Parlour. I used to buy their ice cream frequently over 30 years or more - as a "take out".

I buy there regularly, and the products, service, and value is superb. The shop is always spotless,and the staff pleasant.

I haven’t had Taylor’s ice cream for years - forgotten how delicious it was. So many up to date flavours to choose from - we had a mix of had raspberries and vanilla, peanut butter, skittles, bubblegum and fifteen as well as coffee - reasonably priced and great service. Love the decor. At last - a decent locally owned ice cream/coffee shop in Lisburn!

Haven't been in years (not since it was a shop) and having read reviews on here decided to give it a try. To be honest, the ice-cream is not what it used to be although there's now a wider choice of flavours. On the plus side, the prices are very reasonable. Décor is actually much more drab than it looks in the pictures, and a little heat would have been nice the day we visited. Toilet available - not for disabled

We bought ice-cream for the kids which tasted off. Didn't get a very pleasant response from the staff, even the manager came across rude! We will not be back ever. But it was a nice looking shop.

On heard about Taylor's for ice-cream for quite a while and finally made it. I wasn't disappointed. Seating, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, very good value and a traditional sweet shop too. Lisburn has waited quite some time for a place to get a cup of coffee up until 10pm - thanks.

OMG the ice cream is lovely and there is loads to choose from. The staff are friendly. They even have a choice of sweets to buy. Its good that you can sit in or take away. Will deffo be back

My daughter and I live close to Taylor's and we love going here for a sit-in ice cream. It's a lovely wee place, with an old sweet shop feel (sweets in jars). They have board games for the children too. Best icecream ever! Staff always smiling and welcoming.

We have lived here for nearly 3 years and never heard or seen of this place. So we searched for a ice cream place and this popped up. We thought why not. Well what a great suprise. Affordable prices. Child friendly. Staff were wonderful and the interior is beautiful. The ice cream/sundae' s were fantastic. Very filling and tasted amazing. The prices are perfecrlt affordable. Then the added sweet treats for the kids and adults are a bonus. Definitely will be returning soon.

Having intended to visit Taylors since moving to the area 6 months ago, I just wish I had been before now. The homemade ice cream is simply phenomenal with a huge selection of flavours. It is a great spot for kids with lots to keep them entertained. We will definitely be back to sample the coffee and cakes. Thanks Taylors!

A fantastic traditional ice cream shop that has been in Lisburn for many years.. Now has many various flavours as well as coffee and snacks. Great ice cream at low prices.

Being from the town originally, I always used to go here (used to be The Royal), for their ice cream. It's great after being renovated and they service many types of ice cream and excellent coffee. Make sure you visit.

Some different flavours and generous sizes. The sit in is really tidy and good for family or friends. There is alot of choice for sweets or ice-cream. Definitely a good stop in Lisburn.

Visited Taylor's for first time, despite living in Lisburn for years. Can't believe I've been missing out all this time. Great coffee and sensible prices and a fantastic range or tray bakes, cake and of course ice-cream. Only down side would be the huge stand of sweets down one side. Hard to keep kids focused....

Great place for a kids birthday party! Up to 12 children can design a pot, then make their own ice cream creations and toppings. Really good fun and very tasty icecream!

This place is a hidden gem for ice cream lovers! Being a seasoned ice cream taster (I wish that could be a job) I have to say Taylor's ice cream is second to none! The honeycomb is amazing! Beautiful sitting areas to relax and enjoy. Reminds me of something you would see in the movie Grease. Brilliant attention to detail in creating a beautiful cafe/ice cream parlour! I only wish I lived closer!

A standard plain vannila cone. Perfection and an old and good Lisburn tradition. You wouldn't regret seconds. Nice coffee shop too. Looks like it would be good for a kids party.

This used to be a sweet shop selling home made ice cream but it's morphed into an ice cream bar with a cafe.

Good selection of flavours. Changing from time to time. Hot chocolate drink large but too weak. Nice sweet selection. Nice staff. Bit unlit and hard to see outside.

This place - I mean, my husband took me here and I don't even like Ice cream that much. But we walked in, and it is absolutely beautifully decorated and the choice of ice cream is fantastic and cheap! My favourite one is the Oyster - filled with two scoops of ice cream, it is wonderful.

First visit here at the week-end with the grandchildren was pleasantly surprised sit in or take-away staff were really helpful as loads of ice-cream to choose from! also food menu so will go back and try again. Children can also have their birthday party here so excellent all round!

Found this place by accident a few weeks back.

Went with my husband and seven-year-old for ice cream one evening. Like but this place is open till 10 PM. It's owned by people who clearly love what they're doing – areas for children to playing, board games,magazines and newspapers, and other quirky details. There is seating outside for sunny days, and the toilets are clean and well-equipped. Service is very good, patient with indecisive customers and willing to offer samples, even 15 minutes before closing! I like less-sweet things, and this Cafe could improve its offering in my opinion by offering a few more adult sweet things eg hot chocolate made with dark chocolate.

We came here last night for desserts after an anniversary dinner out. And I was simply struck by this place: It is beautifully decorated in a stylish-quirky way. The ice cream we had was fabulous and cheap! The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean and tidy. It was lovely to see how locals from the area come in for their evening treat, any age group really, it was a pleasure to be there.
