Amazing food and great atmosphere! The host Lina was very helpful and made the experience even better! Highly recommend this place especially as a date night

We visited for our daughter’s birthday and were firstly told we could have her cake at the table.. in the cautious and woke world we now live in .. I’m not blaming the staff for that. However, we would always choose somewhere that allows cakes for future celebrations as it’s a big part of the birthday experience for us. The staff weren’t attentive at first but then our drinks order arrived in stages .. the soft drinks (which are easier to make) sat in the bar for 15 mins after the cocktails were served! The staff weren’t attentive chatting and the talk dark haired manager was on his phone. In the end we had to signal to the bar staff to bring the drinks to the table. We last visited in the early days of Tattu’s opening and it was a 5 star experience, however this time the food was not to the same standard. I chose baby chicken, which was very dry and the broccoli was overcooked .. it should still be firm when seared not soggy and almost blackened. Tattu is a very expensive restaurant and the experience did not match the £100 a head price this time. (this was with just one alcoholic drink per person)

First time to a Tattu restaurant. We opted for the taste of tattu menu. Food was lovely, the pork dumplings and truffle mushroom spring rolls were to die for! Our server Tyler was friendly and attentive, he was always asking if there was anything more he can do for us and his customer service was excellent. I will definitely be going again.

Unfortunately, the food looked delicious but when we ate it there was no flavour. My partner had a sticky beef rib which was extremely basic and I had terrayaki salmon which was just a plain salmon fillet (no sauce). Really disappointing experience, it didn't feel like a Chinese restaurant either. Wouldn't recommend, far too expensive for the quality.

We dined at the restaurant on Valentines night. The table was booked for 8:45pm. Restaurant was very busy on arrival so we were asked to have drinks in the bar, which was fine. We were shown to our table which was right next to the staircase and walkway into the first floor restaurant. My view was a grey wall and there were people brushing past me every couple of minutes due to the closeness to the stairwell. I asked for a different table and this was accommodated. We found the menu confusing and wasn't sure what quantities to order, but the waiting staff were useful. What spoilt the evening was being rushed by a suit, who had zero interaction with us at any other time in the evening. We were told we were overrunning by 5 mins and they needed the table back (news to us). Minutes later they presented us with the bill, regardless of us not having asked for it at that point. I completely ignored the rudeness and we finished our coffees and left when we were ready to. Food was nice, waiting staff were good. Management were unnecessarily rude. Spoilt the end to the evening.

My boyfriend and I went to here to celebrate our anniversary and just wow! It was our first experience with Tattu and the food was sensational, the staff were amazing all round from the bar to the waiters and the restaurant itself was just gorgeous! The food was so yummy and there was plenty of options to choose from, I highly recommend the dumplings and the beef fillet that literally melted into our mouths! The cocktails were strong and delicious 😁All of the staff were on the ball with absolutely everything but hopefully you are lucky enough to be looked after by Edwin. He took care of us the whole night, went through everything with us from the menu to the dishes (he knew his stuff) was a great laugh and treated us to a lovely anniversary surprise which was just the cherry on top to a perfect evening. Highly recommend for couples and also older families. Lovely environment everyone checks in on you no matter their role, great food, great decor and a great time.

Too overpriced for the flavours…and lack of choices/descriptions/taste Could have been better managed specially on a busy night.

Overpriced vs the quality (the £50 cocktail is not worth it imo). Way too loud (was hard to hear the waiters & them to hear me) and was in general very chaotic. They were absolutely heaving, but considering the price of this place- don't book more than you can handle? I do get that it was valentines though, maybe going on a regular day is better/less expensive. Also got overcharged, but they kindly corrected it after having it pointed out; although I noticed there was still an item on there we never ordered, but at this point I just wanted to leave. Waiters were all nice and attentive, just unfortunate the food just really wasn't the best for Chinese food (suppose this place is more asian-fusion?)

I went for my birthday with my family, honestly the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed it. However, the food was nothing special. Honestly, I've had better Chinese food in cheaper, family owned restaurants. It's beautifully presented but the taste was nothing special. When booking almost a month before the date, I asked to be close to the beautiful cheryblossom tree. However, we were put in the side tables that have no view but are more intimate like. In any other place that we have been, whenever someone has a birthday, they always bring something small with a candle to make the person feel special. We were there for my birthday celebration and mentioned it to the hostess and the waiter but never got anything. Our waiter seemed like a lovely person, though. Overall, I am not planning to go back to eat there. The bar looked nice, so I might give it a try.

Just like the time before, the experience was perfect. Augustas served us and was just as perfect, many thanks to him.

We had a lovely evening here having some cocktails. The bar staff was great especially the lady behind the bar, she really looked out for us giving us recommendations and then she brought us ones that were absolutely to our liking.

All the staff were excellent here - you never had to wait for anything you requested. Our server Edwin was particularly good, even giving us a short history lesson as a background to our sake. 😁 The tasting menu was great and plenty of food for two.

We had a great dining experience at this fusion Chinese restaurant, especially with their January deal. The vegetarian dishes stood out— the truffle spring roll and Kung Po tofu were absolutely amazing, though the vegetable tempura was just average. The service was friendly, and the decor was beautiful, making for a lovely atmosphere. Portions are on the smaller side, but it’s still a great spot for a special occasion.

We were looked after well by Antonio who ensured that our dairy intolerance concerns were checked and he came back with suggestions of an item to swap.Such delicious and quality food, the cocktail was amazing and the flower green tea was very special! The service was a bit disappointing. Despite having a reservation for dinner and specifying our preference, we were not given a proper table. Instead, they initially wanted to seat us at a bar table, which was clearly not suitable for dining. In the end, we had to find a table ourselves. That said, the food was good—I especially enjoyed the truffle dumplings. The interior is beautifully designed, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere.

I was really disappointed with the experience we had at Tattu. It was my friends birthday and we were there to celebrate. We were told that they would bring out a sparker at the end for the meal as we weren’t able to cut the cake which wasn’t allowed in the restaurant. The staff were not attentive at all. The entire time we felt like we had to wait around for the staff to look at us so we could ask for water. Water was only offered once. We had to wait 10 mins for a staff to look at us. We waited to ask for the bill for around 20 mins because the staff kept walking past us without even glancing at our table therefore it was hard to get their attention. We noticed the staff were too busy talking to each other and we felt ignored. We didn’t get the sparkler at the end of the meal. The staff didn’t bother to come back to the table to make the experience any special for my friend which was extremely disappointing. Having heard such good things about tattu it did not live up to the expectations. The food wasn’t hot what so ever. The main course took a good 30 mins after the starter to arrive. When it was time to pay our bill we were charged incorrectly . We made the waiters aware that it was wrong. This was a bit worrying as we booked through the link mentioned on your instagram. This should have already been on the system. If we didn’t realise in time we would have payed a lot more than we should have. The waiter then had the cheek to ask us why we don’t want to pay the OPTIONAL service charge :). I hope you know now WHY we didn’t want to pay the service charge. Highly disappointed as I went in with high hopes wanting to make my friends birthday a memorable and special experience but now she is suffering from tummy aches. Thank you so much

High end restaurant with very nice decor. Service was excellent as we had Luca as our waiter who was very attentive, friendly and patient. He clearly explained what items on the menu were halal and not as well as providing his own recommendations. The food itself was very nice and we enjoyed all the dishes. Only downsides would be the menu is quite limited for halal options and the portions size is quite small particularly for the price which is expected for a fancy restaurant like this one.

Amazing dining experience! Service was spot on from the minute we entered the door. The food was amazing! The cocktails were Lush. We had a very attentive waiter Nav who looked after us very well. We were on a special weekend, two best friends one from north one from Midlands. We met up in Manchester stayed in Spinningfields area, attended the Ballet at Opera House and booked a table for afterwards at Tattu, all within walking distance of each other. Will definitely be back.

I had the most amazing dining experience at Tattu recently! The food was absolutely sensational. We decided to go with a set menu, and it was such a treat dish after dish kept arriving, and every single one was bursting with flavor. I don’t think I could even pick a favorite because everything was so nice. What made the experience even better was how accommodating they were. My friend only eats halal, and I was really impressed that they had a few halal options available. It’s always such a relief when restaurants are mindful of dietary preferences, and it made the whole experience more enjoyable for everyone. And of course, the service was outstanding as always. The staff were attentive, friendly, and really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful time. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel special every time you visit. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy incredible food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend Tattu!

My average rating is 3 stars of 5 because service was not perfect. However I can't complain about food. It was really nice food, however I had same quality and quantity of the food for three times cheaper price. My girlfriend expected to find more vegetarian options but she didn't complain about food, we both left full and happy. I would rate service lower than the food. First of all we had a reservation but had to wait for the table around 10 minutes which was not exciting but was not terrible. But then we were seated at the worst table of all available probably. Not to even mention that table was too small even for two but it was on the corner and it was really busy corner, people were passing me every couple seconds and some of them were even touching my shoulder or elbow when I was eating. Even waitress did that once too. I am just glad that I was sitting on that side and not my girlfriend. Because it wasn't comfortable. They had some nice private tables where no one is passing through but they said they don't do reservations specifically for those tables, only seating people there first once those tables are free. Other thing was that they offered us water while we wait for food, asked if we would like still or sparkling and we asked for sparkling. Waiter brought water, poured in our glasses and left bottle on the table. We tried it and noticed it is still water. We told to waitress that we asked for sparkling but got still water. They apologised and brought one more bottle whic was sparkling water this time. However both waters were on the bill. It was not much of course but for me it is a principle thing to not pay for that what I haven't asked. I have asked them how come they not removing it from the bill once they were told that they mixed them up. They apologised and removed it from the bill. I expected to hear different music in there. It was playing something like club dance music and it was a bit too loud for me. However we enjoyed cozy interior and lights and we don't regret going there. But next time we are definitely will be trying some new place.

The atmosphere and actual location are really nice. Very ambient, decor super pretty. The small plates were the highlight of the whole night. The tuna & chicken truffle shumai were delicious. What really brought everything down was the mains. Hotpot was almost inedible, the broth tasted like straight soy sauce. Duck fried rice was mid, could've gotten better from a takeaway, no flavour. Broccolini was okay, came out slightly cold. For the price of the mains, expected a lot better. The service was also really slow. Took 20 minutes to get our food order, almost over 20 minutes to get our bill.

Incredibly disappointed with our experience at Tattu. We arrived on time but was told the table wasn’t ready and to just stand at the bar whilst we wait, followed by very rushed service once we were at the table. The food was very average and certainly not worth the price tag, we sent the desert back as it had no flavour at all. To be fair to the waitress she did apologise and we got cocktails instead, but when the bill is almost £300 for two people I do not expect to be sending food back! Just as cocktails arrived we were told they needed the table so could we move downstairs, despite us getting the table at least 10 mins late. Compared to 10 years ago when I came here the first time it has really gone down hill and succumbed to the Manchester curse of appealing to tacky influencers

Had a weekend away and booked the table in advance. The cocktails were great downstairs. The waitress (Diana) was absolutely amazing. Helping us order the courses and her attention was perfect. Lovely conversation without being too over bearing. Loved the experience and will return because of this type of service. Chris and Lorna.

First time at Tattu, hopefully not the last. Excellent food and service, highly recommend.

Visited for lunch recently and we tried the Mushroom and Truffle spring rolls as well as the fried pork dumplings for starter which were incredible. We then both had the Wok Fired Angry Bird for our main course, the chicken was great but sadly the Jasmine Rice it was served with was not sticky as described but more over-cooked with large parts of it clumping together in a hard ball rather than fluffy rice. When we raised this they were really apologetic and replaced our rice with our choice, we went for the vegetable fried rice and duck fried rice which were both amazing. Annoyingly both of these replacement portions of rice were on our bill when we were given it which we then had to raise to be removed, service was quite slow (I imagine as it was lunch time and not super busy) so this took about 15 mins. Overall though food is great and service in general is good.

Terrible experience at Tattu. Refused to give us the January discount offer at first and charged us an extra £120 for items we didn’t order! We went to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and purposely chose a weekday to get the 30% off good deal, as advertised on their Instagram and website. We booked through the website but when we received the bill it was without the discount. They said we had to specify we wanted to dine with the discount on the booking form? But we argued this as we specifically called to confirm this offer before our arrival, to which a staff member from Tattu confirmed we would be eligible for this offer. They reluctantly reduced the bill. However we then noticed they charged us an additional £120 too from bottles of wine we did not order. They reluctantly refunded us this amount, and acted like it was our fault. Not apologetic for their mistake at all. Would definitely not reccomend dining here again.

Food Luke warm. Music pumping . Tables to closed together ,requested nice table as it was a surprise meal for my husbands birthday……..No effort made at all for this occasion. Never been before and to be honest we have had better experiences for less money

Vibes are 10/10, definitely a wow from start to finish. Love the selection of drinks even the non-alcoholic options. We got the emperor's set, the dimsum was an interesting twist and the baked duck was insanely delicious. There were familiar taste from home. Overall, some nice pieces in the set but the combo of the green beans, yummy wagyu steak on rock salt and the noodles were progressively salty (we didn't finish it for this reason). The whole steam fish presentation was very unimpressive compared to the rest. They need to work on their vege options. Mostly nice staff but our waitress was quite impatient and gave us attitude when we didn't know how the menu work (u need a minimum of 2 people per set (same set)). She did give us a firework and fortune cookie since it was our anniversary. Overall, definitely worth the vibe (not unbearably noisy as well), great drinks, decent food and mostly friendly staff. Just don't get the teas (doesn't come in a pot with sharing cups and tasted like warm water)

Visited for lunch today as it's my Birthday and myself and my Wife's 17th Wedding Anniversary. The place is beautifully decorated and the aesthetics are incredible. The drinks, particularly the cocktails and mocktails, are to DIE for - SO gorgeous, and the staff are the most attentive and helpful I've ever had in a restaurant; they literally couldn't do more to keep us happy. Now, onto the food, it was all perfect. The pan seared tuna, the rare steak, the chicken and rice, perfection. I've never had Chinese food this good before, and probably won't again... until I revisit this place! Thanks everyone, particularly Lina (spelling?).

This place really isn't as good as all the reviews I've seen online. I was looking forward to this place for sooo long and when I finally went I was just disappointed. We went there and our table was around 30 minutes late, not sure what the point of booking is if they are going to be this late. Once upstairs, the tables were so close together it basically felt as if we were sat with the people around us. The food looks good but doesn't taste that good unfortunately. For the price you pay to eat here I genuinely expected the food to be amazing, but it was very mid. Our waitress was really nice. Overall, for the price, I would not recommend the food unless visiting on the set menu days. There are a lot nicer places in Manchester for a quarter of the price worth visiting.

Interesting decor on the walls, my girlfriend was a fan. They said they gave us slow service and apologised for the wait but I didn’t even feel like I waited that long, and then they gave us prosecco as an apology. The food was what you’d expect, ridiculously good, looked amazing, very cool and imaginative, and definitely an experience.

I enjoyed a lovely birthday meal with my partner. The food tasted delicious ! I have a nut allergy and the waiter was very attentive to my needs. The ambience and atmosphere was perfect. My only issue was when we finished our meal, I was sat for 15 minutes with empty plates and had to ask the waiter to remove them. I have worked in hospitality and one of the golden rules of good customer service, is to not leave diners with empty plates for longer than necessary! Other than that I cannot fault my overall dining experience ☺️

Food was very nice but expensive. Certain things were very salty. Don't like the way they add 12.5% service charge. I would rather leave a tip of my choosing.

My boyfriend and I were visiting Manchester and were recommended Tattu and we both felt it was quite under whelming. Yes, the decor and atmosphere were inviting/trendy but the food was (at best) just ok (especially when considering the higher price point). The service was average too. We had to ask for menus as we had been forgotten about after sitting down and the order of dishes was odd; the main course of beef was brought out first with the fish dumplings and the Pork starter was brought out last. Lastly, my boyfriend ordered a vodka soda and when we were brought the bill we realised he had been sneakily served a more expensive vodka (4th down in the list) which ended up being £18.50 - pretty underhand as practices go. Not sure what all the hype is, we are not returning.

My wife and I have just had the most incredible meal at Tattu. First time out without our 18 month old in a long time. We were met at the door by a friendly hostess who checked us in and took us to our table, giving recommendations for cocktails on the way. Our server, Edwin was brilliant the entire evening. He was very knowledgeable about the wine in particular, and even mentioned that he had worked in the same wine region and the same vineyard in New Zealand as my twin brother! We had the Signature menu which was incredible but added the lobster and prawn toast which was phenomenal! This place is well worth it for a date night.

The restaurant is very pretty and the staff very welcoming. However, half of the menu was not available, the prices are expensive for the quality! Also the wait for the table despite the reservation can be long!

Simply out of this world, the food drinks and service was excellent. Wild mushroom spring rolls were so delicious, we then had caramel steak, wagyu beef, duck rice, spicy noodles, jasmine rice and broccoli. All of these dishes were outstanding, wagyu beef my husband was really looking forward to and was not disappointed. Desert was sticky toffee and pear pudding and again the wow factor and I enjoyed every bit of it. The presentation was excellent, it was like having dinner theatre, every dish looked the part and were really amazing. Drinks again wow factor cocktails, delivered and presented to us which really added the special feel to this restaurant. We were looked after by Julia and she even brought us a little Sake to try complementary as we were celebrating with them. Thank you for an excellent visit and we would highly recommend.

We have eaten many times at Tattu and it is always amazing the food is so full of flavour and the drinks are some of the best cocktails I've had, the staff are also first class.

We came into tattu for a little tipple before dinner and was served by the charming Jordan, he had great cocktail recommendations and his knowledge of the bar menu was fabulous! As regular drinkers of tattu we will definitely be back, hoping we will see Jordan next time 😊

Fancied trying for a quick lunch. Good luck working out what time the lunch menu runs until. There's two different times on the website, a third on the open table listing. Even though the first menu you come across for Manchester advertises it until 6pm, when you click the link that says "Download the Manchester lunch menu here". You can only actually have the lunch menu until 5pm it turns out. Not great if you find out on the day and have already made plans or booked a table which will then charge you to cancel.

Cool restaurant with good service and atmosphere. The starters were truly amazing (best spring rolls and dumplings in my life), unfortunately the mains and dessert were extremely average. The mains maybe even below average, so I would definitely not go there for food again.

The price of the dish is 30-80 pounds for which you will never eat, the guys from street food cook better. Just water with flour and dough. The interior is beautiful but nothing more. And the staff is as hypocritical as possible🫨

It was a saturday so delays are completely expected but it was my partners birthday and we had been meaning to visit for the longest time so we had high hopes. We watched tables come and go before we had even had any food arrive. The 2 other members of our party had their meals 1 hour and a half before us! We had to sit there watching them eat absolutely starving with no updates as to why they had their food and we hadn’t it was ‘kitchen delays’ but surely they would work through the same ticket before moving on to another after an HOUR AND A HALF! The waitress was lovely i felt really awful she had to deal with the complaints but it’s not what you expect for a ‘high end’ meal. They did comp some items but we didn’t care about that we just wanted to eat at the same time as everyone and her to have a nice birthday meal. In addition when we first arrived we just got told to stand at the bar - absolutely no space there at all and kept being in the way. 15 after our booking time i went to the host stand to see how long it would be and then we got taken over and the table was empty- if i hadn’t gone over i wonder how long we would have been waiting! A few members of our party work in high end restaurants and bars in Spinningfields so we never usually complain and completely understand delays but this was absolutely ridiculous. Especially because half the party had to leave to get the last train home and we didn’t get home till after 12 when we live a five min walk away- the booking was at 8:45! Note to self don’t have a birthday on a saturday as kitchen delays mean you have to watch your friends eat three courses when you haven’t even eaten one!
